Butterflies On My Mind

Another quick card using the Butterfly Bijou DSP both for the background print and the cut butterfly.

I used the beautiful print of the Bijou DSP layered on a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock and a Magenta Madness base. I then cut the butterfly from another print of the DSP with the Brilliant Wings dies and popped it on a Stitched Oval white oval.  I then stamped the sentiment from the Simply Succulents set on a white strip in Magenta Madness ink. I finished off with some pink rhinestones.

Blended Butterflies

 

Quick card by stamping the background white card stock with the Butterfly Brilliance set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the blending colors on with the blending brush. I used Polished Pink, Bermuda Bay and Pale Papaya. I then layered it on a Polished Pink base. I cut a strip of Basic Black card stock to add across the background. I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Succulents set and punched it with the Polished Pink scallop from the Double Oval punch. I finished with some black matte dots.

PP538 Ice Cream Treat

 

I need to use more of this DSP and I already had the ice cream stamped and punched so I thought it was great for this awesome sketch by Claire over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com   I used a white base and added two different prints from Ice Cream Corner DSP then ran a strip of Blackberry Bliss thru with the Wrapped In Texture embossing folder. I cut a rectangle in white and added the stamped ice cream scoops from Sweet Ice Cream set in Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss inks. I added the sentiment on the bottom. I punched the cone from another DSP print with the Ice Cream Cone builder punch. I finished off with a Blackberry Bliss 3/8" striped ribbon bow and some gold dots.

Ombre Butterfly Hello

 

Just got to love this ombre butterfly background paper from the Butterfly Bijou DSP pack. I just had to add it to a So Saffron base and pop a butterfly cut from the same paper pack withe Brilliant Wings dies and add some Pool Party sheer ribbon behind. I added a almost hidden little hello on top of the right of the butterfly on a strip of Whisper white stamped in pool Party ink from the Free As A Bird set. 

Really fast and easy card!

FabFri212 Flamingo Mother's Day

 

My mother and I do not have much in common but we both do love our flamingo birds. I collect flamingo stuff and love my flamingo stamp sets. She has a few flamingo things and loves when I send her a flamingo card. So when I was getting ready to make my Mother's Day card this weekend, I saw the color challenge over at fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com and had to use for my card since they are perfect colors. I stamped the flamingo in Flirty Flamingo ink from the Friendly Flamingo set on white card stock along with the tropical floral bunch in Old Olive ink. I also stamped two long vines in Soft Seafoam ink and two flowers in Terracotta Tile ink. These were all cut with the matching Flamingo dies. I took the white background and blended some Soft Seafoam over it with my blending brush. I stamped the sentiment in Terracotta tile ink and layered my images. After adding to the Flirty Flamingo base, I finished it off with some opal rounds on the vines.

Butterfly Pizza Gift Box

 

I felt like playing around with a 3D object today! I grabbed a mini pizza box and while flat I sprayed it Bermuda Bay. I used a spritzer to add some rubbing alcohol and 5 drops of Bermuda Bay ink to spray my color. It dries really fast. I folded the box together and added a piece of the Butterfly Bijou DSP on top. I then cut a butterfly from the same DSP with the matching dies and added it to a white oval die then placed some 3/8" sheer Pool Party ribbon behind. I stamped a sentiment on a strip in Bermuda Bay ink from the Itty Bitty Greetings set. I added rhinestone to the butterfly to finish it off.

Cherish Dragonfly

 

I wanted to use some more of my Dandy Garden DSP before it retires in June. I grabbed the print which I can punch out a dragonfly to get this Calypso Coral one. I also punched two small ones with the Dragonflies punch from the other side of that same DSP print. I then added the Coral print of DSP to a white piece of card stock and ran some white ribbon around before layering on the Blackberry Bliss base. I cut the stitched square from Stitched Shapes dies in white and then layered on a Blackberry Bliss one. I popped up on dragonfly after stamping the sentiment in Bliss ink from Etched In Nature-a new set coming in the SU! 2021-2022 annual catalog on May 4th. I finished off with some holiday rhinestones in Pumpkin Pie.

PP537 Posy In Polished Pink

 

I made this card for an OnTour event online with SU! this past weekend. I was showing off the Pansy Petals suite and the new in color Polished Pink.  It works great for Laurie's clean and simple birthday challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com  I stamped the flowers, stem and leaves with the Pansy Patch set and cut with the matching dies. The flowers was stamped in Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, and Early Espresso for the center. The leaves/stem stamped in Evening Evergreen. I added it to a stitched rectangle of the Natural Touch specialty paper and another cut with Polished Pink card stock. I popped these up on a print of the Pansy Petals DSP and layered it on a Polished pink base. I stamped the sentiment in Polished pink ink and punched with the Double Oval punch.

Hydrangea Hill Gift Bags

 

I decorated white gift bags with the Hydrangea Hill DSP and card stock for my guest this week at card classes. I used a piece of the DSP cut 4" by 6". I added  a Purple Posy Stitched So Sweetly die and then cut the flower from Old Olive card stock and another print of DSP. I finished it off with a Gorgeous Grape glitter dot.

Happy Father's Day Card

 

This is my Father's Day card for classes this week. I wanted to use the Soar Confidently set and do some fun background.  For the background, I started with a piece of Whisper White and sponged on Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather and Balmy Blue inks. I stamped some compasses from the Sailing Home set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then ran it through the Subtles embossing folder for texture. I added it to the piece of Basic Black card stock and a Pacific Point base. I added a strip of Pacific Point card stock across and added the sentiment stamped in same color on a white strip. I cut two stitched rectangles in black and white. I stamped the hot air balloon on in Memento Black and added a little Pacific Point ink with the sponge dauber. I finished it off with a iridescent pearl.

Thinking Of You In Blooms

 

This fun card is for card classes next week combining the Blossoms in Bloom set and the Brilliant Wings dies. I used a fav color combo in Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.

I stamped the big floral image from the set in Gorgeous grape ink on a white piece of card stock measuring 4" by 5 1/2" and then I cut it in half so my class can make two cards from this one image. 

I actually cut it after I added the Mango flowers, Granny Apple leaves and the Memento Tuxedo Black centers. I then layered this 2" by 5 1/2" strip on a Gorgeous Grape base with some Mango Melody cut 2 1/2" by 5 1/2".  I then cut two Grape butterflies from the Brilliant Wings dies to pop on. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black and punched with the Double Oval punch along with the scallop Grape card stock. I finished off with Grape rhinestones that are retired.

Hopping By With Kangaroo & Company

 

I have another card for classes next week with the Kangaroo & Company bundle. I went with a neutral color in So Saffron and Mint Macaron in case someone wants to make a baby card with this for class. 

I added the Tasteful Textile embossed So Saffron to the base after running twine around and adding the bow. I then cut a Stitched So Sweetly scallop rectangle in white card stock and stamped some grass in Mint Macaron and the sentiment in Early Espresso. I then stamped the mama kangaroo and baby in Early Espresso on Gray Granite card stock and cut them with the matching Kangaroo dies. I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with the Mint Macaron, So Saffron and Petal Pink Stampin Blends markers. I added a rosy cheek to the kangaroos with the Petal Pink blend. I finished off with a few pearls.

Mothers' Day With A Welcoming Window

I love the Welcoming Window bundle and I am so glad it is is carrying over for the next year. I look forward to using it some more. You can see it now in the SU! 2021 Spring mini catalog and it will be in the new annual catalog which kicks off May 4th, 2021. It has a lovely Mother's Day sentiment in the set and so I knew I would use it for my Mother's Day card for classes this year. I had this idea in my head and then my friend and fellow Pal, Brian King, made a card super close so I just had to do some casing.  You can see Brian's card here. 

I started with the Pool Party Base and added the Soft Suede card stock on top. I then stamped on my Whisper White panel with Cajun Craze ink with the brick stamp in Welcoming Window. I left a white space in the middle for my window. I then stamped the shutters in Soft Suede on white along with the flowers in Just Jade and Rococo Rose and cut them with the matching dies called Window Flower Box dies. I used these to cut the window in Soft Suede and the flower jug in Pool Party card stock. After arranging, I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink to finish it off.

Hello Pansy Patch

 

This is my first play with stamping the Pansy Patch flowers and I did some casing from page 28 of the new Annual SU! 2021-2022 catalog which goes live on May 4th, 2021. Looking forward to my card class playing with this new suite next week in class. I started with a white base and added some Fresh Freesia cards tock and then a piece of Soft Succulent card stock for the background. I then stamped the background in Soft Succulent ink from the Tasteful Touches set. I stamped the flowers in Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss and Pale Papaya inks on white cardstock and cut with the Pansy dies. I also stamped a few leaves in Soft Succulent ink and cut out along with some in Evening Evergreen card stock. I then stamped the sentiment from the Pansy Patch set in Blackberry bliss on a strip of white card stock and cut two more strips in different patterns from the Pansy Petals DSP. I finished it off with a few champagne rhinestones. 

I used 4 of the 5 new in colors on this card- Evening Evergreen Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, and Soft Succulent.

A Pansy Patch Birthday

 

I wanted to play with the new Pansy Patch bundle along with the beautiful matching paper.  First, this Pansy Petals DSP is so beautiful that I will probably be buying an extra pack. The floral images are great but it some gingham patterns as well that I love. I was interested in seeing how the dies worked to make a flower and still not sure I used them right but was happy with the total card. I cut a white die from the Nature's Thoughts dies and layered it on a piece of the Pansy Petals DSP and added that to a Evening Evergreen base. I then cut leaves/stem from Evening Evergreen with the Pansy dies. I used Blushing Bride, white, Calypso Coral and a dot of Bumblebee card stocks to cut the piece for the flowers. I finished it off with stamped the sentiment from Pansy Patch in Calypso Coral ink.

I cut the white die with the Many Layered Blossoms die and did not use it on a project. I then decided to stamp the new in color called Fresh Freesia with the Blossoms in Bloom large stamp on a piece of Whisper White along with the sentiment. I added this to a Fresh Freesia base and glued the die on top. I finished it off with some gold dots on the center of the blooms. Really nice but super quick card!

PP535 Thinking Of Blooms

 

This is my first play with this lovely set and of course, I had to use one of my fav color combos- Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green.  Jaydee's spring flowers theme challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com comes at the perfect time as I just received this set called Blossoms In Bloom. I did not use the dies this time but they are awesome as well.

 I stamped on the white background the large flower die in Gorgeous Grape ink. I added the black centers and then the Mango Melody small flowers before the leaves in Granny Apple Green. Super quick stamping!  I ran a tri color striped ribbon around the layers of Mango Melody before adding to the Gorgeous Grape base. I then stamped the sentiment from the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black on a white card stock and used my Double Oval punch to punch out the sentiment as well as the Grape scallop oval. I wanted to add some bling but decided I liked it the way it was.

Healing Thoughts

 

I wanted to color some of the butterflies from the Butterfly Brilliance set with the Stampin Blends this week. I stamped these two butterflies from the set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and colored them before cutting with the Brilliant Wings dies.  I colored the top one with so Saffron and Magenta Madness blends. I colored the bottom with the Bermuda Bay blends. I added them to the white panel after stamping the middle a sentiment from Well Said set in Memento ink. 

I layered on the Magenta base two prints from the Butterfly Bijou DSP. Before attaching I ran a piece of Magenta Madness ribbon around. I finished it off with some Magenta dots.

Along The Way

 

I got inspiration from a mood board with my Pretty Pals stamping group for this card. I started with a white card stock panel and used my blending brush to add from top Flirty Flamingo, then Petal Pink and last Sahara Sand ink. I then stamped the sand from the Friends Are Like Seashells set in Sahara sand along the bottom. I attached it to a piece of Petal Pink and then a Sahara Sand base. I stamped the sand dollars in Sahara Sand on the same color card stock and cut them with the matching dies called Seaside Seashells.  I then stamped the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo ink on white card stock and punched out with the postage stamp punch. I finished it up with some opal rounds.

FF0081 Soaring For Earth Day

 

It is fun to create a scene with your stamps. I did one here for the Earth Day challenge over at festivefridaychallenge.com using clouds, green blue and trees. Earth Day is Aprill 22nd.  I had some help with the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit called Here's To You where I used the cloud stencil to sponge on some Balmy Blue on a white background. I then stamped the trees in Shaded Spruce ink. Some where stamped direct and some were lighter being stamped off once. I then added some birds in Night of Navy ink. Last, I stamped the sentiment in Navy on a white strip to add on the trees. I then turned to my Soar Confidently set to stamp the plane in Navy ink on white card stock and hand snip it out to place in my scene. I layered all on a Balmy Blue cards tock panel and then a Night Of Navy base.

GDP286 Amazing Seashells

 

I knew I would grab my Sand & Sea suite when I saw the color challenge over at global-design-project.com this week. I used a Seaside Spray base and piece of So Saffron on top before adding the amazing piece of designer paper from Sand & Sea DSP. I wish I could design paper to look like that! I stamped my shells from the Friends Are Like Seashells set on white cards tock in So Saffron, Seaside Spray and Sahara Sand inks and then hand snipped them out. I then laid each in the emboss folder called Seashells and ran it though the emboss machine. Love the texture on the shells and it makes them pop!  I then stamped the sentiment in Sahara Sand from the same stamp set on a white Stitched Rectangle die. I added some linen thread wrapped around before attaching all and made a double bow. I finished it off with opal rounds.

I am playing with Anne Marie's sketch challenge this week over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com using the lovely Hydrangea Hill DSP. I used a print of the designer paper in Highland Heather on the white base and more strips of it across and behind the panels. I used the Purple Posy stripe print for the background. I also used another print with the blooms for the panels. I wrapped some Gorgeous Grape ribbon around along with a bow before adding my sentiment from the Tranquil Thoughts set in Grape ink cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies in white card stock.
