FabFri162 and GDP187 Beach Happy By The Water

Happy last day of April!
Look at this great color combo-five lovely colors!

Any chance to use this set which is my fav right now!
I stamped the scene on a white 3 1/4" square and added the
Coastal Cabana square behind.
I first stamped the Pool Party waves
and then sponged some of that same ink under them.
I then stamped the chair/umbrella combo in Memento
Tuxedo Black ink along with the hat and beach basket.
I colored the chair with the Poppy Parade Stampin Blends marker.
I used the two step stamps to color in the top of the umbrella
with Coastal Cabana, Blushing Bride for the basket and
Petal Pink for the hat.
I stamped the sentiment in Poppy on a white circle and layered a
 scalloped circle in Poppy behind.
All this was layered on the Coastal Cabana stripes
DSP and the Poppy Parade base.
I think these two colors esp with the stripes are an old fashion
beach/boardwalk combo!

Hope you can play along with this fun color combo

CTS319 Thinking Of You Lakeside

CTS319

I just love the Coastal Cabana paired with Flirty Flamingo!
I used other bright colors for the lakeside card.
All stamped were from Lilypad Lake.
The sentiment was colored with my black marker to only highlight
the three words I wanted to use.
I stamped the bird, flowers and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black
on white card stock.
They were cut out with the matching dies.
I colored the bird lightly with Petal Pink and the flowers
with Flirty Flamingo and the pad with Granny Apple Green.
I stamped the sun in black ink on Pineapple Punch card stock.
It was cut with a matching die, too.
I added these on the Coastal Cabana background I stamped with
the water like stamp in the same color.
I layered the background on a piece of
white card stock and then the Flamingo base.
I finished by adding some clear epoxy dots to the water.

Hope you can play along with the awesome sketch

PP439 Happy Birthday With Petal Palette

This bundle called Petal Palette has served me well.
I have loved coloring the flowers and using the sentiments
in the set and the dies are so awesome. However,
it will retire in June and I will miss it.
I used it today to show off this great sketch by Claire
over at Thepaperplayers.blogspot.com and
the lovely Grapefruit Grove color.
I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black
on white and cut it out with the matching dies
called Petals & More.
I colored the flowers with my light Mint Macaron and
light Calypso Coral Stampin Blends markers.
The light Coral looks like Grapefruit and you can see above.
I layered a pearl doily behind, added a of Grapefruit
Grove Gingham Gala DSP and a white strip
with the Be Mine Stitched edgelit on the bottom.
I stamped the sentiment from Very Vintage in Black ink
then ran a piece of Grapefruit Grove sheer ribbon around
before layering on the Grapefruit card stock and the white base.
I finished it off with a sweet sheer bow.

Please head over to thepaperplayers.blogspot.com

A Horse For You

I week ago I did a sketch challenge
with a frame and it made me think of doing one with the
horse in Let It Ride.
I stamped the head in Memento Tuxedo Black
and colored it my Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Stampin Blends.
I stamped the sentiment in black and cut it out with the oval die.
I used a bigger oval to cit the frame out in Very Vanilla.
I stamped the Cajun Craze card stock
with the same color ink with the Crackle background stamp.
I ran some copper trim through and around before placing
it on the Very Vanilla base.
Sweet card and love this crackle stamp!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

FMS385 Be Strong

I needed a masculine card and I am still using
my soon to retire in colors!
So I grabbed the High Tide set for that light house
plus Fresh Fig ink and paper getting ready
to retire in June 2019.
O used the Fresh Fig as a base and layered a piece of
Sahara Sand on before the white layer.
I stamped the lighthouse in both Fresh Fig and Sahara Sand.
I add sand with Sand ink on the bottom and the bird in Fig.
I stamped the sentiments from Rooted In Nature and hand cut them and
popped them up with mini dimensionals to finish the sketch.
I like the clean and simple look!

GDP186 Springtime Birthday

Yes, it is kinda busy but I like it like that!
I used the Melon Mambo base and a layer of Whisper
White card stock before adding this floral print from
Garden Impressions DSP.
I stamped using the set called Abstract Impressions
on the White stitched square.
Shaded Spruce for the stems and Petal Pink
along with Melon Mambo for the flowers.
I used Pacific Point and Mango Melody for the butterfly.
I stamped the sentiment in Melon Mambo
from the Very Vintage set. I cut a Melon Mambo
flower and added a pink jewel to the center and then
I cut from the same dies called Springtime Impressions
a Petal Pink large floral piece I cut in half
and added to top on bottom of my square.

FF0032 Beautiful Thing

#festivefridaychallenge, #FF0032, Mother's Day, Pink

I am trying to use some of the retiring in colors up before June.
So went with a classic color combo as well as a wonderful relaxing scene.
I layered the Powder Pink and Whisper White pieces on the Berry Burst base.
I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and then stamped the
flowers in Berry and Pink along with a Suede center.
All are from the Colorful Seasons stamp set.
I cut the flowers along with the branch and the chair with the
matching dies called Seasonal Layers dies.
The branch in Suede and the chair in Berry card stock.

I hope you can play long with the pink and the MD
challenge over at festivefridaychallenge.com

CTS218 Thinking Of You With Tropical Chic

Before I got ready to do this challenge, I had pulled out
my retiring in color paper and I am determined to use them before
this June. I grabbed the Berry Burst, Powder Pink and the gingham
Lemon Lime Twist (three of 5 colors retiring June 3rd).
I use the Berry for the base and layered a piece of Whisper White
on then a strip of Powder Pink and a strip of Gingham Gala DSP
in Lemon Lime Twist. I happen to have my Tropical Chic set
out and so the card came together with ease!
I stamped the flowers in Berry and Pink on white card stock
and cut them with the matching dies.
I also stamped the leaves on white but I used first Lemon Lime
ink and then sponged a bit of Granny Apple Green on them
before cutting with matching die.
For the sentiment, I happened to have it stamped in black on
the white banner from the Beautiful Day set but did not use it for
another project and it was just laying there waiting to go somewhere!
I do not throw much away!
I finished this card off with some artisan pearls!

A Hummingbird Mother's Day!

I designed this card for my step mother for Mother's Day
because she loves birds and her garden flowers!
I stamped the bird and the flowers from Humming Along set
in Memento Tuxedo Black on white card stock
and colored them with the Stampin Blends markers.
For the bird, I used Balmy Blue, Smoky Slate and Mossy Meadow
markers and for the flower I used Calypso Coral with Mango Melody
and Granny Apple Green.
I cut them with the matching dies from Hummingbird dies
and popped them over the white stitched rectangle and the
Gingham Gala DSP in Balmy Blue. All is on a thick white base.
I stamped the sentiment from Tea Together set in black
on the rectangle die to finish it off.

PP438 Relax With Paper Piecing!

Happy Easter to You and Yours!
May you have a blessed Easter Sunday!

I keep telling myself I will be there soon!
At the Beach that is!
We head every year to Sanibel Island in June and
that scene is pretty much me for a week in my beach chair all day!
I decided when I saw this fun challenge I would try
to piece the umbrella with the DSP.
I thought some primary colors-blue, red and yellow
were perfect for this scene!
I stamped the chair and umbrella, the hat and the basket
along with the sentiment from Beach Happy
in Memento Tuxedo Black. I stamped the sand in Sahara Sand.
I stamped the sun from Waterfront set in Pineapple Punch.
I stamped the umbrella on the Poppy Parade designer paper
and hand cut it to place on my already stamped umbrella.
I stamped the stripes from the chair in Blueberry Bushel
and the basket in Pineapple Punch then the hat in Poppy Parade.
These were all two step images which makes it so easy!
To keep it clean and simple but add just a few more
fun polka dots, I layered a piece of Blueberry Bushel DSP
behind before adding on the Blueberry base.

Hope you can play along today

collects tea pots and will love this one!
I stamped the pot and the flower in
Memento Tuxedo Black on thick white card stock.
I colored them with Pool Party, Old Olive and Calypso Coral
 Stampin Blends markers.
I cut a stitched rectangle die in Pool Party and popped my images up.

Coral Floral Birthday

I can't remember if I have made a card with this large floral
image colored from All That You Are set.
I decided to color it in Calypso Coral with Mossy Meadow and
Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends after stamping it
with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The sentiment from the same
set is also in Black.
I added it on the  Garden Impressions DSP after adding the
dotted white tulle ribbon around.
I finished it off by layering it on a white base.

Poppy Get Better

My friend,  Brian King at stampwithbrian.com  , designed a Mother's Day
card last week where he colored this flower in Poppy Parade and I loved it!
I also realized I have not really used this stamp from the Humming Along set
but have used the words a ton as well as the hummingbird image.
I pulled it out and made this card along with a Mother's Day
card posting next week.
It was fun the color my flower with my Stampin blends in Poppy and
Light Shaded Spruce with Mango Melody in the center.
I cut it with the matching die and then popped it up on the Poppy
polka dot background.  I added some white card stock before
placing on a Poppy base.
I stamped the sentiment from the same set
and punched it out with the Tailored Tag punch.
I was tempted to add jewels but decided the polka dots were enough!
Hope you have a beautiful Day and
thanks for stopping by!

GDP185 Highland Heather Birthday

Love the monochrome challenge and of course,
I pulled out Highland Heather with white for my color!
No surprise there!
I stamped the background with the lace doily image from
Very Vintage set in Highland Heather on a piece of
Highland card stock.
I added a piece of white card stock across so you could see
my pretty Highland sheer ribbon. I placed this on a white base.
I stamped the floral image from same set along with the sentiment
again Highland Heather on a stitched rectangle.
I finished with some pearls!
Quick and sweet!

FabFri161

This was such a quick card because
I had several of this pieces sitting on my desk
from previous card classes.  Love when there are leftovers
I can use to make another card.
I have a Very Vanilla base along with a Vanilla frame.
I piece of Blushing Bride card stock in between stamped
with a fav sentiment from Humming Along in Memento
Tuxedo Black ink.
For the frame I had cut an oval out in the middle.
I stamped the flowers from All That You Are set in
Memento on Very Vanilla and colored them with the
Stampin Blend markers in Lovely Lipstick. I used a
Lemon Lime Twist marker for the center of the large one.
I cut them with the matching dies from Frosted Bouquet dies.
I had the stems and filter left from April card class also
cut from the same dies in Lemon Lime and Pear Pizzazz.
I pooped it all on and finished up with the pink pearls from

I layered the Balmy Blue textured paper from Tranquil Textures DSP
on a piece of Calypso Coral and then a white base after I stamped
some sea plants in Balmy Blue from the Sea of Textures set.
I cut a Daffodil Delight net and then stamped Harry in Coral on white
and cut both with the matching dies called Under The Sea.
I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Promenade stamped in

Poppy Thinking Of You

Another card with some scraps/pieces leftover.
I had the white piece ran through the Big Shot
with the Seaside embossing folder sitting on my desk along with
the flower stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on white card stock
from the Beautiful Day set.  I colored it months ago
in Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Call Me Clover
Stampin Blends markers but then did not use on anything.
I hand snipped it and layered it on a piece of Poppy Parade
DSP over the embossed white.
I layered all that on a Poppy Parade base.
It took my a while to decide where to place a sentiment.
I then decided to add it about in a white strip and I grabbed the
sentiment from the same set as the flower
and stamped it in Black.
I finished it off with the green enamel dots on the sentiment strip.

Have a lovey weekend!

FMS383 Flowers Bloom With Navy and Daffodil

I was not sure what I would do with the sketch but
looked through pieces I had on my desk on a basket of
things I stamp or cut and then do not use.
I had the white stitched square cut and the words stamped on
it in Night of Navy from All That You Are set but then decided
to use a bigger square so it was set aside.
Same with the scrap of Daffodil Delight Gingham Gala paper
and the background layer of Whisper White.
So the card came together quick with some elements done already.
I added the DSP to the white background and used the Night of Navy
gingham ribbon with a tie.  I placed it on a white base.
I stamped the flowers from All That You Are set in Navy ink on
Daffodil Delight card stock and cut them with the matching dies.
I then finished it off with some Daffodil Delight flower sequin pieces
to finish the sketch.

I cut a white stitched rectangle die and stamped the sentiment
in Memento Tuxedo Black.  From the same set called Time For Tea,
I stamped the cup/saucer on white in black ink
and cut it with the matching die. I colored the cup with a dark
Daffodil Delight Stampin Blend marker and the saucer in a light Pool Party.
I added it to a shape die from the same set called Tea Time in Cabana

CTS316 Sunny Days

I decided to grab my waterfront stamp set and play for the
focus of this great sketch by my friend Brian King.
I used a piece of white card stock cut out with the stitched rectangle dies.
I used colors from the DSP Tranquil Textures.
I stamped Balmy Blue water, Sahara Sand for the sand and trees,
Tranquil Tide for the palms, Pineapple Punch for the sun and
Fresh Fig for the beach hut and sentiment.
The sentiment is from Beach Happy and works well with this set.
I layered a Fig stitched rect behind and laid these on
the background DSP and a Balmy Blue base. The Balmy
piece of DSP is cut 4" by 5 1/4" and then I cut the dot
DSP at an angle and laid on top.
I finished it off with some clear epoxy shapes for something
subtle and water-like.
