GDP109 To Think Of You

I decided to channel my inner Brian King , my friend
from over at stampwithbrian
He took this DSP from Merry Little Christmas DSP
and colored it with the new Stampin' Blends coming to all soon.
He used Pool Party but I went with the Old Olive using both the
dark and the light colors.
I then stamped the sentiment from Eastern Beauty
in Memento Tuxedo black on a white circle,
layered a Basic Black scallop circle then layered on a gold circle
to finish up on a Pretty label cut with Old Olive.
I ran some 1/8" gold ribbon across then added
gold foil leaves from the leaf punch.
The finish it up with some Year of Cheer embellishments in gold.
Sweet card!
Hope you can play along this week with the color challege

I needed a birthday card for friend of mine this week

fit into my FabFri sketch challenge this week!
I went with a Tranquil Tide, Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake
color combo (with a small So Saffron sun).
The Birthday sentiment is from Guy Greetings and I cut it to be a banner then
added some Tranquil Tide card stock behind and some linen thread
for texture!

Celebrate the Season Bags for Class

I bought the red bags at the dollar store.
I knew this sentiment and DSP would go so well together.
I really wanted to fit the foil snowflakes in but was not sure if they
would show up well.
I decided to add a red circle behind, stamp the sentiment from
Tags & Trimmings stamp set and cut it out with
the Stitched Shapes framelits dies and then add a banner of Garden Garden
to make it pop.
These will be happy bags for my guest to carry their October
Christmas cards.

TTTC019 Autumn Greetings

Was not sure I was going to fit this challenge in this week
before the deadline but I am glad I did!
I decided to go Green, Gold, Autumn with the diagonal row.
This card has a few greens with Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist.
I started with the Painted Autumn DSP because it has those
few shades of green in it. I then cut the lantern with gold foil.
I filled it with gourds and pine cones. I stamped the leaves in Old Olive
and filled them in LLT.  I stamped the gourds in Tangerine Tango and
filled them in with Pumpkin Pie. I stamped the pine comes in Chocolate Chip
as well as the bow which was filled in with Tangerine.
All were cut with the matching Lantern Builder framelits dies.
I stamped the Autumn sentiment in Chocolate on Very Vanilla
and added some Tangerine card stock behind.
I decided for a different look I would run the Vanilla piece down the center
in hopes the lantern would look like it was hanging!

A few gold metallic shapes finished it off!

I got it all in plus lot of ornaments!

I stamped the ornaments, dog, and cookies in Memento Tuxedo Black
and colored them with markers-Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake,

I stamped the table on Chocolate Chip with the black ink.
I used a sentiment from the set in Real Red but a sweet Merry Christmas

I layered that on white piece and a Real Red base.
I then stamped the two instruments in Memento Tuxedo Black
and cut them with the matching dies.  I layered them on the
stitched circle and then stamped the drummer in Real Red and die cut him.

Sugarplum Dreams

I love nutcrackers!  My son has a very large nutcracker
collection that takes up a large buffet top during the holiday season.
So I was excited to get this set and water color the nutcracker!
I stamped him on water color paper in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I used Real Red, Smoky Slate, Basic Black, Garden Green and Crushed Curry.
I layered on Basic black then added the wonderful plaid from
Around The World DSP also layered on black.
I used a piece of Crumb Cake ran through my new emboss folder called
Quilt Top textured emboss folder.
I really like the texture and the pop on a Basic Black base.
Love the sentiment an the font which ran all the way across the card
on Very Vanilla with some Real Red card stock.

Copper Star Light

Second card for my Christmas card class.
There are so many awesome designs for this set and matching dies.
I started with the beautiful card I saw on Pinterest from
Stephanie Pike in Australia. I did a lot of casing of her card.
I especially love the Bermuda Bay with the copper foil!
I used a copper foil banner behind the square
which gives lots of room for stamping!
I cut a white star and then a copper detailed star. More stamping
in the Bermuda Bay on the back ground piece which is layered
on a Bermuda Bay base.
I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Merry Mistletoe

First card for October Christmas card class.
I love the reindeer in this set so I had to stamp three!
I added a rhinestone colored red to one nose!
The reindeer are stamped in Crumb Cake on Whisper White.
I added some of the Be Merry DSP to the bottom using the
reindeer pattern. I added the Cherry Cobbler stitched ribbon around the
middle then layered it all on a Garden Green base.
I really wanted to use this the size and font!
I stamped the sentiment on Cherry Cobbler and the accent at
the bottom in Garden Garden.
Just a fun card!

Hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Daisy Birthday Box

I made another mini pizza box for my step mom's birthday day.
I am placing a gift card and a mini card inside.
These come in a pack of 8 for 6.00. Great deal but they are white all over.
I spritzed the box with my spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and
Night of Navy ink. It came out light so it looks purple like I like it!
I layered the Delightful Daisy DSP on top in two prints.
I stamped the daisy in Peekaboo Peach then took my aqua painter
and washed some of the same color over it.
I stamped two of them and layered together and finished it off with
a gold faceted gem in the center.
I cut the leaves from the Bouquet Bunch framelits dies
in two greens- Wild Washi and Garden Green.

Hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

A Season Of Cheer

No automatic alt text available.

I am playing with a sketch for my stamping group,
The Pretty Pals.
I wanted to use the foil snowflake so that is what
I jumped the colors and sketch.
I added some Year Of Cheer specialty DSP across the top of the
thick Whisper White card base.
I added a black square so you can see the gold snowflake really well.
I used my Year Of Cheer washi tape for the banners at bottom.
I just received the Snowflake Sentiments set and I used this sentiment in Black
over a snowflake from the set in Soft Sky.
I punched it out with my 1 3/4" circle punch.
It needed something else....oh black rhinestones would be perfect!

Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Deck The Halls In Bright Colors

I decided to not only go fancy on this card but use some
non traditional colors.  Thought the bright green/yellow shade is
being used more and more in Christmas decor!
I used Lemon Lime Twist(LLT)and Berry Burst- a color combo I really
love together. I used markers the do the sentiment
in the two colors.
It does not look very sharp but more water color and I like that.
I layered those squares together on a piece of Whisper White that I cut
with the Card Front Builder thinlits.
I layered some LLT behind to show through. I was crazy
and stamped the flowers and hand snipped them all out.
I finished it off with a Bitty Bow in LLT.
I already thought of who I will send this to for Christmas.

Hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

Deck The Halls in Elegant Eggplant

I have been wanting to play with this set
and stamp the deck the halls sentiment and the ornaments.
But I stood staring at what colors to use for sooo long!
I then thought why not grab my fav color-purple!
I did and Old Olive always works with it so there is my color combo!
I stamped the sentiment and then layered the square on a
 Elegant Eggplant scalloped square.
I used makers to ink up the ornaments and string.
The sting in Elegant Eggplant altering the ornament with each color.
I die cut a few and popped them up. I stamped the holly
piece and die it out for the finishing touch.
Nice , simple and clean!

Special 3D For You

This is my 3D swap for WCMD 2017. I used the new
mini pizza box from the holiday catalog.
It comes white all over and I colored the outside purple-my fav color.
I first spritzed the box with my spritzer filled with
rubbing alcohol and drops of Elegant Eggplant.
But it came out really light so I then I grabbed my
sponge brayer and rolled on the same ink. Worked really well.
I then layered a piece of the Year of Cheer specialty DSP and
then 1/8" ribbon in both gold and silver.
I layered two of the metallic foil snowflakes on top.
It comes with 12 in gold and 12 in silver with the backs side in white which can be colored.
I added a gold faceted gem to the center.I wanted to add a tag tag but did not want to
take away from the lovely foil snowflakes.
Inside is a Starbucks gift card to enjoy!

Hope you have a blessed Sunday!

World Card Making Day 2017 and Hello Baby Showers

Happy World Card Making Day 2017
I am in Atlanta at an event I have attended the last several years
with my fellow demos and Pretty Pals.
I will share more later but go make
a card for someone special today!

Here is my second card for my friend and customer
who asked me to make baby shower cards for her daughter.
This is the same Moon baby set but with different images and
sentiments. I started with Pool Party for the base and top layer
which I cut with the clouds from Up & Away thinlits dies.
I added one of those cut clouds on the project as well as a
few I cut with silver glimmer paper.
I water colored the umbrella in Smoky Slate and the baby
with Pool Party and Blushing Bride.
Love the sentiments in this set and used two on the front this time.
I hope you have a wonderful World Card Making Day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Twinkle Twinkle

I was asked by a friend and customer to make a couple of baby cards
for her daughter's first and second baby showers this month.
I do not own baby sets really and go about 3-4 years in between making them.
I did keep the Zoo Babies set after it retired to use if I needed one.
However, another customer offered for me to borrow her Moon Baby set which
is really cute to make the cards.
Here is the first one I cased some from Michelle Miles  I started
with a Whisper White base and layered the Crumb Cake embossed with the
Stars emboss folder. I stamped the baby/moon image in
Memento Tuxedo Black and watercolored it
the aqua painter using Daffodil Delight,
Marina Mist, and Blushing Bride inks.
I stamped the sentiment on the stitched circle and the
rest of the sentiment inside the card here:

I finished it with some Daffodil Delight stars punched
out with a retired punch. I added a silver glimmer paper star for the bling!

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

GDP107 Thankful Grateful Blessed

I wanted something simple and I keep grabbing the copper foil.
I have been trying to remember to the use my
Year of Cheer specialty washi tape.  I grabbed it
to sketch across the card. I cut some copper leaves from the
Paisley framelits dies. I heat embossed in copper
the sentiment from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set.
I cut it with the Layering Ovals.
I then thought of the Wood Textures DSP but had hard time choosing
which wood. I finally settled on this print
and layered it on a Crumb Cake base.

Head over to to play along
with the theme challenge this week.

PP364 Autumn Floral

I started this card with the flower.
I stamped the sunflower from Painted Harvest set
in Cherry Cobbler and the center in Soft Suede.
I added some dots to the center in Chocolate Chip.
I hand snipped it along with a few leaves stamped
in Old Olive. I stamped the other leaves in same color
and punched them with the matching leaf punch.
For the background, I used the embossing paste
and colored it with Cajun Craze ink. I used the
brick wall stencil on Very Vanilla card stock.
All was layered on a Cajun Craze base.
I can use it for any occasion this fall.

because it looks like snow. I layered the DSP on a piece
of thick Whisper white for the base.
I then layered a piece of Whisper White cut with the oval
for a window and added the silver foil dies.
I stamped the sentiment (which was why I bought this set) in Versamark

FabFri122 Gather Together With Vintage Leaves

I stamped these leaves in each of the challenge colors
then I was not sure what I was going to do with them
after I cut them out with matching dies.
I then thought of the Wood Textures DSP and place it behind the leaves.
I still wanted some texture so I used my Burlap background stamp.
I stamped it in Tranquil Tide on the Tranquil Tide base.
I used the sentiment from Painted Harvest and stamped it also in Tide.
I hope you can play along with the color challenge over at

For this challenge, I picked the middle row down
with Open, Circle, Glitter Paper.
I used two shades of blue for a color challenge also.
I place the star set on the Whisper White stitched circle and layered a
Night of Navy circle behind.
The bottom star is cut in Pool Party card stock
and then a silver glitter paper star on top.
I love the sentiment from Star of Light set that I stamped in Navy.
I started to stamp somethings behind the circles but when I laid
it all together, I liked the clean look.

leftover and so I arranged them to make a center piece looking arrangement
 for the sketch challenge.

looking die is from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits dies.
I used a sweet sentiment  and pine cones from the Christmas Pines set.

Christmas Open Card Holders For Class

I used retired DSP to decorate these cute open ended boxes for guest
to carry their cards home from my Christmas card classes this week.
Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler were mixed for these.

The deer is from the Santa's Sleigh thinlits dies
with some silver cording tied in a bow.
I got these boxes from Sam Hammond aka Pootles over at

Start with a piece of 8 1/4"x 11" piece of card stock.
Score on the long side at 5 1/4" and 7"
Score on short side at 1 3/4" and 6 1/2"
cut in for the flaps and easy.
You can make larger ones too to hold large dies.
These hold the 10 cards from class and their envelopes
or they can hold regular size emboss folders.

Hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

GDP106 Rejoicing!

Lots of reflection going on with all the silver but that
is a silver foil star up there.
I started with the Night of Navy circle and Whisper White stitched circle
because they were laying on my desk from another project last week.
When I saw the sketch, I remembered these and stamped the
sweet couple in Night of Navy and popped them with the
Silver foil star on the circle.
I added silver behind and the sentiment from the same set on
Whisper White in Night of Navy ink.
I finished it off with a few silver sequin pieces.

PP363 Christmas Cheer

If you have not looked very closely at the

It has some great plaid, nutcrackers and then this fun foodie/treats print.
I decided to pair it with the Merry Cafe set hot chocolate cup.
I stamped the cup in Soft Suede on same color card stock.
I stamped the lid on white in Garden Green.
I cut all with matching dies from Coffee Cups framelits dies.
I also cut the paper sleeve from Garden Green with the dies and
then stamped in Real Red the two sentiments.

Copper Frames For You

Image may contain: text and indoor
Within my stampin' group- The Pretty Pals under
our fearless leader Mary Fish- we have a
weekly challenge on Facebook.
This week we have a photo for inspiration.
Just look at all the inspiration- I see white, copper
and even some Wisteria Wonder or Smoky Slate
(however, I see purple in everything!)
I love the shapes and the textures plus the bling in
this inspirational photo.

I decided to let the white, copper and shapes
inspire me for this card.  I even include some texture with my
Softly Falling emboss folder. I ran a piece of Whisper White through
one direction and then turned and ran again.
Yes, you can run it more than once for a full effect.
I then layered two sizes of copper foil frame I cut
using the Layering Squares framelits dies.
I had two extra copper leaves on my desk from class last week
so they were a perfect addition.
I finished the card off by heat embossing the sentiment
from Colorful Seasons in copper emboss powder.
I hope your are inspired to create this week and
thanks for stopping by.

TTTC016 Copper Leaf

Playing the top row across for Metallic , Glow, Autumn Colors.
The metallic is the copper leaf laid over the rock and roll
leaf-both cut from the Seasonal Layers thinlits dies.
For the glow, I stamped the leaf on Very Vanilla in Pumpkin
Pie and rocked it in Cajun Craze before laying the copper one on top.
I ran some clear wink of stella over it for some shine, too.
I think it is glowing a bit!
I stamped the sentiment in Fresh Fig on the stitched shapes.
I ran the background Tangerine Tango with the Brick Wall emboss folder then
layered on a piece of Crushed Curry before placing on the Fresh Fig base.
I finished it off with some copper trim and a bow I had already laying on my desk.
I hope you can play along at

FMS306 Life and Leaves

I had some left over pieces from my card classes this week so
put them to good use for the sketch challenge.
I used a Very Vanilla base and layered a piece of Tangerine Tango
embossed with the Layered Leaves 3D emboss folder.
The lovely Painted Autumn DSP strips were layered on the background-
don't you love the color mix in that paper?
I stamped on a Very Vanilla stitched square in Cajun Craze.
For the small leaf, I stamped in Pumpkin Pie and then rocked
the leaf in Cajun Craze.  Love the effect. Quick card but full of colors!

GDP105 Hello Friend

I wanted to go simple for this color challenge.
I cut a piece of Whisper White for my background. and stamped the D size
block inked in Lemon Lime Twist right onto the paper.
I then stamped on white my leaves. The big one was stamped
in Peekaboo Peach and rocked in Tangerine Tango.
I stamped the next smallest in Peach and the smallest
in Tango. I "tied" them together by placing a piece of copper trim for a bow.
I stamped the sentiment from Wood Words in Tango underneath.
This was layered onto a Tangerine Tango base making for a clean and simple card.

Hope you can play along with the color challenge this week
