From The Depths

I love this bundle called Seas The Day! On page 38 of the spring mini catalog, SU! has three crumb cake 3 x 3 cards and I grab inspiration for my card from them. I used a Crumb Cake base and then ran another piece of Crumb Cake card stock through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder for my background. I then stamped the senntiment from the Seas The Day set in Versa amrk ink on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock and heat emboosed it with white embossing powder. I then cut it by hand for the banner and placed in the upper right corner. I then stamped Goerge the Octopus on white card stock in Flirty Flamingo ink. I did the same for the jellyfish but in Pale Papaya and rocked it a little in Flirty Flamingo ink before stamping it.  I cut them out with the matching Seas dies. I sued those dies to cut white leaves plus long Pale Papaya and Flirty Flamingo ones. I finished off with some iridescent rhinestones.
I love the color combo!
Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

It is almost April and Easter is coming on Sunday April 17th. I wanted to have a few cards ready soon to  ail out before then and I wanted to use the Fresh Freesia ginghma print from the Pansy Petals DSP pack. I layered the DSP on a white base and I then cut a pece of Basic White cards tock and ran it through the Tasteful Textile embossing folder plus added a bit of Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon around. I cut the stitched rectangle in Basic White card stock then used my blending brushes to add both Fresh Freesia and Mint Macaron ink to it. I stamped the grass from thr Easter Friends set in Mint across the middle. I stamped the sentiment from Celebrating You set in Soft Suede ink on the bottom.
I then stamped the bunny in Soft Suede ink on a piece of Basic White card stock and hand snipped him out. I added just a little light Crumb Cake ink with my Stampin Blends marker to him around the edges before popping him on the scene. I added a just Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish it off.

Welcome Little One

Hi there little one! I thought it might be good to have a baby card in my stash when I saw this sentment from Celebrating You set. I knew I wanted to stamped the duck from the Easter Friends set and use the Pale Papaya gingham designer paper in the Pansy Petals DSP pack. I used a strip of another floral print across the card after layering on the Pale Papaya base. I cut the stitched rectangle in white card stock and blending some Fresh Freesia ink on it but it is not showing up well in the photo. I then stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink from the Celebrating You set. I stamped the duck from Easter Friends on white card stock with Soft Suede ink and colored a little Pale Papaya and Pumpkin Pie on the duck with my Stampin Blends markers. PP583 Just For You Romance Floral

Sometimes with floral sets it is hard to keep it clean and simple. Today I am trying for Laurie's clean and simple floral theme challenge for thepaperplayers.blogspot.com with the Ranunculus Romance bundle. I used Very Vanilla card stock for the background and layered it on a Blushing Bride base. I took my blending brush to blend Blushing Bride ink in the middle of the panel of Very Vanilla. I then stamped several times with the words and postage stamps in the set in the same color ink. I then stamped on Very Vanilla card stock the sentimnet in Soft Succulent ink and the roses in Blushing and Soft Succulent inks. I used my Stampin Write markers to add colors to the roses before stamping. I cut the roses out with the matching Ranunculus dies and cut the sentiment out by hand. I finished off with some iridescent rhinestones for bling.
Hope you have a beautiful weekend!

Oceanfront View

I wanted to combine the Oceanfront set with the Waves of Inspiration set for a quick oceanfront view.
I cut a white cardstock panel and stamped the sky in Pool Party ink and the water in Coastal Cabana ink. I then stamped the sand stamp in Sahara Sand ink and rocked the top in Soft Suede before stamping on the background. I stamped the rocks and the sea oates in Soft Suede ink. For the pelican and wood posts part of the Waves Of Inspiration set, I added color with my Stampin Write markers in Misty Moonlight and Soft Suede. I then colored a little on the post with my light Crumb Cake Stampin Blends marker. This was stamped on a white pice of card stock and cut with the matching die from the Waves dies. After layering on a piece of Sand Sahara card stock and a Coastal Cabana base, I added several pebble shapes to the bottom of the posts.
Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

Beachy Palms

This card uses a combo of the Paradise Palms set, the Oceanfront set and the On The Horizon set. I first cut the white card stock panel to stamp my scene on and added the sand with Sahara Sand ink rocked a little in Soft Suede ink and stamped a few times across with stamp from Paradise Palms. I then created the water with the one stamp from Oceanfront layered over several times with Bermuda Bay ink. I then added ink to the palms stamp from Paradise Palms with my Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green Stampin Write markers. I stamped the sun in Mango Melody ink from the set. The birds are from the On The Horizon set stamped in Soft Duede ink. Finally, I stamped the sentiment from Paradise Palms in Bermuda Bay ink a piece of white card stock and punched out with the Double Oval punch. All were layered on a Sahara Sand panel of card stock and a Soft Suede base.

Birthday Palms

I love the Paradise Palms bundle and creating scenes with it. Today's card does not used the dies from the bundle but using color and great stamps you can create a great beach scene. I used the white card stock panel layered on a Pool Party base to start. I stamped the dunes or sand in Sahara Sand ink several times along the bottom. I then used the same stamp turned upside down and stamped several times in Pool Party ink to make the water. I added some grass in Soft Suede and then the palm trunk in the same color. I stamped the palm tops in Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped the Soft Suede coconuts on white card stock and snipped them out. I added a Mango Melody sun on the side. I cut a white Ornate Frame die and stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink.
Have a special day and thanks for stopping by!

Breathe Sunset

I love adding the sunset for the Oceanfront scene. I got the idea from Patty at Pattystamps.com  I stamped on the white panel with the Oceanfront set in Mango Melody sky, Coastal Cabana water and Sahara Sand plus Soft Suede for the sand and rocks. I stamped the sea oates in Soft Suede ink, too. For my sun set, I punched a 1 1/4" half circle in a post-it note and blended Mango Melody with my blending brush.  When stamping my sand, I inked up the sand stamp in Sahara Sand and rocked the top of the stamp in Soft Suede to get the darker lines in the sand. I stamped the sentiment from the On The Horizon set n Soft Suede ink on white card stock and cut it out by hand. I also cut the fence in white card stock frm the Horizon dies. I "hung" the "sign" on the fence and I like it. I finished off with some pebbles shapes and layered it on a Coastal Canaba panel of card stock and a Mango Melody base.
Have a blessed Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Waves

I loved playing with these Waves Of The Ocean collection and creating scenes. For this card, I used a Coastal Cabana base and a white panel was cut to create the ocean scene. I stamped the wave in Coastal Cabana ink from the Waves Of Inspiration set and then blended both Soft Saffron and Mango Melody inks for the sky with the blending brushes. I then stamped the birds in Early Espresso ink on the background and with the same ink, I stamped seagull with poles on a piece of white card stock. I colored the bird with a light Crumb Cake Stampin Blend marker and the poles with a light Soft Suede Stampin Blends marker. I then cut a piece of Coastal Cabana foil with the Waves die to layer over the water. I used same die set to cut the white clouds. I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana ink on a white label from the Waves dies. The last piece was the sun I grabbed from the Paradise Palms set and stamped on the background in Mango Melody ink.
I love how it turned out!

I stamped the wave in Pacific Point ink from the Waves Of Inspiration and then added the white cut out on top from the Waves dies. I cut the clouds out in white card stock and took my sponge dauber to add a little Balmy Blue ink on them. I popped them up above the wave. I then stamped the seagull in Cinnamon Cider ink and cut with matching die. For the sentiment, I stamped it in Pacific Point ink on white card stock and cut the die cut from the Waves dies.

A Perfect Chic Birthday

I do not know why this card was so hard to photogragh. I tried several times and it would not lighten up. I made this card last week for my aunt's birthday today with the Blessings Of Home bundle plus Heart & Home DSP. I stamped the large floral image on white card stock with Basic Gray ink. I painted the wink of stella all over it for a shine which is not showing up in the photos. I cut it out with the matching dies called Flowers Of Home dies. I layered together a Fresh Freesia base a white card stock panel along with a print of Fresh Freesia from the Heart & Home DSP. I added some Basic Gray dots plus lots of Fresh Freesia open weave ribbon. I then took a Heart & Home doily which was Bumblebee on one side and white on the other and blended Fresh Freesia ink over the white side with my blending brush. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark ink on a strip of Fresh Freesia card stock and hheat embossed it in white emboss powder.
I was going for shabby chic with this card and hopefully I nailed it.

Spring Boxes For Class

I made these boxes for my guest in card classes this week to carry home their cards. I try to use retired card stock I have left over and here I grabbed some Pineapple Punch card stock that retired a few years ago since it was perfect for spring. I then looked through my designer paper and found that the Hand-Penned DSP work well with it. I cut the panels of DSP to attached to the box and then cut a matching die from this suite from the Penned Flowers dies in Misty Moonlight card stock. I stamped the sentiment from Flowering Rain Boots set in Misty Moonlight ink on white card stock and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes dies in a circle. I finsied off with some retired colored rhinestones.

For the box, you can see my friend Samm Hammond Donald aka Pootles.co.uk make them here plus directions.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

In Full Bloom With Rain Boots

This is the last card for card classes this week with the Flowering Rain Boots bundle.  I did make a card similar to this a few weeks back and decided I love it for class. I did change the sentiment and what die I cut it with for this card. I stared with a Fresh Freesia base and added a panel of white and Gorgeous Grape. On the white panel, I stamped the stems across in Granny Apple Green ink. I then used one blending brush to blend on Pool Party ink for the sky and Granny Apple Green ink for the grass with another brush.  On another of white card stock I stamped the boots in Gorgeous Grape ink, the stems in Granny Apple Green ink and the tulips in Fresh Freesia ink. I cut them with the matching Rain Boots dies. I popped them up on my scene. I then stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink from the same set on a piece of white card stock and cut it out with the Tasteful Labels dies. I finsihed it off with a iridescent rhinestone on the die.
Hope you have a lovely Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!
