PP749 To The Beach

I am playing along with Stef's theme challenge By The Water today over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com I am also using a lot of purple today because we have a purple challenge this month with my upline's stamping group.  It is my fav color so I can do it all day long!
I grabbed a fav set called that is retired called Sunkissed. I cut a Deckled Circle die and used my blending brushes to add some background color with Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Fresh Freesia inks. I then stamped the palm tree/water image over it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then stamped the sentiment from the same set in VersaMark ink on black card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder and cut it out with the Perennial Postage dies. I added all to a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock ran through with the Soft Waves embossing folder. I layered with Black card stock and a Gorgeous Grape base.  Last, I stamped the beach chairs/umbrella in Gorgeous Grape on the inside white piece of card stock. And this card is already in the mail to my baby boy!
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Tuesday!

  2. Windy, your beach scene in purple is gorgeous! I really love the rich texture of the wavy embossing background and the inking around the deckled circle. Thank you so much for playing along this week with the Paper Players!

  3. Beautiful in any colour! But the Gorgeous Grape lends a real tropical sunset vibe to the card. Lovely idea! Thanks for sharing with us at The Paper Players.
