Love You More Than Cookies


I did some casing from the annual catalog page 91
with the Nothing's Better Than bundle.
I used Magenta Madness for the base and the 
designer paper. I then stamped the cookies 
on white in Early Espresso ink and Crumb Cake.
I sponged a little more Crumb Cake ink on the them after.
I cut them with the Love You More dies.
I also cut the words with same dies in Early Espresso card stock.
I cut the white with a Stitched Rectangle die.
I punched the Magenta hearts with a small retired punch.
I finished off with a few rhinestones.

Sending this out to my mom today!

GDP251 Perfect Sunset



For this sunset card I used my new set called Sending Sunshine.
Love it went well with the theme over at global-design-project.com this week.
I stamped the scene on white card stock cut with the Stitched 
Rectangle die. I stamped the two water stamps in 
Coastal Cabana and Misty Moonlight.
I added the sun in Mango Melody.
I stamped the clouds and the sentiment in Moonlight ink.
Then I started rolling! I rolled with the sponge brayer
some Magenta Madness ink on top and some Sahara Sand on bottom. 
I then layered it on a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock
ran through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder.
Finally added to a white base to finish it off.

PP501 and GDP251 Thinking Of You Under The Sea



Love this Whale Of A Time suite!
I used four different prints of the designer paper
for the sketch challenge over at 
thepaperplayers.blogspot.com and the theme over at 
global-design-project.com 
I layered the coral print on the white base.
I then added the strip of Pretty Peacock print across. 
I cut the under the water scene from another print 
with the stitched rectangle dies. 
I cut the sea turtles from another print of designer paper
with hand snips. 
I cut the banner in white from the Tasteful Labels dies
 and stamped Colorful Seasons sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink.

CTS382 Adventure Awaits!

I like how this card turned out for the casethissketch.blogspot.com 
I started with this piece of World Of Good DSP and layered it with 
Whisper White and then on a Basic Black base.
I then stamped the globe from Beautiful world 
in VersaMark on Basic Black and heat embossed in white.
 I cut it with the World Map dies along with the gold foil for the stand. 
I stamped the sentiment from same set in Memento Tuxedo Black 
and cut it with Stitched Rectangle dies.

FMS445 & FF0064 You're Just Like Coffee





I worked the sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com and the 
pick challenge over at festivefridaychallenge.com 
I went for brown, pink, vanilla and die cuts. 
I do love brown and pink together!
I stared with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock
which I stamped with Early Espresso ink and the 
Nothing's Better Than set. 
I layered with Flirty Flamingo card stock and a Soft Suede base.
I then punched a Soft Suede 2 1/2" circle.
I also cut the Flirty Flamingo scallop strip from the 
Budding Blooms dies. 
I stamped the coffee cups on vanilla card stock in Suede ink 
and then with Flirty Flamingo ink to color in. 
I cut them with the Love You More Than dies
and I also cut the coffee die in Flirty card stock. 
A few rhinestones for the sketch and some bling to finish it off.

GDP250 Happy Birthday Purple Peony




I designed a purple birthday card for my friend and 
downline Joann's birthday this week and the 
global-design-project.com sketch challenge. 
I used a Gorgeous Grape base and layered two prints from 
the retired Gorgeous Grape designer print paper.
I then cut a Purple Posy swirl from the Painted labels dies.
I cut the four pieces of Grape card stock for the flower plus
the black piece for in the middle.  
I also stamped the sentiment stamp from
 Clubhouse stamp set in Grape on the Purple Posy
Ornate Frames die. I finished off with the 
Purple Posy gems-retired.

Fabfri194 Wonderful Floral



I used the Bloom & Grow bundle for the color challenge
 over at fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com 
I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black on thick white card stock.
I colored them with the Stampin Blends in Pumpkin Pie,
Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay.
I cut them with the matching dies and popped them up
on the Stitched Nested Label in white stamped with the 
sentiment in Bermuda Bay.
I added some Poppy Parade glitter gems for bling.
I used a retired Bermuda Bay designer paper for the background
and layered on the white base.
Simple card but love the bright shades!

PP500 Birthday Fishes






I made a gate fold birthday card for the celebration theme
over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com 500th challenge this week. 
I used the Whale Of A Time suite for this cute card!
I started with the Pretty Peacock card stock cut at 5 1/2" by 8 1/2"
then scored at 2 1/8" on each side to fold in. 
I added the front panels of designer paper in the wave print.
I added the ocean bottom scene on the inside. 
I cut a Peacock Stitched Nested Label and popped it up
on the left panel. I then cut a Painted Labels swirled die in white
and stamped the sentiment from Whale Done in Pretty Peacock ink.
I stamped the whale in Blackberry Bliss on white and 
punched it out with the whale builder punch.
For a little bling, I added some Blackberry Bliss gems-retired.

CTS381 Happy Birthday Peony



I did a little casing from Michelle's lovely card 
for the sketch challenge over at casethissketch.blogspot.com 
I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder with the white card stock.
I layered it on the Basic Black base.
I then made a panel of white and black.
I added a few black stripes for the sketch. 
I stamped the flowers from the Prized Peony in Memento Tuxedo Black
on thick white card stock along with the leaves.
I colored the flowers in Magenta Madness Stampin Blends 
along with dark Daffodil Delight and cut with matching dies. 
The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black on a white strip
from the Very Vintage set-retired.

FMS444 Hello Pineapple



Love the Cute Fruit set in the brochure. 
I wanted to used the pineapple for the 4" square card for the 
sketch over freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com this week.
I stamped the pineapple in Bumblebee and Old Olive
on the 3" square white card stock. 
I layered it on the Bumblebee designer paper and 
a Bumblebee 4" square base. 
I added a bit of braided linen trim to bottom.
I stamped the sentiment from set Forever Fern in VersaMark 
on an Old Olive label from Ornate Frames dies
and heat embossed in white.

GDP249 You Are Special



I love the way these blue flowers pop against this Petal Pink
textured background!
For the color challenge over at global-design-project.com 
I grabbed the In Good Taste DSP and layered it on the white base.
I added a strip of Misty Moonlight designer paper across.
I stamped the flowers from Tasteful Touches on white in 
Memento Tuxedo Black ink and hand snipped them out. 
I colored them with the Pool Party Stampin Blends along with the 
Petal Pink in the center.
I cut two twigs from Nature's Thoughts dies in Petal Pink card stock.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Moonlight ink on white cut
 from the Tasteful Labels dies. 
I finished it off with some Misty Moonlight dots.

PP499 Relaxing Day

I like this color combo and decided to use it to color the 
relaxing seaside scene for the color challenge over at 
thepaperplayers.blogspot.com 
I stamped the scene and sentiment from Seaside View set
on thick white card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black
and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes die. 
I colored with the Stampin Blends Smoky Slate on the ground,
So Saffron on the chair and drink and Seaside Spray on the table and straw.
I popped the circle on the Seaside Spray card stock embossed with the Seabed 
embossing folder.
I layered it on the So Saffron base to finish it up.

FF0063 Ornate Style In Pinks



I decided to make another card with the picks from 
festivefridaychallenge.com and use pinks, greens,
die cut and flowers. 
I stamped the flowers from Ornate Style stamp set
on white in memento Tuxedo Black ink and 
colored them with shades of pink and green in Stampin Blends markers.
I used Rococo Rose on the two big bottom flowers,
Flirty Flamingo for the small flowers and Rich Razzleberry for the daisies.
I colored the leaves in Just Jade.
I hand snipped and popped it up on the white stitched nested label die 
in white. I added the sentiment from Free As A Bird in Rococo Rose ink
to the label. 
I used the retired Rocco Rose printed designer paper for a background
and layered on a white base.
I finished it off with some retired Rococo Rose gems.

Whale What A Big Deal


Another card I made with the Whale Of a Time suite in Pool Party.
I stamped the whale from Whale Done in Blackberry Bliss and 
punch with the matching Whale builder punch.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Calypso Coral on a white 
label from the Tasteful Labels dies. 
I ran the piece of Pool Party through with the Seabed embossing folder
and punched a 2 1/2" circle in it.
I added some Whale of A Time DSP behind before
 layering it on the Pool Party base.
A few colored rhinestones finished it off.

FMS443 and FF0063 Hello Sunshine



Fun sketch for the freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com this week.
I also used elements for the challenge over at 
festivefridaychallenge.com with flower, polka dots and die cuts!
I stamped the sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers set
on white with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the 
Stampin Blends in mango Melody, Daffodil Delight and Misty Moonlight.
I then cut it with the matching die called Sunflowers dies.
I pooped it on the layer of white and the triangles of Misty
Moonlight DSP. I added all to the Misty Moonlight base.
I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight ink
on white from the Under My Umbrella set
and cut with the Ornate Frames dies. 
I added the linen thread bow to finish it off.

Birthday Cocktails





Yes, My daughter Amanda is 25 today!
Can't believe it but so proud of her!
I made this card for her in some of her fav colors.
I added the embossed layer of Coastal Cabana to the 
Coastal base. I then cut dies from the Stitched Nested Labels dies
in black and white card stock. I stamped the sentiments on white card stock
from the Nothing's Better Than set in Memento Tuxedo Black. 
I hand snipped the top one and the bottom one was cut with the 
scallop edged die from Tasteful Labels dies. 
I stamped all three glass on white card stock and cut them out with matching die.
I stamped the colors with the two step stamps in the set.
First drink I colored the inside stamp with Mango Melody and Poppy Parade.
The lemon wedge in Daffodil delight and the umbrella in Cabana.
The second drink inside with Flirty Flamingo ink and the lime wedge 
\with Granny Apple Green and the umbrella with Daffodil.
The last drink has inside with Cabana and Daffodil ink and the 
orange wedge is in Calypso Coral plus the umbrella is in
Flirty Flamingo. I then cut the Cocktail die out in white card stock
and colored it with Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Coastal Cabana
markers. 
Inside, I used a retired set called Number of Years.

GDP248 Peony Thoughts



I decided to carry on the pink and floral theme from Manuela's 
lovely card over at global-design-project.com
I also did some casing from page 83 with the Peony Garden suite.
I started with the Pink Petal base and then layered a lovely print from 
Peony Garden DSP. 
I cut a label die from Tasteful Labels with a gray print from 
the same DSP selection and added a square vellum doily under. 
(you cannot see it well here in photo)
I stamped the large flower in Basic Gray from the Prized Peony set 
and popped it up.
I also popped up the sentiment stamped on Petal Pink card stock
with Basic Gray in and cut with an Ornate Frame die.
A few pearls finished it off.

FabFri193 So Sorry




Nice sketch from Fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com 
but I just had to turn this sketch to portrait and use my 
lovely Peony Garden suite.
I stated with one print for the Peony Garden DSP with 
white and Gray Granite flowers then layered on the white base.
I added the piece of Gray Granite cut from the scalloped piece 
in the Peony dies. I also cut another print of the same paper
with the Stitched Rectangle die. I then stamped the sentiment
from Prized Peony in Gray ink on the white Tasteful Labels banner die.
I stamped the flower and leaves in the same Gray Granite ink on 
thick white and colored with Stampin Blends markers.
I cut them with the matching dies. 
I added some pearls to finish it.

My Peony Thoughts

Stampin Up! Color Inspiration - Magenta Madness, Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss


I got this awesome color combo from my friend Brian King over at
stampwithbrian.com  You can see his post here on the new in colors combos.
I did some casing from page 84 in the new annual catalog.
I love the background and will have to make something like this again.
I ran a piece of white glimmer paper through the Tasteful Textile
emboss folder and then sprayed it with some water.
I washed it over with Blackberry Bliss ink with the aqua painter.
After dry, I stamped the small background stamp around the
edges in Blackberry Bliss.
I stamped the flowers and leaves on thick white card stock from
the Prized Peony set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink
and colored with the Magenta Madness, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight
 Stampin Blends markers.
I cut them with matching dies.
I then stamped the sentiment in Bliss ink on shimmer white
and cut it with the detailed round die from Tasteful Labels dies.
I added it all on the Blackberry Bliss card base.

PP498 Big Deal Birthday






I got a cute flap fun fold card from Julie Davison over at 
juliedavison.blogspot.com  for the fun fold 
challenge over at thepaperplayers.blospot.com 
Great theme by Ann this week with fancy/fun folds!
I used the Whale Of A Time suite for the theme which
turned out sooooo cute!
I started with a piece of Pretty Peacock card stock cut 
5 1/2" by 6 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". 
I added a strip of Whale of A Time DSP to the front of that flap.
I cut a piece of white card stock 4" by 5 1/4" and stamped the 
sentiment from the Whale Done set in Pretty Peacock ink on the top corner. 
I added some fish in stamped off Just Jade ink. 
I then cut a Calypso Coral Stitched Nested Label and scored it at the top
to fold under and attach to the underside of the white then attached the 
white card stock piece.
On the new tab in Coral, I stated adding the punched out pieces
to make my whale.
 I punched out Pretty Peacock, Just Jade and Basic Black for an eye. 
I stamped a bit on the top of my whale in Peacock ink for texture.
I stamped the sentiment from Timeless Tulips in Peacock ink 
on a white banner cut with the Tasteful Labels dies.

FMS442 and FF0062 A Bunch Of Sunflowers






Sweet sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com 
this week and I decided to heat emboss the sunflowers!
It also worked out great for another entry in 
festivefridaychallenge.com with CAS design,
Monochrome palette and floral theme plus stitching.
I stamped the sunflowers three times from Celebrate Sunflowers
on Night of Navy card stock in VersaMark ink and used white emboss powder.
I cut them out with the matching die.
I arranged them on the piece of In Good Taste DSP cut with the 
Stitched Rectangle die and layered on the Navy base.
I stamped the sentiment on s trip of white card stock
in Night of Navy ink. 
I wanted to add gems or some bling but kept it simple.
