Wooden Crate With Daisy

Just playing around with the wooden crate!

I decided to put one together
cut from the new Wooden Textures DSP
paper stack and I stamped the daisy with the
new Daisy Delight stamp set in
Peekaboo Peach and Soft Suede on
Peekaboo Peach card stock.
Not sure what I will put in the crate but
I really think it it is stinkin' cute!

Thanks for stopping by today!

GDP090 Oh, Hello Friend!

I have been wanting to use more of this print( I think is my fav
print form the pack) again
. I layered it with Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy card stock.
I stamped the daisy on white with Night of Navy plus Daffodil Delight in the center.
I punched out with matching punch and popped it up on a white circle
I embossed with the Brick Wall emboss folder.
I used some 1/4" double stitched ribbon in Daffodil Delight down the front
and added a bow.  A quick sentiment from Oh So Eclectic and
a gold gem to finish it off.

Go play along with the global-design-project.com
sketch challenge this week!

I hope you have a blessed day!

PP347 A Frozen Birthday Treat

I have many stamp sets that are clearly birthday sets but for this
challenge I thought I would challenge myself by not using them!
I pulled out the under used Mixed Drinks set and went for it!
I started with the drink.  I want it to look tropical and possibly
frozen so I choose Peekaboo Peach for inside the
Basic Gray glass.  I added the little umbrella stamp by coloring it
with Basic Gray on the stem and Island Indigo on the umbrella.

I then cut it out with the Layering Circles dies
and then cut from a scrap of card the Island Indigo scallop circle.
However, when I did I thought how cool to put the circle in the middle of the
negative image.
I layered fun Peekaboo Peach polka dots in the recently retired DSP
behind and on top of more Island Indigo for the base.
I finished it off with a thick white twine bow!
The sentiment was grabbed from Birthday Banners set!
Head over to thepaperplayers.blogspot.com to play along!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a wonderful day!

Just Breathe Birds

Again creating a background by stamping with a clear block.
I used Pool Party ink this time with the block.
I added sand with Crumb Cake ink and Grass with Old Olive and
stamped the birds and sentiment in Soft Suede.
I only added a strip of Soft Suede to the base so the scene is the focus.

I leave for the beach tomorrow and can't wait to be relaxing there and
listening to the waves of the ocean.
I have tried to have a blog post each day and hope you have
a lovely relaxing week, too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Just Breathe Beach Scene

Watching my friend Jackie Bultje from thepamperedstamper.com
stamp with clear blocks, I decided to make a few cards using them too
along with the High Tide Set and the sentiment from Colorful Seasons
plus the chair die from Seasonal Layers.
I stamped the background with a size D clear block in Soft Sky.
I added water with with Marina Mist ink and grass with Old Olive in.
Added birds in Basic Gray and I cut the chair
from Real Red to pop with the blues.

Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

FMS290 Life Is Beautiful

I have pieces from my card class laying on my desk
when I saw the sketch and decided to make them work.
I had the petal medallion already cut and then cut a few
more pieces for the center. I added a glitter enamel dot to
the middle. I also added some Lemon Lime Twist woven
ribbon across and used the Eastern Palace DSP for banners.
I love the curve of the sentiment Life Is Beautiful.
Play with the fun sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

I hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

GDP089 Let Hope Be Your Lighthouse

I had this set sitting on my desk and so I thought
it would be a good challenge with these colors.
I stamped the lighthouse in Calypso Coral and Memento Tuxedo Black
and did some grass in Old Olive and some Crumb Cake for sand.

I did a simple sketch so you focus on the scene and sentiment.
Hope you can play along with the color challenge too over at
global-design-project.com
