GDP295 Friends Like You

This new bundle called Flowers Of Friendship came just in time to make this card for the theme over at global-design-project.com this week as well as a thank you for my friend Patti Carbonell. Patti loves blue and green together so I grabbed Just Jade along with Balmy Blue for this sweet card. I stamped the sentiment in Just Jade ink and the floral image in Memento Tuxedo Black from the Flowers Of Friendship set on a small white rectangle. I then colored the leaves with Just Jade Stampin Blends markers as well as the flowers in Balmy Blue. I ran a piece of Just Jade & gold 3/8" braided ribbon around a piece of Basic White and Balmy Blue card stocks before layering on a Just Jade base. I was tempted to put more bling on with some gems but I like the simple and clean look.
Hope you have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!

I will be on Key West time starting this weekend for a much needed vacay! I will not be posting next week but back on June 21st so come back by!

Happy Father's Day From The 18th Hole

Showing off my Father's Day card I made my dad with the retired Country Club suite. I kept it because I knew I would make several more cards for my dad, brother and uncles who are big golfers. My dad loves three sports- football (he was a coach for many years), boxing (which he wished he did but loves to watch) and golf (he works at a golf course on weekends so he can play for free all week).
I did some casing of the layout from maecollins.blogspot.com I started with the Country Club designer paper first layering a gray print on a Basic Gray base. I then cut a colorful print and added some Garden Green behind for the middle of the card. I cut the white die in the middle from the Tasteful Labels dies and then cut garden Green grass 4 times to add with the Golf Club dies. I also cut the white gold ball with the dies and sponged a little Smoky Slate ink on. I added the wooden pieces in middle plus the wood shield at bottom. I stamped in Poppy Parade ink the sentiment from the Clubhouse set and cut with matching die to add on top. I also cut a Garden Green greenery piece.
Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

You're Absolutely Amazing Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Fun Ways to Use Your Stampin’ Up! Products” where we show our favorite product tips. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I am hopping along today to talk about heat embossing. I love to grab my heat tool and emboss but mostly I do it with sentiments like I did on the card above. Here I stamped the sentiment from Color & Contour stamp set in VersaMark ink and used my white emboss powder and heat tool to emboss on the stitched oval die cut from Evening Evergreen card stock. But I knew as soon as I saw the Daisy Garden background stamp, I would want to heat emboss it for an awesome background to my cards. I could have used the white emboss powder on a piece of the Pale Papaya card stock and it would have been fabulous.  However, I love to sponge and use the bending brushes so I grabbed my clear emboss powder and heat embossed it on the white card stock.  Yes, it is hard to see when embossing clear on white or white on white.  Have good lighting and watch for it to look wet as it heats.

Above you can see the blending over the image in Pale Papaya ink and those daisies suddenly pops off the page. I love the blending and it gives it a different feel. Sometimes we may have a color in the ink but not the card stock. We just make our own!

Here is another photo in a different light. To finished the card, I added the background to a Evening Evergreen base after I ran the same color 3/8" open weave ribbon around and popped up my sentiment. I finished it off with a few Evening Evergreen jewels for some bling.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 14th for “Wonderful Cards from the Garden” when our Design Team creates a project with flowers or scenes from the garden. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, have fun in your craft space.

PP544 Love You Seascape

I got so excited when I saw this large seahorse die in the new annual catalog! I LOVE seahorses! I cut this guy in the new in color shimmer vellum paper in Pale Papaya for Ann's theme over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com this week.  I started the scene by blending some Pool Party ink on the white background with my blending brush. I then stamped the coral in Crumb Cake ink twice with the Sea Life set. I then stamped the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink from Friends Are Like Seashells set on a Pool Party die cut from Tasteful Labels dies. I cut the coral twice with  Calypso Coral card stock and the Seascape dies. I added some opal rounds gems. I layered it on a piece of Calypso Coral card stock and a Crumb Cake base.

I will be headed this weekend to the Keys for a much needed vacay and beach/ocean time! I hope to see some coral and sea life when I am snorkeling!

FMS488 Mermazing!

As soon as I saw this designer print in the pack of Pattern Party DSP (free with host rewards), I knew I would pair with my mermaid. I am glad to have the chance with the sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com today. I started with stamping my mermaid from Prates & Mermaids set in Memento Tuxedo Black on thick white cards tock and colored her with my Stampin Blends markers in Poppy Parade, Ivory, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, and Granny Apple Green. Colors I pulled from the designer paper. I then hand snipped her out and added to a Pool Party stitched square. I then stamped the sentiment in same black ink on white and cut with the label die in Hydrangea dies. I popped all on the designer paper layered with a piece of Pool Party card stock and a Poppy Parade base. I finished it off with a blue adhesive-backed gem for some bling.
Hope you a fun Monday and thanks for stopping by!

I love the tic-tac-toe challenges over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com For Leanne's challenge, I grabbed my new Pirates & Mermaids stamp set and diagonal heat embossing, red and birthday. I colored the pirate with my Stampin Blends markers-Real Red, Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry, Pool Party(on the eye) and Ivory. I cut the Real red piece with my Stitched Rectangle dies back it need some texture so I ran it through with my Hammered Metal embossing folder before adding to the black base. Amazing Flamingo

I love flamingos and collect them on things. I have been happy we have had two flamingo sets in a row but this one is retiring at end of the month and I guess I will have to hold onto it since there is no other set to replace it. I love the bright paper behind my flamingo scene. I grabbed a fun stripe print from the host pack of designer paper called Pattern Party. I layered it on Flirty Flamingo base and cut a white panel to stamp my scene. I stamped the water in Pool Party ink and the grass in Granny Apple Green. I stamped the sentiment from the set Friendly Flamingo in Poppy Parade ink. I then stamped the flowers in Poppy on another piece of Basic White card stock along with my flamingo in Flirty Flamingo ink and cut them using the Flamingo dies. I popped them up on my scene.
Hope you have an amazing Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

I am playing with a new suite today called Expressions In Ink. I started with a Polished Pink base and added a strip of designer paper called called Expressions In Ink DSP cut 2" by 4" to the bottom. I then cut a piece of Basic White 4" by 4 1/2" and cut the bottom with the scallop die from the Scalloped Contours dies to add on the top. I stamped the large floral in Polished Pink on white card stock along with the smaller in Pale Papaya plus adding some Pale Papaya to the middle of the pink one. I also stamped a leave set in Just Jade ink and cut all out with the Artistic dies. I popped them up on the white top and added a few sequin from the Expressions In Ink Ephemera pack.
