GDP102 Painted Soft Sky

I decided to start this sketch challenge by picking out 

some designer series paper or DSP. I grabbed the Painted Autumn 

DSP and this print stood out for the sketch sides.

I then pulled Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist and Garden Green ink pads.

I thought, why not blue flowers with lime lemon centers!

I cut the Very Vanilla at 4" x 4 1/4".  I cut the strips of DSP at 3/4" x 4 1/4".

I stamped the two step flower several times with each stamp 

but turning it a few times. It is only in Soft Sky and not stamped off

like I did on my pink flowers earlier this week.

I stamped the centers in Lemon Lime Twist and added 

leaves stamped off once in Garden Green to keep the soft feel.

I ran some Natural Trim in gold and layered a Garden Green

1 3/4" circle behind a piece of Very Vanilla punched from 

 the Pretty Label punch.  I stamped the sentiment from Painted 

Harvest in Garden Green.

  I started to add more gold something but stopped myself.

I liked it it just like this!

PP359 Oh Holy Night!

As soon as I saw this sketch, I thought of a hill

which made me think of Mary and Joseph in 

the Night of Bethlehem bundle.

I started with a piece of Sahara Sand and cut a half large circle 

with circle dies.

I stamped one of the sentiments in this set in Night of Navy.

I layered the hill on a piece of Soft Sky which I stamped the city

scape and stars the same color.

I stamped the couple and the star in Night of Navy and cut 

them out with the matching dies. I layered all onto a 

Night of Navy card base.

It was a quick card that could be mass produced in a short time, too!

Painted Harvest In Gray For Jen

Today is my friend Jen's birthday!

She loves gray so when I saw this card by my friend 

Shannon over at shannonkaypaperie.com 

I knew I had to make my version for Jen.

I stamped the sunflowers from Painted Harvest in Powder Pink

twice with each of the two stamps.

I added the Smoky Slate as the center but the dots are in Basic Gray.

I cut the Whisper White at an angle and layered it on a piece of 

Basic Gray card stock I embossed with the Petal Burst emboss folder.

I stamped the Happy Birthday in Basic Gray from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set.

I finished it off with a Smoky Slate gingham bow! 

Not to fancy but with these colors, I hope she loves it!

Coffee and Diamonds

I designed this card the same time as the brick wall one yesterday.

I wanted to do several projects while had the embossing paste out.

This time I used the diamond shaped mask. I also colored the 

white paste with Always Artichoke ink. on Crumb Cake card stock.

I cut some Coffee Break DSP for the side and then a Whisper White

Stitched Shape circle for the cup.

I stamped on the white circle with the Timeless Textures stamp that 

looks like a circular stain.  I stamped off once with Early Espresso

ink to make it look lighter.

I stamped the cup in Early Espresso and the lid in Always Artichoke  

along with the sentiment. I cut the cup and lid out with the matching Coffee Cups dies.

It just needed something else so I pulled some 

gold thread and layered it behind the cup giving a little bling.

Brick Floral

I finally opened my embossing paste!  It is anew product

in the annual catalog.  It goes on wet and when dries, it feels like felt.

But first I watched a video by Patty Bennett on how to use it.

I cased her card here changing some colors.

Very cool stencils like this brick wall make it easy so hope you can try it!

This brick kinda looks like a heart but I was not trying to do so.

To color the paste which is white, I dropped Cherry Cobbler and Cajun Craze ink

and mixed with a plastic tool. I then spread it over a piece of Sahara Sand card stock. 

I stamped the flowers and leaves on Whisper White card stock

with the Oh So Eclectic set and cut them with the matching dies.

I added a piece of twine that retired from this past spring. Layered it all on another piece of Sahara Sand for the base.

It was really a quick card.

TTTC012 Beautiful Daisy

Yes, I have been hoarding this paper and not been playing much

with the daisy set and punch.  Well, this challenge changed those things.

I am playing the bottom row with die cut, sentiment  and floral.

I die cut the squares from the Stitched Shapes framelits dies.  

I stamped my sentiment in Wisteria Wonder from Colorful Seasons stamp set.

I love this sentiment!

I stamped two daisies in Peekaboo Peach, used the matchingpunch

 and layered them together.

I then took a sponge dauber and added Calypso Coral to the center. 

For bling,  I added the gold faceted gem.

I punched Old Olive with the new leaf punch available in the

new 2017 Holiday catalog.  

Love the DSP called Delightful Daisy and this pattern/print is beautiful!

I finished it off with some Calypso Coral 1/4" ombre ribbon.

FMS302 Pumpkin Delight

Playing again with my new bundle of pumpkins!

The Pick A Pumpkin bundle is so fun to set, cut and arrange.

I had cut the Tangerine Tango pumpkin open die cut a few days ago but 

it did not work with my last project.  Was happy to start with it today.

I stamped the large pumpkin in Cajun Craze and and use that same 

color to rock and roll my Pumpkin Pie textured pumpkin.

The little gourd in stamped in Peekaboo Peach ink.

I cut several leaves and squiggles in Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight. 

I then added some mini gold sequins and a linen thread bow. 

All of this was arranged on a Very Vanilla stitched shapes circle then

layered on a piece of Painted Autumn DSP with a thick Very Vanilla base.

It just did not need a sentiment.

GDP101 Fab Flamingo

I sat for a very long time with this color challenge...staring 

at all my floral sets for some reason.  Then it hit me to 

grab my Fabulous Flamingo set!  Glad I did!

I started with the flamingo where I stamped full on the whole body

 and stamped off once for the feathers.  I started to layer the detail stamp over in navy,

but then decided I liked this look. The Bermuda Bay is great for the water 

but what to do with the Night of Navy? 

I then thought about the birds from High Tide set which look good in a dark color.

I stamped them up and added the thanks sentiment from the flamingo set.

I did all this without thinking of a layout. 

Then I remembered a card I had seen this morning 

that used this scallop die from Seasonal Layers thinlits dies.

I then used it with some Flirty Flamingo card stock and layered it all on 

a Bermuda Bay base.

I finished it off with a few rhinestones on the water.

FabFri119 Beachy In Black/White/Gold

Playing along with the sketch challenge this week over at

fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com

I thought of many sets for this sketch but since I was already

 heat embossing for yesterday's card, I decided to make another 

gold beachy tree and leave it gold without coloring it.

I stamped first the shells background from

Magical Mermaid in Sahara Sand 

and then stamped the tree in VersaMark on Whisper White.

I heat embossed with gold emboss powder.

I cut a strip of Basic Black card stock and heat embossed 

in Winter White the sentiment.

I love the black/white plaid from Merry Little Christmas DSP

 and layered it on a piece of think Whisper White for the base.

I added a half foil snowflake behind and layered my sentiment banner

on top. It needed a little gold too so I place a gold metallic shape on it.

Sweet card in black/white/gold!

The DSP, foil snowflakes and the stamp set called Beachy Little Christmas

will all be in the new 2017 Holiday catalog which starts on Septmeber 1st!

PP358 Beachy Little Christmas

I was looking around at my stamps trying to decide
what to color in for the challenge.
I then saw this saw in corner of my eye and remembered
someone stamping it in gold or cooper and coloring in the ornaments.
The Beachy Little Christmas set will be in the new 2017 Holiday catalog
 available to order on Sept. 1st!
I decided to try by stamping the tree on a Whisper White
oval in VersaMark ink and then heat embossing in gold emboss powder.
I used my aqua painter to color the shells, seahorses and such.
I heat embossed the sentiment on Pool Party and since I had a half of a new foil
snowflakes laying there...I put it behind for more gold.  Snowflakes will also be
in the new 2017 Holiday catalog.

Gather Together With Pick A Pumpkin

I was happy to play with the new bundle Pick A Pumpkin.

I love pumpkins and soon will be decorating my house

 with my large collection of pumpkins and gourds.

I first cut a piece of Very Vanilla and used my aqua

painter to water color Soft Sky.

I then stamped several pumpkins in three colors of orange

 and one I rocked in two colors.  I also stamped some 

leaves in Old Olive and cut them with the matching dies.

I also cut some cute curls and leaves in Old Olive card stock.

This set dies not have sentiments so I used one that fit well from

Painted Harvest stamped in Cajun Craze.

I shall have more pumpkins for you soon!

For You With So Many Shells

This card is a result of many unused scraps on my desk

from projects started.

I had stamped the Burlap background in Soft Suede for another project

but found it too dark for it so I laid this piece aside. I had cut the 

Calypso Coral stitched circle for another project, but then decided on another color.

So I did not let these go to waste.  I layered the background on 

Calypso Coral card stock and then a Soft Suede base.

I I stamped the shell in Coral lightly by stamping off once with the ink.

I then stamped the sentiment over it in Soft Suede and punched it with the 1 1/2"

circle punch.

I added some Natural trim in gold because I had a bow also laying unused on my desk.

TTTC011 Colorful Leaves

I decided to use the bottom row of leaf, free, splatter.

I choose purple as my free space and then pulled this color

combo of Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango.  You know I love purple!

I cut the leaves from Seasonal Layers thinlits dies in these colors.

I stamped the sentiment from the matching stamp set 

called colorful Seasons.

I used ink splatter also in these colors from Awesomely Artistic.

Simple card but love the colors and leaves!

I have been hoarding it.  I love this pattern with the flowering vine.

I decided to show case it.  I grabbed a fav sentiemnt

from the All Things Thanks set.

I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White and 

cut it out with the Layering Circles dies as well as a Calypso Coral.

I ran some Coral thick twine with a piece of mini gold 

sequins around the DSP and the Whisper White piece before layering 

on the Basic Black base.

Simple with a little sparkle.

Guess Who I Picked?

I love Brian's card and decided to case the layout and colors!
I started with the Marbled background stamped in Powder Pink ink.
I layered it up but not as perfect as Brian does.
I have a Sahara Sand base and layered Whisper White
and then Calypso Coral behind the Marbled piece.
I then stamped several shells on Whisper White.
The large shell and small one are in Sahara Sand and Powder Pink.
I stamped the other shell just in Calypso Coral.
I placed them on a Whisper White circle.
For the Seas The Day sentiment banner, I stamped it in
Calypso  Coral and then distressed the paper with my finger nail.
The card turned out so soft!

PP357 Thankful In Burlap

When I saw these colors, I was not sure what I was going to design.

I had the Burlap background still out and thought

it would be different to stamp it in Bermuda Bay.

I like how it turned out on Whisper White.

I then stamped the new sunflower from the 

Painted Harvest set on a white circle.

I stamped off with Calypso Coral and then full on with the second step stamp.

I stamped the middle in Pear Pizzazz and the dots in Calypso Coral.

I stamped over the image with Bermuda Bay then added a

Calypso Coral circle.

I stamped the leaves in Pear Pizzazz on Whisper White 

and punched out with the matching leaf punch.

I also punched some leaves in Pear Pizzazz to add behind.

I think it turned out really well.

Last of my Painted Harvest parade of cards!

I started with the Crush Curry base and layered another 

great pattern from the Painted Autumn DSP.

  I added some Tangerine Tango to the bottom.

 I stamped the sentiment and leaves on Very Vanilla 

in Emerald Envy ink and cut out the leaves by hand.

I made the sentiment a short banner and used some 

1/4" Natural trim in gold.

I made my own background with the leaves stamped 

in Garden Green on Garden Green card stock.

I then layered a Tangerine Tango banner with a 

piece of Painted Autumn DSP also cut as a banner.

I stamped three leaves on Very Vanilla in Garden Green ink 

and used the matching punch. I stamped the sentiment

in Soft Suede ink and cut it in a oval which I layered on a 

stitched oval in Soft Suede.

Again very quick card!

Simple card but oh I love those sunflowers!

I stamped them in Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry ink and added 

Fresh Fig to the middle!  The leaves are in Garden Green...some are stamped off once.

The sentiment was stamp in Fresh Fig to finish it off.

The Very Vanilla background was then layered to a Fresh Fig card base.  

It was easy but makes a sweet card!

Love this set and matching DSP. Again this is 6 days of painted Harvest suite!

I stamped the sunflower in daffodil Delight

 and Crushed Curry with Soft Suede in middle.

I rocked the edges around in the soft suede ink pad after I cut with the

Stitched Shapes circle.

I then stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig.  

I stamped the leaves in Soft Suede and punched them out with 

matching leaf punch.

I layered on some Painted Autumn DSP and ran the 

Daffodil Delight stitched ribbon across to finish it off.

called Painted Autumn.

I stamped the leaves in Soft Suede on Lemon Lime Twist

 and punched with matching leaf punch.

Thankful Painted Harvest

I love this set.  It is new in the 2017 Holiday catalog beginning Sept. 1st.

It called Painted Harvest and it has a matching leaf punch you can 

buy as a bundle.  The leaf punch is something that can be used with so many other 

sets and projects especially in the fall. I used it differently here 

by punching the same color as my base and layering on it

for a paper embossed look.  I stamped the 

sunflower in Daffodil Delight and then the second

step with Crushed Curry.  The middle with Fresh Fig and the 

two steps of leaves in Old Olive. The sentiment is my fav and 

I stamped it in Fresh fig. Fast and simple....in fact I designed this 

card along with 5 others you will see over the next several days in

under an hour with a few supplies I had taken with me out of town.

Coffee Cafe Bags For Class

I made these bags for my guest in class to carry their cards home this month.

I bought the craft bags at Michael's and then I cut the circles in 

Garden Green and Whisper White.  I stamped the textured 

coffee cup , lid and the sentiment on Whisper White and cut them out with the matching dies.

I also used those dies to cut the Soft Suede paper sleeve.

I layered some burlap ribbon behind for some more texture and natural look.

Oh, Flamingo Friend!

I have been trying to find a moment to use my Marbled 

background stamp and finally decided to ink it 

up along with the Fabulous Flamingo set.

I stamped the Marbled stamp in Tranquil Tide on Whisper White

card stock and the layered it on a thick Whisper White base.

I added Calypso Coral card stock and some Tranquil Tide ribbon

before popping up my flamingo image.

I stamp the flamingo in Calypso Coral and then Basic Black. 

I added the sentiment from the set in Tranquil Tide ink and cut it all

out with a Layering Circle framelit die.  I added some stars from

the Subtles enamel shapes (never seem to use the stars).

TTTC009 Thankful For You

I decided to go with the center row down with sequins, distressed inks and stencil.

I pulled out a mask to do the stencil and sponged on 

Lemon Lime Twist ink.

 I then sponged around the edges of the white card stock as well.

I layered it on a piece of Basic Black and then a piece of thick Whisper White card stock 

for the base after wrapping some black twine around.

 I added the black sequins and then I decided to pull a new sentiment

 from the Painter Harvest set which will be in the holiday catalog on September 1st, 2017. 

It fit just right inside the Pretty Label punch.

Happy Eclectic Birthday!

Well, the last card for class this week is with the Oh So Eclectic set.

I used a Berry Burst base and layered it with a piece of Whisper White

that I cut with the Eclectic Layers dies and placed some 

Naturally Eclectic DSP behind the cut out.

I stamped the flowers and a leaf on Whisper White card stock

and cut them and a few more leaves from Emerald Envy card stock. 

I stamped the flowers with first Berry Burst and then with Night of Navy.

I colored a bit of the stem of top flower with a Emerald Envy marker

 and the center of the bottom flower with a Lemon Lime Twist marker. 

The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy and I finished

off with a Berry Burst crinkled ribbon bow.

I have designed this card as the fourth for card class next week.

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the 

Burlap background stamp in crumb Cake ink.  I placed it on

a Crumb Cake base.

I stamped the sentiment on a Very Vanilla 

oval in Chocolate Chip and and the shell in Crumb Cake and Pool Party.

I cut a stitched oval in Pool Party and layered on Burlap background.

I finished it off with some linen thread across the card.

This is my third card for classes next week!

I could not decide whether to do a hot cup or cold latte

for the class card with the Coffee Cafe bundle.

I finally decided it was summer and go cold.

I stamped the cup with Early Espresso ink on Soft Suede card stock.

I cut it with the matching dies.  I added the paper sleeve

cut from the same dies in Crumb Cake. I stamped the whip cream

in Soft Sky and stamped the straw in both 

Garden Green and Pear Pizzazz.  These are also cut with the matching dies called

Coffee Cups framelits dies. I stamped the heart from

Wood Words and cut it with a matching die from Wood Crate. 

I layered it on a Pear Pizzazz circle.

I decided to do this layout so the guest could 

pick a sentiment even Happy Birthday to put on their card.

I layered some Coffee Break DSP with some Soft Sky and Early Espresso

card stock and place on a Pear Pizzaazz card base.

It is all finished off with some Crumb Cake ribbon across the card.

I really like the colors and this suite!
