To Think Of You

This is my second card for classes this week.
I did a little casing from my upline Mary Fish.
I used the "flower medallion" as I call it from the
Eastern Medallions dies.  I stamped on Very Vanilla
the circle and sentiment from Eastern Beauty stamp set.
I used a circle die to cut it out then stamped a flourish around the petals.
I cut and layered some DSP from the same suite
and then a strip of Lime Lime Twist woven ribbon.
For my class I cut where vanilla is the base and then
the Dapper demin and vanilla layer on top as I was running
low on Denim card stock.  Still looks great!

Hope you have a fab holiday weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

FMS289 Hello In Gold

When I saw this sketch, I started staring at my stamp sets
trying to decided which one to use.
I love this Pop of paradise set and feel like it has been neglected
this spring.  And so it must be used!
I Stamped the flamingo in Melon Mambo and used the
Layering Square dies to cut it out. A little gold behind along
with the gold dotted paper from Pop Of Pink DSP.
I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and heat
embossed it in gold emboss powder then punched
it out with 1 3/8" circle punch.
I decided to stamp the leaves in the bright green
of Cucumber Crush. I cut them out by hand.
This set always makes me smile!

I hope you can play along with this sketch challenge
over at freshlymadesketches.com

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely Friday!

GDP088 Just Breathe In Gold

I did some casing of the designer over at
global-design-project.com
my friend Shawn De Oliveira.
His card is beautiful and I decided to use the gold,
Pink Pirouette, and Pear Pizzazz along with the floral theme.
I started with heat embossing the branch and the sentiment in
gold from the new Colorful Seasons set.  I stamped the flowers
from the set in Pink Pirouette and the middle in Pear Pizzazz.
I cut them with dies from the Seasonal Layers framelits dies.
I added a strip of gold foil behind before layering onto a
piece of Blushing Bride card stock (because I was not thinking and
grabbed the wrong color card stock.) It was embossed with the
Softly Falling emboss folder.

Love the gold embossing and will have to do it again
with the branches.
Hope you can play along with the case the designer challenge
this week!
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a lovely relaxing day!

PP345 Fabulous You

I decided when I saw this challenge that
I would try a stencil technique with my spritzer.
I cut from a piece of old card stock a butterfly and then
laid it down on a piece of Very Vanilla.
I loaded my spritzer with some rubbing alcohol
and 4 drops of Night of Navy.
I sprayed a few times to cover the card stock
and then lifted my butterfly die cut.
I am glad I grabbed Very Vanilla because I like the effect.
I layered that piece on Night of Navy card stock when it was dry.
I cut a small butterfly in Navy and added some thick
Very Vanilla twine to it.
Then for the sentiment.
I used a set and punch I should use more often.
I like how I can pick my words from the
Thoughtful Banners set then use the matching punch.
This Duet Punch comes in handy as it punches for me
a second larger punch for layering.

I hope you can play along with this clean and simple
butterfly challenge over at

Father's Day Nailed It

This is my first card for classes next week and my
Father's Day card this year.
I tried to use many elements like the tools cut out, the cool DSP
and silver foil embossed with a ruler!  I think the best part
of the card is the Basic Gray card stock embossed
with the Hexagon 3D emboss folder.  Love the texture!
I stamped the sentiment and it was die cut out and layered
on a Basic Black circle.
I stamped the tools in Basic Gray on Smoky Slate card stock,
used the matching dies to cut and then colored the handles
with a Delightful Dijon marker.
This uses up my Dijon card stock in time for its retirement!

I hope you have an amazing day!

Happy 2017 Graduation Cole!!!!

I made this card for my son Cole who is graduating---Today!!!!!!
He is graduating from high school today and I could not be more proud of him!
We have a wonderful grad trip planned next month for the British Isles!
I used a few retired sets for the stamps.

I used Dapper Denim for the base.
I used regular Whisper White and then water colored
with the aqua painter some Dapper Denim ink for the background.
Large number die cuts with the black glimmer paper are popped on top.
I added Happy and Graduation from Crazy About You stamp set
on the front.  Inside I have stamped the sentiment from
B.Y.O.P and the hat with tassel is from Pure Gumption!

I also did a pink version with Blushing Bride card stock and glimmer paper.
I also used Rich Razzleberry ink water colored on the background.

Hope your day is filled with many blessing!!!

Circles & Smiles!

I wanted to play with the circles for the background
but still love this color combo!

I played with two of the circles and then added the "star"
in the center. I love the petals of the
medallion die and love the sentiment!

Hope you have a lovely Sunday!
