I am so happy to be a guest on the Paper Adventures Team Blog Hop today and this split design was so fun to make! Take a look at my cards:
I made two cards with the split design with the Pretty Perennials bundle and some of my fav colors. I try to mirror them with the floral layout but I change the sentiments slightly so I would have a birthday and a kind of congrats card. I started with a Gorgeous Grape base and then layered a piece of Whisper White on top. I stamped my sentiments in Grape and Mango Melody inks. I then blended some Purple Posy ink on the top where I would place my flowers. It does not show up well in the photos since is a light color. I then stamped different flowers from Pretty Perennials set in Mango Melody with Early Espresso centers, Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather plus leaves in Granny Apple Green. I cut these along with tops in Purple Posy and leaves in Granny Apple Green card stock with the matching dies called Perennials Petals dies. I finished off the center of the flowers with pastel pearls in Highland Heather.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

ReplyDeleteThank you for joining us! Beautiful colour combination and layout-this stamp and die set are real winners!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea of a split/mirrored design - such a fun idea! Your card, though, is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! I love everything about it. The pops of yellow work wonderfully with these beautiful purples. ♥
ReplyDeleteI love that we used the same set to do the split design. The purple colours are so pretty! Purple and yellow is one of my all time favourite colour combos. Thanks so much for joining us on our team hop. Mandy x
ReplyDeleteThese are so pretty. I love the way the two cards look pushed together but then apart they are still so striking. All the layers of purple shades give it such depth. Thank you so much for hopping along with us this month and for creating such a gorgeous project to share.
