FabFri173 Love & Peace

Fun sketch over at Fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com
I just received some of this suite from my friend Linda Heller
over at lindastamps.com
She sent me several 6"x 6" pieces of the DSP called Toile Tidings
along with some Garden Green 3/8" stitched ribbon, Real Red 1" ruched ribbon,
and Toile Tidings glitter enamels dots.
I had not bought any of this suite so was excited to play with them
and saw they would be perfect for the sketch challenge.
I used a Garden Green base and layered a piece of Real Red card stock
before adding the adorable print of Toile Tidings in Very Vanilla and Real Red.
I cut the stitched circles with the Stitched Shapes dies
in Real Red and Garden Green.
I added the Green stitched ribbon to the bottom.
I then cut the words Love and Peace out where I had stamped them
on Very Vanilla from the set called So Many Stars. I also used the
& sign stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black stamped right on the red circle.
I think these words go well with the scenes on the designer paper!
I finished off with a row of pearls under Peace.

Hope you can play along with the sketch challenge this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

My fav challenge is always a Tic-Tac-Toe!
Thanks Jaydee for the challenge today!
I chose the diagonal fall, die-cut, pumpkin.
I used the fall themed Come To Gather DSP along with the
bundle of Gather Together stamp set and Gathered Leaves dies.
Yes, this bundle has the cutest pumpkin stamps and dies.
Not to mention the awesome leaves!
I started with a Pretty Peacock base and added Early Espresso card stock
then the Designer Paper with pumpkins.
I added the strip of Peacock and Espresso across the background.
I stamped the large leaf and the pumpkins in Espresso ink.
I cut them with those matching dies.
I cut the detailed leaves also with Espresso and Peacock card stock and tucked them in.
I colored the pumpkins with my Stampin Blends markers
in Pumpkin Pie, Ivory, and Soft Sea Foam.
I stamped my sentiment from same set in Peacock on Whisper White
and cut it out with the Stitched Nested labels dies.
I finished it off with some Crumb Cake thick twine.

Wedding Day In Blues

I made a wedding card last week for a wedding my
family attended this past Sunday. I used the First Frost bundle
and the Night of Navy with silver as they were the colors for the happy couple!
I added the Seaside Spray ink in for a light blue.
I stamped the flowers in both colors and then cut them with the matching dies
called Frosted Bouquet dies.
I stamped long floral stems in silver ink on the white background
and popped the flowers up on it. I cut one of the filter dies in silver foil and
then cut it in half to add to the arrangement.
I cut the frame from Ornate Frames dies in silver foil.
I stamped the sentiment from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set
in Night of Navy on white card stock and cut it with the same dies.

Seaside Spray gingham for a lovely sky like background.
I stamped the ballons in Night of Navy on white card stock

I also love the sketch above and worked it in for this card.

I love black and white together and a pop of gold makes it perfect!
I stamped the weeds on the white label die in gold ink then stamped the

Beautiful Thing

I need to go away from fall colors for the last car for classes.
I always try for a little more purple than not!
I also do not think I have used this bundle card Beautiful Promenade
for class before so thought it would make a perfect addition to the line up this month.
I got the layout and stamping the background inspiration
I started with the Highland Heather base and added the layer of white
which I stamped a little with one detailed flower from the set
but I did stamp off once to make the Highland Heather ink lighter.
I stamped the flower in Highland ink on a piece of Purple Posy
card stock and cut with the matching dies called Beautiful Layers.
I stamped the leaves three times on white in Granny Apple Green
and also cut them with the matching dies.
*side note- I am crazy about Highland Heather with Granny Apple Green.
I cut that beautiful detailed die in white and stamped the sentiment from
Colorful Seasons in Highland Heather.
I finished it ff with a few pearls.
Beautiful card for last class card!

Come To Gather Fall Suite

My third card for classes this month of course is with this awesome new
suite called Come To Gather. I used a few pieces of the designer paper
by the same name on the background- one with leaves and one with plaid.
The layer behind the leaf print is in Pretty Peacock card stock.
I cut the Cajun Craze leaves with the die cuts called Gathered Leaves.
They cut and emboss the paper at the same time...so cool!
I cut the stitched circle in Crumb Cake card stock as well as the
Stitched Nested Label with the sentiment stamp in Cajun
from  Gather Together set. I also stamped the pumpkin
and the large leaf from the stamp set on white card stock.
The pumpkin in Cajun and colored with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin Blends marker.

So Thankful With Beauty & Joy

I like the different elements and textures on this second card for classes.
I started with the Crushed Curry base, a layer of Gray Granite
and then a layer of Crushed Curry again but ran through with the
Brick & Mortar emboss folder for great texture!
I added the strip of Come To Gather DSP in the wood
texture to the background along with the Curry crinkled ribbon.
I stamped the image from Beauty & Joy set on a piece of white card stock
cut from the Stitched Nested Labels.
I stamped the basket first in Gray Granite and then the tree trunk in Soft Suede.
I finished with the leaves stamped in Curry and sponged with Mango Melody.
I find it easier to stamp in this order to line all up.
I cut a white Ornate Frame and stamped the sentiment from same set in Soft Suede.

Rooted In Nature Technique Card

I got this technique for Rooted In Nature from stampingeorgia.com
and you can click the link for her cards and video here.
I thought my classes would love the technique which is sponging the
sunset look in three colors and spraying a little water to give a cool effect.
I did the sponging on a white strip of card stock cut 2 1/8" by 5 1/2" using
Gorgeous Grape, Poppy Parade, and Mango Melody inks.
I then sprayed it with a couple of squirts of water and let dry-maybe 10 mins.
I laid it down on my white base and stamped the tree three times from
Rooted In Nature set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I stamped one of my fav sentiments from Colorful Seasons set in Black.
I added the black card stock strip cut 2 3/8" by 5 1/2" under the white
sponged strip and added to my project.
I added a few black rhinestones for bling.

Hope my class likes this first card and technique!

I have a Navy base and a stitched rectangle Seaside Spray background.

PP458 A Gathered Wishing You Well

Love designing fall cards. This color combo made it easy to make this one.
I started with the fall paper called Come To Gather for the background.
I layered Sahara Sand and then placed on a Merry Merlot base.
I cut several Merlot leaves and then stamped a large
leaf with the Come Together stamp set on Sand in Cajun Craze and used the
dies called Gathered Leaves to cut. Same for the pumpkin except
I heat embossed it in Pewter emboss powder and colored with my
Light Cajun Craze Stampin Blends marker. I added a bit of linen thread for a bow.
I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Pretty Peacock with VersaMark
and used the Pewter emboss powder again.
I stamped the wheat stalks on Sand in Pretty Peacock ink and hand snipped them.

FMS401 Thinking Of Sea Horses

This is for my friend Gale who is still deciding on the
Seaside Notions set and needs another nudge to buy it and use it!

I was going for light colors with this collage under the sea.
I combined the Seaside Notions with my Sea Of Textures set with dies.
I started with the base of white and added the background in Seaside
Spray card stock ran through the High Seas emboss folder.
I cut the white in a 3 1/2" square to pop on top.
I stamped the sand stamp in Gray Granite, the netting in Seaside,
the my sea horse and shell in Gray. I handing snipped out the  sea horse and shell
after coloring them lightly with my aqua painter and Calypso Coral ink
on the sea horse and the Seaside Spray on the shell.
I cut the seagrass with the Under The Sea dies in int Macaron.
I stamped the sentiment from Colorful Seasons in Coral on the
strip of Seaside Spray card stock.  I finished it off with some
sequin from the Woven Threads collection.
