PP319 Peaceful Pine Tag

I decided to go with the bottom roll-Diecut, Pine, Ribbon.
Here is my project:

I need many tags for class coming up in December.
So when I saw this, I decided to try a tag design I saw on Pinterest.
I heat embossed in gold On Garden Green card stock the tree from Peaceful Pines.
I cut it with the matching die cut and added a glimmer gold star.
I grabbed my plaid print from Warmth & Cheer DSP.
Layered it with some Crumb Cake and punched the top with the
Scallop Tag Topper punch.
I used some vintage white satin ribbon and tied it with a little Garden Green twine!
I liked it with nothing else on the front and can add the to and from on the back side.
I hope you enjoy your day and can play along with the Tic-Tac-Toe
challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com

Thank you for stopping by today!

Christmas Magic

I designed this card for my mom and step father for Christmas!
My step father drives trains and he loves them.
I stamped on water color paper and used lots of colors.
I like the North Pole sign since it looks like the train is coming from there.
I really like the stripe background because it looks masculine, too.
Hope you can grab some water color paper and an aqua painter today!
Have a  lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

FMS260 Christmas Blessings

I have been wanting to play with the Pines bundle so when I saw this
sketch, it was a perfect fit.
I stamped the two step branches in Pear Pizzazz and then Garden Green.
I cut the branches and pine cone with the dies.
Love the pine cone die cut with the copper foil!
I added the Christmas Blessings sentiment
and This Christmas Specialty DSP.

I water colored the tree and snowman.

The Last PPA Challenge! Wishing You the Happiest of Days!

The is the last of the Pals Paper Arts challenges.
There had been a low participation for a while and
the leaders decided to discontinue the challenge.
I was sad since I love being a design member and I will
miss posting on Thursdays.
Also, I was the color designer for next week
and was sad we did not go until the end of the year.
Moving forward...

I hate to cut in weird angels...I just never do it right...one reason there is ribbon here!
I started with the DSP I keep trying to use but seem to hoard.
I added the ribbon for interest (or because my cut was not straight)..who knows? hmmmm
I did heat emboss the sentiment from Frosted Medallions and one of the
shapes from Paisley & Posies in gold emboss powder.
I added it to the Delightful Dijon doily for cuteness!
Hope you can play along with our last challenge

GDP059 It's Christmas Already?

I looked at all my stamps with animals
and decided I wanted something fun and unexpected.
I grabbed my llama and went Christmas!
I decided to stay with the colors from the DSP here-Crumb Cake and Basic Black.
I stamped the llama on Crumb Cake and colored his blanket
with the same color marker.
I used the sentiment from Snow Place.

PP318 Touches of Texture

I have missed playing with the Touches of Texture set
so  I grabbed it for this challenge!
I water colored the flowers with Emerald Envy and Delightful Dijon.
I added some Moroccan DSP behind with a Delightful Dijon doily.
Used some of the texture stamps from the same set on the background.
I ran natural gold ribbon across and placed the sentiment on top
from a retired set called Good Greetings.
Really a great sketch this week and hope you

Peaceful Noel

I saw someone online stamp the deer in Whisper White craft ink
on Early Espresso and had to try it.
Then I thought of cutting the tree from same dies out in gold foil.
So I had these two pieces sitting there and I stared for a long time.
Finally, I grabbed some plaid and knew I had something!
I cut to fit inside my gold strip I cut the tree from and layered on Cherry Cobbler.
I looked at the Christmas Greeting thinlits but finally settled with the noel
die from the Christmas Stockings thinlits dies.  Really love how it tuned out!
Thanks for stopping by this Monday and have a great day!

Thankful Pumpkin!

I decided to do another card from the Freshlymadesketch.blogspot.com
this week.  I wanted to water color the pumpkin.  I used water color paper
and an aqua painter with Tangerine Tango, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.
I stamped the background with Ghoulish Grunge in Chocolate Chip.
The sentiment is fromAcorny Thank You.  I hand snipped it out.

Light Of The World in Wisteria Wonder!

I saw a beautiful card with this set by Pootles (aka Sam Donald)
online in Wisteria Wonder and decided I wanted to make a card
 with same set-Star Of Light".
I stamped the "swosh" twice on background. I stamped the words top and bottom.
I then stamped the star and cut it with matching dies.
I cut in Wisteria a small star for center of big one and added a rhinestone.
Love the softness of this card!

PPA323 The Best To Come

I pulled out my Moroccan DSP and used a piece
in Emerald Envy.  Then I thought I would use the big
medallions to stamp the three colors.  This was my first time to
try some scrunching of the ribbon.  I used many glue dots!
The sentiment is from Frosted Medallions in the holiday catalog.
A little bling and all done.
I hope you can head over to

Love the plaid challenge.  I had several plaids to choose

Love all the colors together.
I love this sentiment stamp as well.
I think because I can color it easily and the different fonts are cool, too!

I wanted to have this clean and simple card to have a soft look, too.
I always say I am going to do some white on white but never do...I do love color!
This was perfect time to remember to layer in white!
I heat embossed the emboss in clear emboss powder.  I then sponged
So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, and Pumpkin Pie.

FabFri 98 Just Thinking Of You!

Happy Sunday!
I think this is my first time playing with Fab Fri.
After seeing my friend Brian King's post on Friday(stampwithbrian.com),
I decide I had to take these colors and make a non Halloween
card, too!  Which is not too hard since
I usually do not make any Halloween stuff since I do not celebrate it.
But sometimes a friend or customer will ask me to make one for them.

I thought it would be cool to pop these colors off of black.
I really like the way it turned out.
It fun to start a card and have no idea how you are
going to do the layout but it just comes together like magic!

FMS258 Peace With Pines

I grabbed my Warmth & Cheer DSP pack to started.
I was planing on some plaid but the trees jumped out
and then I thought of the Perfect Pines bundle.
I like how the card turned out...but it was hard to decide which tree to stamp!
I settled on this one so I could string the lights/ornaments
(whatever they are) across in Cherry Cobbler.
I like the layers here...it was a great layout!

Merry Monday#217 Winter Post Card

I went vintage and this is the first set that pooped in my head.
It is a retired SU! set called Winter Post and I love it!
I started with the Post Card stamped in Soft Suede
and the post mark stamped in Crumb Cake.
I stamped the script from By The Tide.
If you read closely it is talking of pink sea shells!
I then sponged the edges in Soft Suede and used a distressed tool
on the edges. I stamped the couple in Cherry Cobbler.
I mated it to look a little like a frame picture.
I also used some retired card stock-naturals vanilla.
I only have a few pieces left of it but miss it and the naturals white, too!

PP316 Enjoy The Ride!

My mind should have went to leaves and such when I saw this
color challenge, but it went to the Born To Ride set.
It was probably the orange and black!
It worked out adding in that green, too!
I am glad they choose Wild Wasabi.  I like it and do not use it enough.
I try to grab it when I can.
I used the bricks from Ghoulish Grunge and the  stamped the
motorcycle over even though you can see through to the bricks some.
I stamped the badge in Stazon Black and then punched it out.
I stamped it out again in Wasabi and cut the middle banner out.
I then trimmed around the first banner so I could punch
one in Basic Black to layer behind.

Tidings of Comfort and Joy

This is the last card for my October Christmas card classes!
I have to say it should not have been so hard to create
but I had too many ideas I wanted to do with this set!
I added some DSP for that Garden Green color with the Vanilla and Real Red.
I first stamped the sentiment I really love in the right corner
and then stamped the branches in Pear Pizzazz coming from the left top corner.
I then added the pine cones stamped in Chocolate Chip on Kraft card stock with the
Garden Green pine branches die cut. The Real Red bow is also die cut from the same
die set called Pretty Pines thinlits dies.
A quick pearl finishes off this pretty pine card!

Embellished Ornament in Eggplant

Happy Saturday!
This is my 4th card for Christmas card classes in October!
I embossed the background with the Pine Bough emboss folder
in the holiday catty.  It is hard to noticed tucked in stuff on page 20.
I took a sponge dauber and rubbed Old Olive ink over the branches.
I stamped the ornament in Elegant Eggplant and cut it with the matching dies.
Used silver foil for the topper and silver ribbon for a cute bow to finish it off.
I really like that I can combined a set that carried over to
this year and a new emboss folder!

I love Sweet Sugarplum but I have not grabbed this color enough!
So I featured it today with some Very Vanilla!
I heat embossed the large medallion from Frosted Medallions and the
sentiment from Good Greetings.  I used a sponge dauber to add a little
Sweet Sugarplum ink over the words and almost all the image.
I really like the way it turned out!

Happy Hello Scarecrow!

I started a card where I was stamping leaves and heat embossing them in clear.
Then taking the ink and rubbing over for a cool background
but it did not turn out the way I had in my head
so I pulled it off and decided to do a little water coloring instead.
On watercolor paper, I stamped the scarecrow and the crow from
Cookie-Cutter Halloween and the Jack-O-Lantern with sentiment are from
the Paper Pumpkin Sept. kit called Something Good To Eat.
It looks black but the sentiment is in Elegant Eggplant.
Very simple but love that Cajun Craze houndstooth paper from
Petals & Paisleys DSP!
Added a little natural gold ribbon to finish it off!
Now head over to palspaperarts.com to play along with the great color challenge

Trick Or Treat!

This is another project I designed for the InkBig Academy Stamps
design team.  I started this project with purple in mind but grabbing my
Wisteria Wonder ink. Everything here on the main image including the fence
was stamped from the Sweet Home stamp set.
I did stamp a background using the Ghoulish Grunge spider web.
The sentiment was a die cut from the matching dies Home Sweet Home.

GDP056 A Thank You Wreath

The first thing that popped out to me on Bibi's card was the color!
So I started with Flirty Flamingo card stock and then some a print from
the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper.
I stamped the spring wreath on the Whisper White
so I could water color like in the inspiration card.
I decided to make it a thank you card since my good friend

A Plum Haunted House!

Hello all!  As you know I do not celebrate Halloween but sometimes I do
design something for that holiday.  I am on a wonderful design team for
InkBig Academy inkbigacademystamps.com and I was able to design projects using the Home Sweet Home bundle.
There is a stamp set called Sweet Home with many possibilities
but then if you add the matching dies, you may be go into
design overload!
This is the first of 6 projects.
These house are designed to hold canny or another treat
but I closed mine up to use as decoration.
I started with the house base die cutting Perfect Plum card stock
then embossing it with the Brick Wall emboss folder.
I added bats in Basic Black, a ghost in Pumpkin Pie and
even stamped a Stazon Black on vellum for the spider web.
The door knob is a enamel shape in Pumpkin Pie.
Lots of possibilities!
I hope you have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Promise Of Christmas

I had a hard time deciding what colors to use.
I finally decided on Night of Navy with gold emboss.
I heat emboss with gold on a Whisper White
circle and then popped it up on the center of my O in Joy!
I stamped the other sentiment in Tip Top Taupe which I used used to frame the
images. I did add some gold foil behind.
I like the clean and crisp look of this card!
This is the 3rd card for my October Christmas card classes coming up.
