Positive Thoughts

I was trying to be a little creative with the sketch but not sure
i like the off center of the Soft Sea Foam card stock.
However , I do like the bundle called Positive Thoughts.
I have used it here for my third card for classes in March.
I started with the Basic Gray base and added the Sea Foam
card stock. I then cut the white with the Nature's Thoughts dies
(it does not show up good in the photo but the edge has a decor
around it).
I then stamped a little Soft Sea Foam ink on the white panel with
the splatter from Gather Together set.
I stamped the stem from Positive Thoughts in Soft Sea Foam and cut
with matching die. I also stamped the butterfly on white in
Calypso Coral and sponged a little coral on before cut it out.
I added the layers of Coral strip with the detailed die in Basic Gray.
On top, I added the strip of white stamped with the sentiment in Gray.
A rhinestone finished off.
I really like the color combo of Basic Gray, Calypso Coral
 and Soft Sea Foam.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

I designed this card also for my friend to make swaps
 for an event last month.
I am using this for the second card class next week.
I started with a Soft Suede base.
I ran the Daffodil Delight piece through the Coastal Weave
embossing folder. I then cut the stitched rectangle in white.
I stamped the splatter from the Artisan Textures set in Daffodil ink
and the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical set in Suede.
I stamped the tress on white in Old Olive and Soft Suede(I pushed the branches
in Olive Olive ink and used a Soft Suede marker to add color to trunks).
I them with the matching dies.
I stamped the flowers in Suede on both Mango Melody
and Grapefruit Grove card stock and cut them also with matching dies.
I added some leaves cut from Old Olive card stock.
I finish it off with a gold pearl in center of one flower.

Purple Easter Tulips

I designed this card for a friend to do some swaps
for an event and loved it for my March class and Easter card.
I started with a Gorgeous Grape base.
I added the Purple Posy ran through the Subtles embossing folder
for the background.
I cut the rectangle frame from Heirloom Frames dies and ran it through
the Stome embossing folder for my texture.
I cut the 2 1/4" by 3 1/4" piece of white to add behind.
I stamped it in Granny Apple Green with the stems from
the Timeless Tulip set but adding behind frame.
I stamped the Tulips on white in Highland Heather ink and punched them
with the matching Tulip Builder punch.
Same for the leaves but used the Granny Apple Green ink.
I popped up the tulips and leaves outside the frame.
I added the polka dot ribbon bow in white for more of a spring feel.
I stamped the sentiment on white in Gorgeous Grape ink
and cut it with the Ornate Frames die.
I love all the textures of the card and of course,
all the purple!

Thanks for stopping by and happy day!

PP479 Noble Peacock With Foils

I decided to use some of my foil and paper from the
Noble Peacock collection that I seem to be hoarding
for the sketch challenge this week over at
Thepaperplayers.blogspot.com
I started with the Very Vanilla base and added a
strip of Pretty Peacock foil to the top and a strip of
Old Olive foil to bottom. These are cut 1 3/4" by 4".
I used a piece of Noble Peacock specialty paper in
Blueberry Bushel in the middle.
I then cut the scallop rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly dies
in Very Vanilla card stock.
I stamped on vanilla my peacock from Royal Peacock stamp set
in Blueberry Bushel ink.
I stamped the overlay in Old Olive ink.
I colored it with Old Olive and Pretty Peacock Stampin Blends.
I cut it out with the matching dies called Detailed Peacock dies.
I popped it on the scallop rectangle.
Then I stamped the sentiment from the Honey Bee set
in Pretty Peacock ink on vanilla and cut it with a label
from Stitched So sweetly dies.

CTS360 AND FF0053 Timeless Friendship

CTS360

Such a fun sketch over at casethissketch.blogspot.com
and it made me think of the flowers from page 38
in the new mini SU! catalog using the Timeless Tropical bundle.
I choose to use blue flowers, green leaves and brown (kraft) paper
along with a friendship sentiment per the challenge over at
festivefridaychallenge.com this week.

I started with the kraft card stock cut 4" by 5 1/4" and ran thought the
Coastal Weave embossing folder.
I cut many Pretty Peacock and Pool Party flowers with the
In The Tropics dies plus the leaves in Old Olive.
I added them to the back ground and then layered all on Peacock base.
I stamped in Peacock ink the sentiment from Timeless Tropical
in a strip of white card stock to finish it off.
I was tempted to add bling but liked the natural look.
Will have to use my kraft card stock again with the suite!

Have a lovely Tuesday and
thanks for stopping by!

I also used the dies to cut small leaves stems in both of those colors.
I added a strip of Old Olive card stock, Peacock ribbon, and
a die cut in Pretty Peacock foil.
Behind all is an oval in vanilla.
I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink on vanilla from

PP478 & FabFri183 Thanks Butterfly Beauty

I decided my woodland creatures were going to be butterflies.
Other than birds, I think these are the only other creature I have
for the theme challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com
I had these black butterfly dies cut from last week when I made
some cards. I kept this same sketch from
fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com and thought it worked well.
I added the butterflies to the white stitched circle after stamping the
Seaside Spray background circles from Beauty Abounds set
as well as the Memento Tuxedo Black sentiment.
I popped the circle up over the banner cut from
lakeside dies in Seaside Spray ( I cut it with the die
and then cut it in half to place behind)
I placed a black strip behind.
I layered the Seaside Spray gingham paper
plus the piece of Basic Black and white base.
I finished it off with the faceted dots in Seaside Spray.

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

I thought this suite was perfect for this sketch over at

I stamped the lighthouse in Seaside Spray and sponged a little
Sahara Sand ink over the give it a bit of a vintage look.
I cut it out with the matching die called Smooth Sailing.
I added it to the strip of striped Come Sail Away DSP which I added the
white rope die cut in half to the bottom.

Night of Navy and a white base.

I had a friend ask if I could make her 4 of these for family

See the original card here.
I used the Stylish Scroll embossing folder in
Flirty Flamingo and layered on Basic Black card stock
plus a white base.
I added the white doily then a stitched circle in Flirty.
I cut the Basic Black butterfly and vellum small butterfly
with the Butterfly Beauty dies.

GDP227 Power Of New Beginnings

With the theme this week over at global-design-project.com
I could use the little bonsai tree in the Powder of Hope set.

I cut them with the Stitched Shapes (circles) dies
and layered them on the Call Me Clover strip of card stock.
I stamped the sentiment from the set on white with Early Espresso
ink and cut with the Ornate Frames die. I snipped the fancy ends off the die.
For the background, I inked up the front of the Stone embossing
folder with Soft Suede ink and ran it though to emboss and ink.

CTS358 Hope Is The Power

CTS358

I think this is an easy sketch but I sat forever trying to decide what to do
since I knew I wanted to use my new set called Power Of Hope
along with the new embossing folder called Stone.
I think I got hung up on colors for a while but glad I decided for the
black background and pops of Real Red.
I started with the white base and added the piece of Basic Black card stock
after I inked up the folder top with white craft ink and pressed it into
the card stock to give the stone look.
I then cut the Real Red strip and ran it through the Subtles embossing folder.
I cut the white scallop rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly dies.
I stamped the temple stamp from Power Of Hope in Memento Tuxedo Black
ink and colored with the Real Red and Ivory Stampin Blends markers.
I stamped the sentiment beside it in Real Red
and added some red rhinestones to finish it off.

Love the way it turned out.

Paper Pumpkin Valentine Treat Holders

January's Paper pumpkin kit called I'll Be Yours provided 20 of these cute
treat holders/mini bags/mini envelopes. I decorated 15 of them
to take to my Bible study group this week(actually today).
All these elements came in the kit including glue dots.
I just bought the chocolate squares that easily slide in the holder.
I added a glue dot under the flap to keep the flap closed as the twine
is just for decoration. The kit  also came with the Stampin Spot
of Mint Macaron I used to stamp the for you sentiment.

Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

CTS357 Simply The Poppies

First, my DSP is not lined up perfectly.
The sentiment at the bottom got a little smeared with the last word
and there is a cover up happening.
I was determined to not re make this card for the sketch challenge
over at casethissketch.blogspot.com
I used the Peaceful Poppies DSP in two prints cut at 1 1/2" by 4 1/4" strips
and added them to the white base.
I then cut the white circle and the Rich Razzleberry scallop circle
with the Layering Circle dies and stamped my poppies
from Painted Poppies set in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I colored just the flowers in the light Poppy Parade Stampin
Blends marker then added a little shading with my
light Blackberry Bliss blend.
I placed my sentiment at bottom in Memento from
the Varied Vases set. I had a little adhesive that must have smeared
down where I stamped the word best and it messed it up.
I then stamped the sentiment again on white cards tock in
Razzleberry ink and punched it out with a 1/2" circle punch.
I popped it over the mess up and it is now adorable!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and
thanks for stopping by!

I started with a Real Red base and then a white card stock layer
before the arrow print of From The Heart DSP.
I cut a Real Red Stitched Nested Label die to add my
heart I stamped from Heartfelt set in Flirty Flamingo
and punched with matching punch.
I stamped the sentiment in Red.
I stamped the arrow in Memento Tuxedo Black and hand snipped it.
I finished off with a few red rhinestones.
This card is for my son so I was keeping it simple and kind of masculine.

Hope your day is full of love!
