PP355 Beautiful Birthday Bouquet!

It was hard to get a good photo of this card...maybe the
texture of the emboss folder or the circle making a shadow.
I laid it down to get this shot.
I went with the birthday, pink, circle in the last column.
I have finally got the Garden Trellis emboss folder
and so this is my first time using it.
I stamped four different pinks for the flowers
and cut them with the matching dies.
I cut the stems with Old Olive card stock.
I added pearls to the flowers and placed them around the
circle with the sentiment.
I think it makes for a lovely card.

Hope you can play along with the challenge this week over at

Hello Birthday Delivery!

I made this card with my mom in mind.  I have already sent it off in the mail.
I know she would like the girl.
Balloons can be just for fun and not only for a special occasion.
I stamped the balloon and girl from the Birthday Delivery set on water color paper.
I colored her dress with Real Red and her hair Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight.
I colored her skin with Calypso Coral very lightly.
I colored the balloon with Pacific Point.
I cut them out with matching dies from the Birthday Friends framelits dies.
I used the water color pencils along with my aqua painter to color them.
I layered the girl on a Whisper White stitched oval die.
I stamped the sentiment from O Happy Days stamp set on my Real Red
background piece. I layered some Birthday Memories DSP on top and added
the lovely 1/4" stitched edge ribbon in Pacific Point.
Last, I placed my balloon on the Real Red card stock with a dimensional and then
used some Island Indigo(retired) baker's twine from her hand to the balloon.
All was layered onto a piece of thick Whisper White for the base.

Hope you have a lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

TTTC008 A Magical Mermaid

Look at me fussy cutting for the tictactoechallenge.com
this week.  I went for the middle row across with circle (two for the sentiment),
linen thread (used behind the circles) and birthday (love this sentiment)
All images are from a wonderful set that will probably get passed over
called Magical Mermaid.  I grabbed a piece of the Naturally Eclectic DSP
because it already looks water colored and stamp some sea grass or seaweed in
Basic Grayand faintly stamped the shells stamp along the bottom.
I stamped the sentiment in Real Red on Whisper White- circle cut
and layered on a Basic Gray circle.  I added some linen thread behind.
For my mermaid, I stamped her on water color paper
with Memento Tuxedo Black and let her dry while I did the other element of the card.
I then colored her with my water color pencils and used my aqua painter.
I used Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point on her tail, and Pacific point on her hair braid.
I lightly colored her skin with Calypso Coral. I used Real Red on her hair.
The Real red was not dark enough for me some I went back over it
with Real Red ink straight from the pad.
I did fussy cut her out...not well on the hair part but the body was easy enough.
I finished it with some rhinestones for bling.

Hope you can play along with the challenge this week.
Thanks for stopping by and have a magical day!

FMS298 Thinking Of You Leaves

I loved how my friend Linda Callahan over at Stampinseasons.blogspot.com
used the leaves for this so I just had to case.  I then saw
a lovely card from Nadine Koller at stempelmami.de with the baby wipe
technique with the leaves and some foil leaves and I had to used those on
my creation, too!
I added the Softly Falling emboss folder after stamping for texture.
After several drops of ink on a baby wipe, I used it as a stamp pad for my leaves
with Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry, and Tangerine Tango.
I stamped the sentiment also from the same set-Colorful Seasons- in Fresh Fig.
I cut out the leaves from Seasonal Layers thinlits dies with some Copper foil.
I only punched out a few pieces from the die before layering over my stamped leaves.
I mounted the Very Vanilla background on a piece of
thick Very Vanilla for the base.
I really love how this card turned out.

FabFri117 You Float My Boat

I have been wanting to use this set..it is my newest one
called Message In A Bottle.
I stamped the bottle in Soft Sky. The boat in the bottle in Early Espresso.
I stamped the mermaid in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I water colored the with my aqua painter the sails and the hair with So Saffron.
I colored her skin with Blushing Bride, her hat and shells with Sweet Sugarplum
and finally, her tail with Soft Sky.
I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso on a strip of Soft Sky.
I cut the boat and mermaid out with Layering Circle dies
and arranged on a piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP.
I layered some Night of Navy card stock behind then
onto a piece of thick Whisper White card stock for a base.
I finished it off with a few glitter dots...kinda look little bubbles, right?
I love the way this card turned out!

GDP097 Tulips Make Me Smile

Tulips really do make me smile!
I stamped the base of the tulips off once in Berry Burst ink
and then full on with the same ink.
I also stamped the center of the flowers and sentiment with Berry.
The sentiment is from Colorful Seasons stamp set.
I used the Wild Wasabi for the stems and added some
Crumb Cake splatter from the Timeless Textures set.

PP354 Life Happens

I just had to play with this set again when I saw this sketch.
I am glad I did because it helped me decided on a bit of my card layout
for my class with this suite in August. I want the guests to be able to
choose some different sentiments for their cards.
I chose this DSP because it is fun and neutral at the same time.
I add a strip of Soft Sky card which I stamped the
sentiment on in Early Espresso.
I stamped the cup in Espresso ink, the lid and heart in Soft Sky
all on Whisper White card stock. I used the matching dies to cut them out.
I cut the paper sleeve from Crumb Cake card stock.
I used the heart from the Wood Words stamp set and its matching die to
cut it out. I love the texture of that heart stamp.
All was layered on a piece of Crumb Cake card stock for the base of the card.

TTTC007 Live It With Zest

Playing along with the tic tac toe challenge this week with the bottom row across.
I used my Pinewood Planks emboss folder for the emboss folder,
some glitter enamel dots for the embellishments and I think the color of the lemons is obvious!
I did try a few yellows but really like the Daffodil Delight for the lemons!
I stamped the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist and punched them out as well as
the lemons with their matching punch.
I rubbed a little Crumb Cake with a sponge over the piece of white pinewood.
I then layered my lemons and decided to stamp my two sentiments in
Memento Tuxedo Black and cut them with circle dies and layer on more
Daffodil Delight.
A little black card stock layered behind the wood piece makes it pop.

FMS297 You Make Me Smile Leaves

I saw amazing cards from the SU! Artisan team blog hop
this week and just had to make a card using some of their techniques.
I loved Kim Van Diepen's card over at
stampinbythesea.com
I have mentioned before that she has a way with water coloring
that
I wish I could do so well.
I started with a piece of water color paper
and washed some Crushed Curry ink over it.
I cut out the leaves from Seasonal Layers thinlits dies
in water color paper and water colored with the aqua painter
more Crushed Curry and Fresh Fig.  I stamped the sentiment in
Fig on Curry card stock and cut it with an oval die.
I placed the leaves around and added some bling with a few gold sequins.
The card base is 4/1/4" square of Crushed Curry.

Special Delivery

I wanted to water color the poodle and balloon from
the Birthday Delivery set.
I started with stamping the poodle and the balloon on water color paper.
I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then cut them out with the matching dies.
I water colored them using the aqua painter and water color pencils.  The balloon
and the hair bow on the poodle are Real Red and the poodle is colored with both
Early Espresso and Smoky Slate. I wanted the balloon darker but it just did not get there.
I cut a piece of Old Olive and layered a piece of Whisper White scalloped a bit
on the bottom to look like grassy meadow.  I stamped the sentiment
in Memento Tuxedo Black then layered it with Pacific Point,
some of the matching DSP called Birthday Memories.  I added a piece of
Island Indigo twine (retired) to the poodle and balloon for string.

Finally some white background and a Pacific Point base.
I did add some Wink of Stell clear glitter to the balloon and the fur on the poodle
for some shine but does not show up good in photo.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Girl

I saw some simple cards on Pinterest with the
girl from the Birthday Delivery set and wanted to make one
for a friend's birthday next week.
I started with stamping the girl and the flowers (separately) on
water color paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I let them dry and water colored with the aqua painter after
I colored them with my water color pencils.
On the girl, I used Pacific Point on the dress,
 Daffodil Delight and Early Espresso
on her hair then lightly did Calypso Coral on her skin.
The flowers were Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry with Pacific Point for the bow.
It turned out too dark...next time will use a lighter color for the flowers!
I cut the girls and flowers with matching dies and placed flowers in her hands.

I layered on a white oval then a Pacific Point scallop oval then on
a Whisper White background with birthday girl stamped from two
different stamps in the set which I used a Rich Razzleberry marker
to color before stamping.
I then layered on more Pacific Point and finally a thick Whisper White base.

I like water coloring these and the pencils made it easy!
Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by!

Smile For Eastern Beauty

I had some of the Dapper Denim "flower" dies
left over from another project and decided to use it to
make a card with the Eastern Beauty set and matching DSP.
I stamped the sentiment from the set in Fresh Fig and then cut
it out with a circle die layering with another in Fresh Fig.
I added them to the Denim flower die and cut some
paper from the Eastern Palace DSP for the background
and ran some Fresh Fig 1/2" finely woven ribbon across
before layering on a Dapper Denim base.
To finish was the added a few pearls under the sentiment
and it was a quick card in my stash!

Hope you have a delightful day and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Bouquet

I have seen most of the bouquets made with this set straight up and down
so I decided to make this bouquet laying some what.
I started with the stems cut with Tranquil Tide card stock. I cut a tie
for the bunch from Soft Suede. I then stamped two of all flowers
and middles on white card stock.  I even cut two sprigs from white with out stamping.
I used the matching die cuts called Bouquet Bunch framelits dies.
I stamped the birthday sentiment three times for fun
and fill the space on my white card stock.
I layered it on the embossed Berry Burst card stock
and then finished it layering on a piece of thick Whisper White.

Hope you have a blessed Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful Bouquet Square

I wanted so much to make amazing bouquets
with this Beautiful Bouquet set but a little overwhelmed with it.
I decided to start out small but stamping
a little on the card stock and then
layering some die cut flowers over with a bold sentiment.
I stamped three Calypso Coral flowers and added some Pear Pizzazz
leaves.  I then stamped two Pool party flowers and two middle in
Daffodil Delight and cut them with the Bouquet Bunch framelts dies.
I stamped one other flower in Daffodil Delight and cut it out.
The sentiment was from Colorful Seasons stamped in Early Espresso ink.
I cut the white card stock at 3 1/2" square and layered it on

PP353 Love You Flamingos

I have been wanting to make a card with two flamingos because
I think more flamingos are better!  What is more fun in the water than two flamingos!?!
Well, probably several things but I love the water stamp in this set!

I started with my two flamingos stamped in Blushing Bride and then Calypso Coral.
I added water in both Pool Party and Tranquil Tide.
Some grass in the lovely Lemon Lime Twist.
A very quick scene to "paint"!  I used the sentiment I thought
went well with these two flamingos stamped in Tranquil Tide.
I know of a few others from other sets I will try another time.
It need something in the corner so I used a little Coral banner and thick white twine
bow to finish it off.

Extra Ordinary Shells

I was going for fast, simple... and did I say fast?
I stamped the shells across in not a perfect order
with Sahara Sand ink from the So Many Shells stamp set.
I then used a wonderful sentiment from that set
stamped in Island Indigo.
I layered the white and Indigo card stock a little off and wrapped some
linen thread around.
I placed them on a Sahara Sand base for that fast and simple card.

TTTC006 Beautiful Thing

A quick 4 1/4" square card for you today with the tic-tac-toe-challenge!
I did a little casing from my friend and fellow Pretty Pal, Linda Callahan
over at stampinseasons.com
I am working the right column down with Square (card and stitched
square in middle), Wrap (ribbon wrapped around and tied) and Wood-grain
(the chair is cut from the Wood Textures DSP).
I started with a piece of white glossy paper
cut with the largest stitched square die.
I rubbed Crushed Curry, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral
inks over it with a sponge.  I sprayed it with
water and let dry to give a wash/wet look.
When dry I stamped the sentiment from Colorful Seasons on
in Early Espresso ink.
I cut the chair from Woof Textures DSP with a die from the
Seasonal Layers dies and cut a few flowers I stamped with same set and
matching dies.
I wrapped my copper ribbon around the Sahara Sand base and tied it and added my layers.

I hope you can play along at tictactoechallenge.com this week.

FMS296 For You Textured Shell

I designed a 4' square based on the sketch.  I started with a
3'square piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the sentiment from the
So Many Shells set in Early Espresso in the corner.
I then added some texture with Timeless Texture stamps in
Powder Pink and Sahara Sand.
I stamped the shell in a Powder Pink and then a Sahara Sand
layer and snipped it out.  I popped it up on the card and layered
with a Piece Early Espresso square.  I added some burlap ribbon
behind on the bottom.  It still needed something at the top
so I added two gold sequins from the metallic sequins collection.

I grabbed my Tranquil Tulips set when I saw these colors.
I stamped the base of the tulips in Sweet Sugarplum and then
layered Rich Razzleberry over the middle large one and Berry
Burst over the other two.
I stamped the middle of each flower with rich Razzleberry
and the stems in Lemon Lome Twist.
I layered the white with Berry Burst.
I used a piece of Sweet Sugarplum
to emboss with the new Pinewood Planks emboss folder.
I used some Berry Burst 1/2" finely woven ribbon to

Happy Unicorn Frappuccino Birthday!

Today is my daughter's 22nd birthday!
I cased this drink from Allison Okamitsu at
nicepeoplestamp.blogspot.com.
My daughter loves not only Unicorn Frappuccinos
from Starbucks but her fav color is turquoise!
I cut the large cup die in the water color paper and used
my aqua painter to wet the paper.
I picked the Tempting Turquoise ink to swirl then added
the Berry Burst around.
I then cut another large cup with the die from a window sheet
to layer on top.
I also cut the whip cream top and stamped it with the small hearts
from the Coffee Cafe stamp set.
I stamped the lid in VersaMark on vellum and heat embossed
with white emboss powder.  I cut it with the matching die.
I stamped the straw in Tempting Turquoise and cut it with the die, too.
I stamped the heart from Wood Words in turquoise and punched it out
with 1" circle punch.
The background is from the a mask set called Pattern Party
Decorative masks.  They are a new item to go with the
new embossing paste but I laid it down and sponged the turquoise
ink on the white.
I then decided to do a simple Happy Birthday
across the bottom in Berry Burst from the
Confetti Celebration set.
I added Wink Of Stella clear glitter
on the clouds.
After this photo, I went back and added some rhinestones
by the sentiment for more bling!

I hope you have a blessed day and
thanks for stopping by!

Thanks A Latte

I cased this card a little from Juana Ambida.  I like her use of Marina
Mist with Soft Suede and Early Espresso.
I water colored on the background in Marina Mist.
I cut the large cup in Soft Suede and I cut with another
die for the Early Espresso paper holder.  I stamped the
sentiment in Marina Mist ink and cut it with a matching die.
I stamped the coffee beans in Early Espresso on Soft Suede.
They were cut with a matching die...love that it is so easy.
I then stamped on vellum the lid and whip cream with Versamark
ink and heat embossed with white emboss powder.
I stamped the straw in Marina Mist and use the matching die.
To finish it off, I added the sequin to top to balance it.
I think it looks like a iced mocha latte!

Thank You With More Background Bits

I did a little casing from the catalog for this one.
I used the background stamps from this great host set
called Background Bits.  I stamped the words in Sahara Sand
and the border in Emerald Envy and the stamp I call
blurry in Calypso Coral. I also used my markers
to color the flowers in Coral and Emerald. I ran some
linen thread around the back of the Sahara Sand card stock
with the Calypso Coral sentiment.
I stamped the same blurry stamp in Sahara Sand on the

For You With Petal Garden Suite

I love this suite!  I know I said that yesterday!
I stamped the large rose by inking the leaves in Old Olive and the rose
in Rich Razzleberry with my markers.
 I stamped the awesome background
stamp in Sweet Sugarplum and added to the corners.
More of that ribbon I forgot was Fresh Fig was tied in a bow for the flower.
I added the sentiment in a banner to the front.
The strip of DSP was left from yesterday's card
and I added it behind and layered on Rich Razzleberry.

Hope you have a beautiful day!

I Adore You

I love the Graceful Garden suite.  I love this paper!
I focused on it for the card more than the stamps.
I layered the designer paper on Rich Razzleberry and then
a Whisper White base.  I stamped the rose and sentiment on a
Stitched Shapes oval and added some pearls. The sentiment is
in Rich Razzleberry and for the rose I used my
markers to color Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum
and a hint of Rich Razzleberry before stamping.
I then realized I should be using the Fresh Fig but
it is close to razzleberry.
I added the ribbon behind the oval.
I love the thin sheer ribbon in Fresh Fig
and need to get a few more colors of it!

I hope you have a grace filled day and
thanks for stopping by!
