I rolled on the Island Indigo, the Pool Party and the Soft Sky inks.
Then stamped the snowflake in Soft Sky with the sentiment in Indigo
over the top.  Both stamps from the Tin of Tags stamp set.
I bought the in Of Tags stamp set thinking it would be good when I do my tags class
in Dec but it has been very versatile!
I added a little bling with the 1/8" silver ribbon.

Merry Monday #223 Fancy Frost Trees

For this color challenge, I started by flipping through my dies.
I thought it would give me an idea other than snowflakes which were all
I had in my head!  I landed on these Perfect Pines dies and grabbed the
Peaceful Pines matching stamp set. I thought somehow I could make
pink and blue trees work!  I was right!
Very excited how this card turned out!
I used Night of Navy for dark blue and Soft Sky for light blue.
I decided on Sweet Sugarplum for the pink even though it
can be a purple, too!
I cut the snow with the Swirly Scribbles die and added the
sentiment from Star Of Light which fit perfectly
in this space!

I hope you have a peaceful day and thanks for stopping by!
Head over to
to play along with the blues and pinks!

Love this print!
A simple stamp of the motorcycle and the tire mark.
I added some background with a grunge stamp in the same set.
I stamped the badge and then snipped it out so could layer on a
black piece.
Fun card for a fun challenge!

PP322 Reindeer Christmas

When I saw the clean and simple challenge this week,
I knew I wanted to use my reindeer die. I went straight for my
Very Vanilla car stock and emboss the top layer with the
Softly Falling emboss folder. I had planned to place the reindeer right on there,
But I have been hoarding the musical notes DSP from
This Christmas Specialty DSP. I added it and the deer seem to pop!
A little black twine on the gold glimmer reindeer and all done.
I decided to not add a sentiment to the outside
and it was not until I was taking the photo of the card,
I realized I had not use a stamp or any ink!

I hope you can play along this week

Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed week!

I added a little decor from Pretty Pines dies and Christmas Pines stamp set.
Not forgetting also a tiny copper pine cone charm!
I hope you enjoy your Sunday and have blessed week!

FMS263 Merry Christmas Starlight!

When I saw this sketch, I saw stars!
I went right to my Star of Light stamp set but the
color combo was not to come easy!
I looked and thought how I had designed cards with this set in Navy,
some Purples, Silver, etc. and wanted something different!
Well, I looked right at my Pool Party and thought of one of my fav
color combos-Pool with Real Red!
I stamped a few stars in Pool Party and die cut the red and pool stars.
They really neeeeeeded bling, so I gave them some!

Peace Boxes For Card Class

When deciding on what to make for my November class guest
to carry their cards home in from class, I went to my retired
bag of card stock.  When I saw how much of these two colors I still had,
I decided To make a box with them.
I put a box together then did not know what I would do to decorate.
Then the wreath came to me and the lovely peace sentiment seemed to be
perfect, esp. in copper foil!
It needed just something else and the window die worked so well..
I really like how they turned out!

Here is a close up of the top:

The window from Hearth & Home is cut in Sahara Sand.
I stamped the wreath in Hello Honey and the berries along with the
ribbon are in the greatly missed Blackberry Bliss!
The Christmas Greetings dies in peace is cut from copper foil.
I used the dimensions found for a A2 card box online.

Top is cut at 6 7/8" x 8 1/8" and scored all around at 1"
The bottom is cut at 7 3/4" x 9" and scored all around at 1 1/2"

Hope you enjoy your Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

I received a wonderful surprise gift from a person in my stamping group
a little over a week ago when at WCMD in Atlanta.
She remembered I love pineapples and gave me something shiny.

Here is a photo of the gift with my card and what inspired me to make this card today!

It is a beautiful gold pineapple key chain and I am enjoying it very much!
I grabbed my stamp set with the pineapple- Pop of Paradise
and the matching DSP called Pop of Pink.  I made this thank you card for her

A little watercolor wash on the background, hand snipped the
thank you sentiment and a few details and it was done!

Last card for my Nov card classes this week!
I could not decide on this last card for anything.
I decided to wait until I was back in town to come up with a
design and hope I was inspired this past weekend!
I was very inspired but not anything that jumped at me!
I have wanted to use this paper and then a card on Pinterest using
this DSP and the Cherry behind with the Cable Knit emboss folder
did jump out at me!
 The card was from
She used a different sentiment and shape
and some greenery.

Candy Cane Lane Tea Light Box

For WCMD 2016 Atlanta last weekend, we designed a
3D project to swap with another at the event.
I designed a small box using the Candy Cane Lane DSP
and place a sentiment from
Tin of Tags. I also have a friendly
gingerbread man peeking out!
I cut the center with a square die and place a window sheet there
so you could see the scented tea lights inside.
I love that I found at the Yankee Candle outlet
last month some Candy Cane Lane scented tea lights.

I used a 5 1/2" square piece of Kraft card stock for the bottom.
I scored at one inch all around.
I used a piece of Candy Cane Lane DSP cut at 4 7/8" square
and scored at 1/2" all around for the lid.

FMS262 Christmas Spirit

I wanted to use some element of the Star of Light set I had not used before
and this sketch was perfect for the star I used here in a circle.
I heat embossed it and the sentiment in gold emboss powder.
I added Night of Navy card stock and gold ribbon and then finished off
with some gold sequins.
Now as I have stated before, I am terrible with rhinestone, enamel shapes
and sequin placements. This last weekend when in Atlanta for some stamping events,
I was privileged to see a demo by the lovely and
amazingly talented Kimberly Van Diepen from
So taught us the triangle effect.  Place two together and a third up to form a triangle.
It worked great here.

I hope you have a blessed Friday and thanks for stopping by!

GDP061 Thanks For That Thing You Did!

I used the new stamp set called All Things Thanks
I received at Onstage Atlanta this past weekend.
I used my new stitched framelits again
but grabbed the square ones this time. The Black one is
a stitched framelit but does not show up as well.
My panels of DSP are not the most perfectly spaced,
but they do look groovy!
I used three of the same patterns from the Playful Palette
DSP paper stack.
The skinny ribbon is a new Emerald Envy
1/8" taffeta ribbon from the new Occasions catalog
due out on Jan. 4th, 2017.
Now go over to
to play along with this bold color combo!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by

Just had to make one with the cute penguin and his accessories!
I stamped one of the sentiments from the Snow Place set.
I added the snow flake background using a stamp from this set.
I stamped and cut out the penguin and placed him on the card front but he looked lost.
So I placed a few circles behind him and he showed up much better!

Shoe Box Swap Note Cards

Last night we did a shoe box swap for WCMD Atlanta.

I cut pieces of Fancy Frost specialty paper which is embossed paper.
Then sponged it with Soft Sky.
Stamped the sentiment from Frosted Medallions and placed some
shimmer ribbon in Sweet Sugarplum behind it.
Added some sequins for more bling.  I did stamp one
of the medallions on the envelope and inside I stamped
the Happy New Years sentiment stamp from the same set.

Santa Tags For You!

I needed to design more tags to show off in card classes next week.
I sat down with the Cookie Cutter Chrsitmas set and stamped several Santas, reindeer,
and gingerbread men.  I did some coloring on the Santas and choose two for today.
I also used the Tin of Tags stamp set for the To and From
and my fav-Go Ahead And Tear It Open!
