PP448 You're Off To Great Places!

Color Combination daffodil delight, poppy parade, seaside spray

Tic-Tac-Toe is my fav challenge!
Thanks Joanne! Head over to thepaperplayers.blogspot.com
Yes, went with punched shape, yellow, pearls across the middle.
My upline, Mary Fish, posted this color combo inspiration and I thought
it was perfect for this card! I also could not believe the theme
challenge was balloons over at global-design-project.com this week, too!
I started with the Seaside Spray gingham print from the 2019-2021 in color DSP
stack and layered it on a white base.
I cut a stitched label die in white and popped it up on the background.
I stamped the hot air balloons from the Above the Clouds set and
punch them out with the Hot Air Balloon punch.
I stamped the left one in Poppy Parade on white card stock
and used the second stamp to fill in by stamping off once to make lighter.
I did the same for the second balloon but in Daffodil Delight ink.
I stamped the clouds in Seaside Spray on the white label.
I stamped the sentiment in Poppy on the white banner and
finished it off with some yellow pearls.

Hope you can play along with the any of these challenges
and let the color inspire you!
Happy Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy For You Two

I made this card for a couples wedding shower last weekend.
I know the colors for the wedding are blue and I used some retired
gold designer paper for a perfect pairing. I ran the Pool Party
with the Subtles emboss folder and I added the gold paper and a layer
of white behind. I stamped the sentiment from From This Day Forward
in VersaMark and heat emboss in gold emboss powder on a white strip
and I added two gold pearls. I stamped the flowers from Petal Palette in
Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Pool Party and Old Olive
Stampin Blends markers. I cut it with the matching die.
I stamped a small flower on the enveloped and colored it with same markers.

Thanks for stopping by!

I used a piece of Bird Ballad designer paper for the background.
I layered it a piece of Pool Party card stock and then a white base.
I added a strip of Petal Pink card stock stamped with the
sentiment from the Free As A Bird set in Memento Tuxedo Black.
The bird and branch with flowers are snipped from another
designer paper print in the Bird Ballad DSP.
I then stamped two small flowers in Memento on white card stock
and colored with Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Stampin Blends markers.

I wanted to ink up my birch background stamp so
I used it with Gray Granite ink on Whisper White card stock.
I layered it on a Petal Pink base.
I stamped the sentiment from To A Wild Rose in
Early Espresso on a Petal Pink label cut from
the Wild Rose dies.
I added a few pearls and then the magnolia stickers
from the Magnolia Lane Memories and More card pack.
Quick and simple card but that birch makes a wonderful background.

Fabfri166 In Color Seahorses On A New Adventure

I just love these seahorses from Seaside Notions set!
That are not bad to hand snip.
I thought of them when I saw this in color challenge
and thought they would look great in these colors.
I decided to stamp them in black and then water color them
with the ink and the aqua painter on shimmer white card stock.
I added a rhinestone to each eye because they need some bling!
I ran my piece of Seaside Spray card stock through with the new
High Seas emboss folder. I layered it on a
Pretty Peacock base and then stamped the sentiment from
the Well Said set in Peacock ink on a with strip of card stock.

I love how it turned out and hope you can play along
with the in color challenge over at

CTS327 Happy Birthday Wild Rose

CTS327

Just something about this card I really love.
It is probably the awesome script print of the
in color designer paper that makes it.
I used the Rococo Rose in color DSP here layered on the
Sahara Sand card stock embossed with the Country Floral
emboss folder and placed on a Sand base.
I cut the detailed die from Wild Rose in Early Espresso and
added it to the side of the DSP.
I stamped the rose from To A Wild Rose in Early Espresso
and then the second stamp to color it in with the new in color
Rococo Rose. The middle was also stamped with Espresso ink.
I wanted the leaves a light color so I went with Soft Seafoam.
I stamped the sentiment from Very Vintage that just retired
in Espresso ink on a white banner.
I finished it off with some rhinestones for bling!

Hope you can play along over at casethissketch.blogspot.com

Yes, you will see this suite lots!
I used the Come Sail Away suite along with the
Come Sail Away Memories and More card pack.
I used the pack for the background print and the

I layered these on white along with some Balmy Blue
and Night Of Navy card stock. All these I placed
on a Balmy Blue base.
I stamped on the white card stock
the light house in Navy, the anchor in Crumb Cake,
and the compass in Balmy Blue. I cut them with the
matching dies called Smooth Sailing dies.
I punched the compass with the 1 1/2" circle punch.
I added a gold pearl to the compass
plus some Navy twine to the anchor.

Great sketch by Jaydee and I got to use my fav set/suite in the new catalog!

I layered those on a Night of Navy base.
I cut the Layering Oval in Navy and started adding some cool elements.
I stamped the boat in Night of Navy, the compass in Seaside Spray,
and the anchor in Soft Suede. Quick bit of marker to the boat in Balmy Blue.

Perennial Essence With Wild Rose

I decided to try the To A Wild Rose set with the gorgeous
Perennial Essence DSP.  I think it works out.
This Monet water color paper has such beautiful colors.
I pulled a few out by first place on a Balmy Blue base.
I stamped the two step rose first in Blackberry Bliss
and the second stamp to color in with Blackberry Bliss stamped off once.
I stamped the leaves in Old Olive.
They came out light due to the distinktive design.
I cut them with the matching dies called Wild Rose.
I added the sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia set.
I stamped it in Bliss on a white strip. I added the same color rhinestone gems.
But my eye goes right to the gorgeous DSP.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

GDP194 Thinking Of You Shells

While I still had my set out from the card I showed
yesterday from my second fav set called Seaside Notions
in the new SU! catalog, I decided we needed more shells.
Boy, did I see my share of them last week at Sanibel Island.
Not to mention how many I walked on while on the beach.
I stamped these in almost the same colors as yesterday's card.
I used the Terracotta Tile and Crumb Cake but added the
new in color called Seaside Spray.
I hand snipped these out and added them to the white rectangle
I stamped the sand in Crumb Cake and the sentiment in
Early Espresso. I added the Terracotta behind the images
and layered on the Seaside Spray base.
I wanted to add more to the base but keep it simple and clean.

Highland Heather Magnolia

I had just a little leftover Festive Farmehouse DSP
which makes a wonderful background for this very purple
magnolia!  Yes, I know magnolias are not purple.
I grew up in Atlanta surrounded by magnolia trees and
there are many here in my neighborhood in Orlando Fl.
They are white with very dark green leaves but I could not
help myself...had to color this beautiful
flower with my Highland Heather Stampin Blends markers.
I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black from the
Good Morning Magnolia set on thick Whisper White card stock.
I put a little Daffodil in the middle and the leaves are
shaded with Granny Apple Green.
I cut it with the matching die and popped it on the DSP
which I cut with the scallop like edge die from the same
die set called Magnolia Memory dies.
I cut a piece of white which was a little longer.
Then I placed them on the Highland Heather base
which I stamped with a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I finished it off with some Heather sequins.

Hope you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

PP444 Relax Under The Palms

I had wanted to make a card using these palms trees in a row and
Ann's summer vacay challenge was the perfect time.
I used a piece of white card stock for the background and stamped
the tree trunk in Soft Suede three times from the Beach Happy set.
I added sand with the Sahara Sand ink on the bottom.
I cut the chair out with the Wood Textures DSP from the
Seasonal Layers dies. I stamped the sentiment from Beach Happy
in Poppy Parade in white circle and popped it up under the trees.
I stamped the palms in Call Me Clover on white card stock and snipped them out.
I then popped them up on the trees. I just had to add some
gold metallic pearls so they would look like coconuts!!!
I placed my background on a piece of Soft Suede card stock
I corner rounded before laying on the Sahara Sand base.

I love this scene and next Sunday I will be on my way to Sanibel Island
where we vacay every year! Time to Relax!
