Love Notes

Happy New Year's Eve!
A little Valentine's Day teaser...

I put my make and take with the love notes together
after coming home from Onstage in Nov.
Then they got buried with other projects on top until I finally
cleaned up my messy room and when I saw them I knew I had not photographed
them for my blog yet.
I did not put them together just like the photo SU! provided.
I do really like the new DSP paper stack called Sending Love.
Lots of Real Red and White happening!
The set is called Sealed With Love and has lots of cute elements in the suite like the
wooden hearts, mini paper clips and some grosgrain ribbon.
Best of all it comes with matching dies called Love Notes framelits dies
which have an adorable small envelope die. Great bundle in the Occasions
catty that starts Jan. 4th, 2017.
I hope you have a blessed New Year's Eve and thanks for stopping by!

Hope

I am trying to use up the Fancy Frost DSP I have been
hoarding for months.
I used sponge dauber with
Island Indigo, Pool Party and then Soft Sky.
Tried for a little water look for my flower.
No stamping since I used all dies on the front.
That happens sometimes!
I hope you have a fab Friday!

Just A Note

I saw a card in my Stampin' Success magazine (SU! magazine
for demos) I wanted to case.
I used the Inside the Lines DSP from the
SAB(sale-a-bration) catty which starts Jan. 4th, 2017
You can earn the DSP for free with a $50.00 order from Jan. 4th thru
March 31st, 2017.
I sponged on the three colors with the sponge rollers.
I started with Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral.
Then I spritzed it with Watermelon Wonder ink I placed in a Stampin' Spritzer
with a little rubbing alcohol.
Mounted it to a Basic Black base and added a sentiment from
Flourishing Phrases and a die from Rose Garden.
Hope you have a blessed Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

More Dragonflies!

Yes, more dragonflies are always best!
I started this card with the Fancy Frost DSP.
I sponged Blushing Bride over it and when done it looked
like Sweet Sugarplum. So I added some glimmer ribbon!
I die cut the dragonflies and placed on my background.
They looked nice but a plain. Adding pearls really did the trick!
I just did a quick sentiment but used on half. The other
half says "and everything else."
Hope you enjoy your Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Special Day Dragonfly!

I attempted to case a Peggy Noe card but it did not quite work.
My friend Peggy at prettypapercards.com designs the most beautiful cards.
I started with background paper called Fancy Frost Specialty DSP.
I sponged the Mint Macaron but it was darker than I wanted and then
I sponged the Rich Razzleberry in the corners.
I used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits to cut a Rich Razzleberry dragonfly
and then I cut the same one in vellum. I sponged the vellum in Mint Maracon
and layered on top. It looked plain so I tried to stamp the body stamp
on the middle of the vellum but it did not look right so I took the sponged and ran it down
then added a little sponging on top of the vellum and finished it with pearls.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

GDP067 Sharing In Your Sorrow

I wanted to use a tree that goes unused a lot!
I grabbed my Thoughts & Prayers set and thought I can always
use a sympathy card at ready in my stash.
I started by inking the background stamp from You've Got This
set and then stamped it off once before stamping on white.
I then stamped the tree in Night of Navy and the sentiment.
Layered the images on Night of Navy and some Floral Boutique DSP.
I added some Mint Macaron ribbon.  It turned out soft and pretty.

I hope you can along with the theme challenge over at

Happy Christmas Eve!

Another 4.5" sq card from the
Freshly Made Sketches challenge up until Jan. 2nd, 2017.
I stamped the balloons in Watermelon Wonder on
Peekaboo Peach card stock.
I used the matching dies to cut them out.
I stamped some clouds in Mint Macaron and a sentiment
from Jar Of Love in Night of Navy.
I added some of the Carried Away DSP to the background.
This awesome paper is from the 2017 SAB brochure and
you can earn this paper for free when you spend $50
starting the 4th of Jan. thru March 31st, 2017.
Again , I think I will be going through the Peekaboo Peach card stock!

Happy Ferris Wheel

Fun 4.5" sq card!I stamped the Ferris wheel
in Early Espresso and colored the cupcake tops
with a Peekaboo Peach marker.
I added some of the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP
behind but a sentiment just did not fit anywhere I liked.
I think I will stamp one on inside when I go to use it...can mostly
be a birthday card but can work for congrats, too!
Love the peach and espresso together!
I noticed several of the DSPs are using the Peekaboo Peach color.
I will have to stock up on the card stock!
The set and dies are available in the new Occasions catty
which starts Jan 4th

Hope you can play along with this great sketch over at
freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

The challenge is up til Jan. 2nd, 2017.

Thank You From a Friend

My friend and customer, Nancy, brought these to me!
So sweet! She made a small card and
decorated these yummy chocolates with the Candy Cane Lane DSP.
I always say I am going to do some of these nuggets wrapped
and then I forget.  Maybe I can do some at Valentine's this new year!
Thank you Nancy!

Hope you have a wonderfully sweet day!
Happy Christmas and thanks for stopping by!

A Day To Celebrate

I decided since I had out my water color pencils and aqua painter,
I would play with the carousel horse.
I stamped in Stazon on Very Vanilla and colored with the
Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral,
Basic Gray, and Early Espresso.
I then cut a circle out of the Cupcakes &Carousels DSP in center of the design.
Layered the stamped image behind and placed on a 5 1/2" sq card stock base.
Was not sure what I wanted to do with a sentiment.
I then looked through my new sets and loved the the font
on the set So In Love.
I stamped it right on the  DSP.
Really a quick card.
I will enjoy playing more with these sets!
I hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Thanks For Being You

Quick card to post today!
I waned to play with my watercolor pencils and
aqua painter so pulled out the new SAB
stamp set called Avant Garden.
I has a few floral images, three sentiments and
a background of dots.
You can earn it for free with a 50.00 order or more
starting Jan 4th during Sale-a-bration running til March 31st.
I thought it would be great and easy to water color these flowers
which I think are probably yellow but I love that I can
imagine any color!
I used the Rich Razzleberry pencil along with the Old Olive.
I stamped one of the sentiments to fit on the side and
finally used my new Petal Burst emboss folder.
I do not know why I waited so long to buy this great emboss folder!
I little Sweet Sugarplum glitter ribbon finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed Tuesday!

Watercolor Flower For You

I stamped the flower in Stazon and then played with
my new Watercolor pencils.  They will available in the
2017 Occasions catalog which starts Jan 4th.
You get 13 colors for 16.00.
I pulled the Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive pencils here.
I colored a little on the flower and then went over with a aqua painter.
I then went back and added a little pencil to the grooves in the petals.
I stamped and colored on Whisper White card stock.
I placed a retired doily behind along with a new stamp lace
from a SAB set called Delicate Details.
You can earn this set of five borders for free with a
$50.00 purchase during Sale-a-bration (SAB) which
also starts Jan. 4th thru March 1st.

Graduation Day!

So proud of my daughter Amanda!  She graduates today from
Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee Fl.
She loves turquoise so I pulled from the Festive Birthday DSP.
I also grabbed the Fiesta Time framelits for the streamers.
The sentiment is from B.Y.O.P. and i used some Lots of Labels to layer it.
You may notice a little new Emerald Envy 1/8" ribbon across there...coming
soon in the new Occasion catalog in Jan. 2017

A Few More Christmas Tags!

Just a few more tags I can not remember if I have shown off.
The Purple one is so pretty with the Silver glimmer star and Perfect Plum!
It uses the Star of Light set with Tin of Tags for to and from.
Also the Starlight thinlits dies.
I used the Warmth & Cheer DSP on the second tag along with
Cookie Cutter Christmas set for the reindeer and the Tin of Tags
for the sentiment...which is a fav of mine!
I stamped the reindeer on Soft Suede in Early Espresso ink.
I added a little burlap ribbon behind the oval sentiment stamped in Garden Green.

GDP066 Frosted New Year's Card

I decided to make a New Year's card when I saw this challenge.
The layout remind me of the Frosted Medallion in this set.
I stamped the medallion in VersaMark
and heat embossed with clear emboss powder
on a piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
I stamped the sentiment in the same
and heat embossed with gold emboss powder.
I then took a sponge dauber and rubbed Sweet Sugarplum
ink allover the medallion.
I finished it off with some bling-sequins and shiny gold thread!
I attached the card stock to a base of Very Vanilla.

Hope you can play along with this great sketch challenge

My light box is put away for a few days
so taking a photo here on my leather sofa.
I cut a circle with white card stock and the layered
a couple of metallic doilies that I seem to hoard so have lots.

A little gold and silver 1/8" ribbon and it was done.
It even went onto a silver gift bag right after this photo!

I wanted to make him a card with new product so I pulled

You can cut the strips for perfect matching behind the balloon

Best Wishes Wedding Card

This is another card I designed for the InkBig Design Team in October.
I started with a 4 1/4' square card base in Smoky Slate
and covered it with the silver side of the Fabulous Foil Acetate.
I stamped the sentiment and used the Layering Oval to cut
it out along with a scallop back in Smoky Slate.
I stamped the bells in  Smoky and the Mr and Mrs in Basic Gray.
They punched out and a bow added finished off a sweet little wedding card!

Top Fold Bags For Tag Class

I made some bags for my guest for my Christmas tag class.
I got the idea from Kay Kalthoff at stampingtoshare.com
She demoed how to make the bags with the Gift Bag Punch Board.
The demo included the turn down top. I designed my bag
with some new and some retired Christmas DSP in medium size.
Last photo shows some of my sample tags for class.

GDP065 Thanks To You

Great color challenge for this time of the year!
I have finished my Christmas cards and mailed them out.
But I thought I could do a thank you card (which I will need
in a few weeks for after Christmas gifts)!
I used some of my load of Candy Cane Christmas DSP!
Yes, I still have lots of it but hopefully my tag
classes this week will use some up!
The sentiment is from Designer Tin of Cards.
I had a strap of the ribbon so added it behind.

PP324 Flurry Tag

When I saw the snowflakes challenge I wanted to play along!
However, I am so done with Christmas cards and all mine are now mailed out!
So since I have tag classes this week, I decided to make a snowflake tag so I
can have another sample for classes.
I stamped the Flurry of Wishes snowflakes in Pool Party and the snowflake
background in same color with a stamp from the
 Christmas Pines stamp set.
I cut the Merry Christmas in a banner and stamped in Night of Navy.
Added a small oval in Pool Party behind.
I used retired Pool Party glimmer ribbon.

Love some silver bells.  The song makes me cry.
My grandfather and I sang it together as he played it on the piano.

I punched three bells from silver glimmer paper.
Embossed some Elegant Eggplant with the holly folder.
Add a few pine branches and it just sparkles!

Same with the blue in Pool Party card stock.

FMS265 Promise of Christmas

Trying not to make anymore Christmas cards since I do not need
more for this season.
However, I did have a friend contact me to buy some Christmas cards
this week.  So this will be in the stash when she comes.
I stamped the background rays from Kinda Eclectic in
Delightful Dijon.
I then stamped the nativity from Joyful Nativity in Night of Navy
and die cut it out. I stamped the sentiment also in Navy
and popped it up double across.
I hope you can play along over at
