Hi Acorn!

I tried not to get this set but finally broke down and order the bundle-stamp set and punch!
I knew I would case this card from my upline and friend, Mary Fish over at stampinpretty.com.
She used Rich Razzleberry but I grabbed the Blackberry Bliss!
I made the "frames" with the square framelits dies.
I am not really great lining it all up (such an eyeballer)!
My fav part is the little button and twine on the acorn!
Have a wonderful Wednesday and thanks for stopping by!

Thankful Acorns

Fun card I case a little from Alexandra Grape in Germany at www.pinselschereco.de
I wanted to use my new Thankful stamp from Six Saying (host set in SU! 2015 Holiday catalog).  It went a little crooked but I liked anyways.  I used some Awesomely Artistic splatter and leaves from For All Things as a background behind my acorns!  Hope you have a lovely Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

#GDP003 Stripes For Baby

Truth is I do not make baby cards but about every three years.  I have not had a season of baby gifts or baby showers much in the past several years so my mind does not think baby easily for a card.  I looked at my Go Wild Background stamp and Zoo Babies was sitting right beside it, so this idea happened!  I will put it in my stash as you never know!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you can join this week's Global Design Project challenge!

PPA269 Flurry of Wishes

I did take this sketch kind of literal with the half circle of vellum (btw-it is the Wonderland vellum which has gold snowflakes on one side and silver ones on the back!)
I stamped in Pool Party and Smoky Slate and punched out lots of the snowflakes with the matching punch. I stamped this great sentiment in Encore Silver which is light but has shimmer on the Pool Party card stock.
I hope you can join the sketch challenge this week over at palspaperarts.com
Thanks for stopping by!

Warm Christmas

I decided I would case a card I saw on Pinterest
while I had my Flurry of Wishes set out.
Come back tomorrow for a cool card for my PPA sketch challenge using this set, too!
For this card, I stamped the background all with the second largest snowflake in Pool party ink.  I then stamped the duo snowflakes in Bermuda Bay and punched them out and popped them up on dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment and framed it with the Tags and labels framelits dies!
Hope you have a wonderful Wed. and thanks for stopping by!

GDP#002 Merry Christmas Tag

I started with the tag from Antique Tags which is a new hostess set in the SU! 2015 Holiday catalog. I punched with the Note Tag punch and then colored the image.  That gave me my color combo and I finally got to use the Merry Moments paper stack for the background paper.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by!

PPA268 Silent Night Stars

I thought of doing a gold background star as soon as I saw this sketch but not sure what I wanted on the top star.  I looked through my current sentiments.  I love the silent night but it was not stacked like I have here.  So I inked one part and stamped on a white star and inked the other word and stamped underneath. I then used the "crackle" vellum from the Wonderland suite in the new 2015 Holiday catalog but needed to use something to hind the glue behind it.  I finally settled on gold sequins and like how it turned out.
Hope you have a Fab Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

FMS203 Give Thanks

A quick card with texture!  I used the Woodgrain emboss folder which I love to run my fingers over...so cool!  I used the baby wipe technique for the leave.  Some Old Olive, Blackberry Bliss, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry ink refills dropped on the wipe and then used as my stamp pad.  I like it stamped on Crumb Cake, too.   I hope you can play along with the sketch challenge over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

http://www.global-design-project.com/

Sweet card for the first Global Design Project (GDP) color challenge.  These colors made me think butterfly but instead of stamping one, I decided to die cut and stamp my greeting over it!  I love polka dots so I reached for my Designer Series Paper stack in Neutrals and pulled some Smoky Slate paper!  I hope you can join the challenge before it closes tomorrow at noon...thanks for stopping by!

PPA267 Hello Heat Resist

Great color combo but makes me think spring so I was stumped for a little bit on what stamp set would use! Then I thought about a recent card I saw that was using the this heat resist technique.  I stamped one of my favorite set, Awesomely Artistic, in VersaMark and then embossed with clear emboss powder.  I sponged the three colors over and layered up some card stock.  I then realized there was some great Crushed Curry pattern paper in the Cherry On Top DSP paper stack!  Oh Joy, I finished my card pretty quick and love how it turned out!
I hope you will join the Pals Paper Arts color challenge this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Ornament Bags for Class

These are the bags I made from retired Christmas DSP and used the Delicate Ornaments thinlits dies for decoration!  Several of the ribbons are retired, too!  Great way to use up some of your retired products!  I made these for my customers to take their cards home from our first Christmas card class of the season!

I think the green and blue bags are my fav.

Another quick look at a treat bag I designed really fast!  I used the Floral Frames framlits dies to cut out 6 of the same flower die with the cotton paper assortment in the SU! catalog in Watermelon Wonder and then crumpled it to make this cute flower! The bag was made with the gift bag punch board using Cucumber Crush card stock. I stamped the tag and the butterflies in Delightful Dijon!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Thinking of Christmas Ornaments

My last card for September's Christmas card class!  I used the new Delicate Ornaments dies to cut the ornaments out.  The red ornament is using the new red foil and looks so nice and shiny in person.  I also used the silver foil for the ornament tops.  I love the new silver and gold cord from the 2015 Holiday catalog, too!  The Softly Falling emboss is so awesome!  I plan to use even after Christmas!
Another fav is the Precision Base plate that is for cutting detailed thinlits.  I highly recommend this base plate for your special cutting needs!
I hope you enjoy your Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Holly Jolly Christmas

I designed this card for my card class next week and did not know the Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon was retired until I went to order more for the class.  Luckily, if we run out I have a few more Cherry Cobbler ribons to use!  Again, I loooove the Christmas Greetings thinlits dies!  You can save by bundling this dies and Holly jolly Greetings stamp set!  I also think this DSP  called Season Of Cheer is awesome!  You can order the set, dies and the DSP in the new 2015 Holiday catalog now!

I sure did not want to cut this pattern of DSP...I wanted to hoard it!  But my desire to use it on a card won and I love how it turned out.  I stamped the leave, cut it out with the matching die and colored with markers.  I stamped a cool saying also in the Lighthearted leaves stamp set as the center.

Peace on Earth

First, the main item I wanted in the new holiday catalog was more thinlits greetings just like this peace and yes, I got them!  Check out the Chrsitmas Greetings thinlits dies on page 34 of the 2015 Holiday catalog for two other semtiments-Merry and Jolly.  It is bundled with the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set too for more savings!
I used On Earth from that stamp set here and the Festival of Trees stamp set that is still current in the 2015-2016 SU! annual catalog.  I stamped the trees off a few times in Always Artichoke ink and added some dazzling diamonds for sparkle!  I emboss the top Sahara Sand panel with the Lucky Stars emboss folder!   I hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by!
