GDP051 Thank You Vineyard!

The grapes seemed like a great choice especially since
I really like the Tuscan Vineyard set and look for ways to use it!
I water colored the grapes in wild Wasabi and Tip Top Taupe on water color paper.
I layered them with circles and I used another stamp in that set
to give some interest for the background along with the sentiment
from Rose Wonder.
I also pulled some pieces from the burlap ribbon to add across.
I hope you can play along with this yummy theme challenge
over at global-design-project.com

Thinking Of You!

I created this card also as part the design team at inkbigadademystamps.com.
Not much to do here but use the wonderful Serene Scenery DSP and heat emboss!
I layered DSP on two card stocks and then heat embossed the sentiment
from a host set called Time of Year.
It was really that simple...let the DSP do the work for you!
Hope you have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Fabuluous Foil For You!

I created this card for a design team over at inkbigacademystamps.com.
I used my fav Elegant Eggplant as a base and layers some Fabuluous Foil Acetate
with the beautiful scallops over it.
Then all I did was cut a shape from gold foil paper
and add a quick sentiment over the die.
Under the die is a circle of Elegant Eggplant.
Hope this inspires you to use the fancy foil on
your next project!  Thanks for stopping by!

FMS251 Thoughts & Prayers

Great sketch for this week over at freshlymadesketches.com
I started with the brick wall stamp from Ghoulish Grunge as the background.
I stamped over layering some to make look a little vintage. I stamped the
sentiment from the Rose Wonder set and was about to add to another circle when
my eye caught a left over leaf laying on my desk...say that fast!!!
It gave it a kind of fall look with some interest.
I hope you can play along this week, too.

I used the leaves from the Thoughtful Branches set.
I told you there was so much you could do with this set!
It is available now through next Wednesday the 31 st of August!
The sentiment here is from the loved Paisleys & Posies stamp set
in the new holiday catalog that starts on September 1st, 2016.

GDP050 Thankful Paisley Petals

Love the chance to show off DSP esp this great
paisley/floral design.  It was hard to cut the houndstooth print I must admit!
I love it so much and was so happy there are two colors of it in this pack.
I like the mix of the prints on the Rich Razzleberry card stock.
I then stamped part of the sentiment on a small banner piece.
I added a little flower like piece with leaves using the matching dies to finish it off!
Very sweet card and I hope you can play with this great sketch challenge

Thank You Fall Light

Love the Thoughtful Branches stamp set and matching dies!
This is the last week to buy them.
They could return in a future publication but we are not guaranteed!
The set/dies are available through August 31st. They are so versatile- one can stamp
flowers, leaves, trees, Christmas, Spring, Fall, Winter scenes!  I can go on and on!
Here I choose to do a Fall scene.  Fall is my fav season!
You have no idea how fast this card was to make!
I cut out a circle with a die.  Layered over the Very Vanilla card stock.
Sponged with sponge daubers inside the mask I created.
First, Cajun Craze, then a little Crushed Curry,
and last Always Artichoke. I removed the mask and stamp in black
the trees. Added the Thank you sentiment from
the same set and placed on top of a piece of Always Artichoke card stock
ran through the Big Shot with the Seaside emboss folder.
The folder makes me think of waves and tree bark, too!
So quick and easy and I love it each time I look a little more!
Check back because I will have more of this set this week!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed Tuesday!

Copy our badge for your blog.

I decided to play in Lori's Link Up for the summer going on
now until August 31st.
We could use any previous challenge and I picked
use Blue, Gold and White on a Christmas card.
When I saw this challenge, I could only think of the new
Star Of Light set I have been wanting to ink up!  Love the matching dies, too!
I used gold foil to cut a star and layered with white
over it with another detailed die cut star.

PPA314 Merry Christmas Wishes!

More SU! 2016 Holiday Sneak Peak!
When I saw this sketch, all I could think of was a tree in the middle and
a sentiment across the middle of the tree.
I pulled my new stamp set from the SU! 2016 Holiday catalog called Santa's Sleigh.
I did a quick watercolor and you can tell!
I stamped the deer in Chocolate Chip and then colored in Soft Suede.
I used the dies that match the set to cut some stars in Crushed Curry.
I did a different layout with the DSP.
I wanted it to show up more so I offset the DSP and the top stamped layer.
The DSP is some awesome prints in a paper stack called Warmth & Cheer.
Many plaids in that paper stack I am looking forward to using!
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday and play along now over at

I was asked to make a quick sympathy card for several people to sign for a friend
who loss her son suddenly last week.
I started with a 5" sq card base in thick Whisper White.
I added Smoky Slate card stock and then cut Soft Sky
with the Flourish die twice.  I used the Layering Circle dies for Whisper White.
Soft Sky and Blushing Bride on bottom.
I wanted to keep it simple and soft.

GDP049 Brighter and More Beautiful!

This color combo can work for so many things!
I like it and it makes me fell happy!
The Paisley & Posies stamp set with matching dies from the SU! 2016 Holiday
catalog also makes me happy so I paired them together for a cute note card!
The set has a few beautifully scripted sentiments and lots of elements/images!
I have been wanting to color this flower since I got it. I used my aqua painter
to watercolor the flowers changing up the order of color in the middle.

Made Of Wonderful

This is another card I designed for the inkbigacademystamps.com
design team.  I am featuring the wonderful Serene Scenery DSP.
I picked three prints I thought would work well together and look "beachy" or natural.
The base is Island Indigo and then the three DSP prints
layer around to form a cool background.  I stamped the starfish in crumb cake
and cut out with a circle framelits.
Added a favorite sentiment from the same set called Picture Perfect.
Then a little gold ribbon behind gives some shine!

It's A Good Day!

I designed this cute treat bag for Inkbigacademystamps.com
design team. Lisa Pretto, one of  uplines, sent me some of this yummy
Fancy Foil Acetate to design some projects.  One side is gold and the other is silver.
I love the Kraft paper here with the gold.  The doily in Watermelon Wonder
gives just the right amount of color!
The cute sentiment is from the Best Birds set.  It has great images
but love the sentiments/fonts in this set.

More With Peaches!

I had some leftover pieces from my card class this week so I
played around with different embossing folders and the stripe side of DSP
with other sentiments to created more cards with Fresh Fruit suite
for my card stash!
I used the Love You More and flowers from the Fresh Fruit stamp set with
the Sparkle emboss folder.
I also used from I'm Here For You set the Hang In There.
One of my guest on Tuesday night at class picked this sentiment
because the peaches do hang in the trees.
So fun! I used the Seaside emboss folder on it.
Last, I used a Hello from O, Happy Day card kit and the Softly Falling
emboss folder.

Hope Tags for Bags!

I bought these gift bags at the dollar store in purple!
You know purple makes me happy!
I decided to make tags for the bags using the the retired
designer paper that I colored with sponge rollers
in an ombre effect.  I used Rich Razzleberry, Sweet Sugarplum,
and Pink Pirouette.
I added die cuts from Sunshine Wishes
and tied with some retired white ribbon.
My August class members used these this week to carry their cards home.

GDP048 With Sympathy!

I love Tanja's card including the great balloons!
I was drawn to the colors which made me think of flowers.
I grabbed my fav set-Touches of Textures for flowers and
I have been wanting to use the lace looking stamp to make a background
so I stamped in Soft Sky on Soft Sky. I added a piece of Serene Scenery DSP
with the Old Olive dots for an extra appearance of texture.
I needed a sympathy car the other day and did not have one in my stash
so I thought this was the perfect card for that sentiment.

PP307 I'm Here For You

I thought since I was using a small image, I would do
a note card size 3.5" x 5" base.  I never use this cute latern from
my beloved From Land To Sea stamp set. But wanted it to "shine" on
this card. The sentiment from Here For You seemed appropriate.
I added some masculine stripes from By The Shore DSP and Calypso
Coral thick twine to finish it off.

FMS248 Thank You Vintage Leaves!

As soon as I saw the sketch challenge, I thought of these leaves!
Love the Vintage Leaves and matching dies!
I will play with them a lot this fall!
I started with a piece of Perfect Plum card stock and stamped in
Elegant Eggplant.  The I stamped Garden Green on a piece
of Old Olive card stock, cut out with dies and went looking for a sentiment.
I had a left over banner stamped in black from the Pop Of Paradise
stamp set I had used on a previous project.
I laid it on and liked the way it looked so stamped
it in Cajun Craze on Crumb cake and snipped it out!
I kept it simple and used a background paper from the

Touches Of Textures For Fall

My fifth card for class this month.
This is my fav set in the 2016-2017 SU! annual catalog.
I love the different textured images to stamp.
I also love the extra texture with the burlap ribbon.
I think this card can be for any occasion so I did not
use a sentiment on the front; however, you could stamp one on the inside.

I started this card with the DSP and grabbed my colors from that!
Love how the DSP or Designer Series Paper gives us the color combo
without much to think about!
I had my in color doilies out along with the Thoughtful Branches

I kept it real simple but added a little bit of pearls to top for more interest!

I love this bundle-stamp set and dies called
Thoughtful Branches and only available for purchase this month.
Hoping it will be in the spring catty!

I stamped the leaves in Emerald Envy on then same color card stock.
The tree trunk is cut from Tip Top Taupe and that is the card base also.
I like my bird in Cherry Cobbler so continued with that color for sentiment
