Deck The Halls In Bright Colors

I decided to not only go fancy on this card but use some
non traditional colors.  Thought the bright green/yellow shade is
being used more and more in Christmas decor!
I used Lemon Lime Twist(LLT)and Berry Burst- a color combo I really
love together. I used markers the do the sentiment
in the two colors.
It does not look very sharp but more water color and I like that.
I layered those squares together on a piece of Whisper White that I cut
with the Card Front Builder thinlits.
I layered some LLT behind to show through. I was crazy
and stamped the flowers and hand snipped them all out.
I finished it off with a Bitty Bow in LLT.
I already thought of who I will send this to for Christmas.

Hope you have a lovely Tuesday!

Deck The Halls in Elegant Eggplant

I have been wanting to play with this set
and stamp the deck the halls sentiment and the ornaments.
But I stood staring at what colors to use for sooo long!
I then thought why not grab my fav color-purple!
I did and Old Olive always works with it so there is my color combo!
I stamped the sentiment and then layered the square on a
 Elegant Eggplant scalloped square.
I used makers to ink up the ornaments and string.
The sting in Elegant Eggplant altering the ornament with each color.
I die cut a few and popped them up. I stamped the holly
piece and die it out for the finishing touch.
Nice , simple and clean!
Hoe you enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!

Special 3D For You

This is my 3D swap for WCMD 2017. I used the new
mini pizza box from the holiday catalog.
It comes white all over and I colored the outside purple-my fav color.
I first spritzed the box with my spritzer filled with
rubbing alcohol and drops of Elegant Eggplant.
But it came out really light so I then I grabbed my
sponge brayer and rolled on the same ink. Worked really well.
I then layered a piece of the Year of Cheer specialty DSP and
then 1/8" ribbon in both gold and silver.
I layered two of the metallic foil snowflakes on top.
It comes with 12 in gold and 12 in silver with the backs side in white which can be colored.
I added a gold faceted gem to the center.I wanted to add a tag tag but did not want to
take away from the lovely foil snowflakes.
Inside is a Starbucks gift card to enjoy!

Hope you have a blessed Sunday!

World Card Making Day 2017 and Hello Baby Showers

Happy World Card Making Day 2017
I am in Atlanta at an event I have attended the last several years
with my fellow demos and Pretty Pals.
I will share more later but go make
a card for someone special today!

Here is my second card for my friend and customer
who asked me to make baby shower cards for her daughter.
This is the same Moon baby set but with different images and
sentiments. I started with Pool Party for the base and top layer
which I cut with the clouds from Up & Away thinlits dies.
I added one of those cut clouds on the project as well as a
few I cut with silver glimmer paper.
I water colored the umbrella in Smoky Slate and the baby
with Pool Party and Blushing Bride.
Love the sentiments in this set and used two on the front this time.
I hope you have a wonderful World Card Making Day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Twinkle Twinkle

I was asked by a friend and customer to make a couple of baby cards
for her daughter's first and second baby showers this month.
I do not own baby sets really and go about 3-4 years in between making them.
I did keep the Zoo Babies set after it retired to use if I needed one.
However, another customer offered for me to borrow her Moon Baby set which
is really cute to make the cards.
Here is the first one I cased some from Michelle Miles  I started
with a Whisper White base and layered the Crumb Cake embossed with the
Stars emboss folder. I stamped the baby/moon image in
Memento Tuxedo Black and watercolored it
the aqua painter using Daffodil Delight,
Marina Mist, and Blushing Bride inks.
I stamped the sentiment on the stitched circle and the
rest of the sentiment inside the card here:

I finished it with some Daffodil Delight stars punched
out with a retired punch. I added a silver glimmer paper star for the bling!

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

GDP107 Thankful Grateful Blessed

I wanted something simple and I keep grabbing the copper foil.
I have been trying to remember to the use my
Year of Cheer specialty washi tape.  I grabbed it
to sketch across the card. I cut some copper leaves from the
Paisley framelits dies. I heat embossed in copper
the sentiment from the Paisleys & Posies stamp set.
I cut it with the Layering Ovals.
I then thought of the Wood Textures DSP but had hard time choosing
which wood. I finally settled on this print
and layered it on a Crumb Cake base.

Head over to global-design-project.com to play along
with the theme challenge this week.

PP364 Autumn Floral

I started this card with the flower.
I stamped the sunflower from Painted Harvest set
in Cherry Cobbler and the center in Soft Suede.
I added some dots to the center in Chocolate Chip.
I hand snipped it along with a few leaves stamped
in Old Olive. I stamped the other leaves in same color
and punched them with the matching leaf punch.
For the background, I used the embossing paste
and colored it with Cajun Craze ink. I used the
brick wall stencil on Very Vanilla card stock.
All was layered on a Cajun Craze base.
I can use it for any occasion this fall.

I hope you can play along with the theme challenge
this week over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com
