Love this card..especially the layout.
I cased it from a card by my friend Linda Callahan.
I stamped the birds from Free As A Bird set on white
card stock I cut at an angle. I stamped it along with the
sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the
birds as well as the flowers with my Stampin Blends markers.
The birds were in Daffodil Delight and Ivory.
The leaves in Granny Apple Green and the flowers in
Highland Heather. A little Ivory on the branch, too.
I hand snipped the two flowers on the point of the white.
I layered it on a piece of Bird Ballad DSP in Daffodil
and then on a Heather base.
I really like coloring these birds.
Need to try lots more colors on them!
Hope you can play along with using this fun color combo over at
thepaperplayers.blogspot.com this week.
Thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Windy! I love how you cut the cardstock at an angle. That is such a cool look, especially highlighted with the purple blooms. That pattern of DSP is my favorite, too. It's so perfect with those little birds. Thanks for rocking my colors this week! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Windy! I love the jaunty angle of your panel and the patterned DSP compliments your sweet birds perfectly. I didn't realise how similar the colouring on my card was to yours until I uploaded it - clearly we were similarly inspired this week!
