PP792 Relax

I am playing with Joanne's sketch challenge this week over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com and this card is another for my son I grabbed some blue and gold. I wanted to use the gingham paper on everything so I started with it from the Gingham Gallery DSP pack in Hydrangea Hue with a piece of the same color behind on a white base. I then cut a strip of Golden Glow card stock and ran it through the Timber embossing folder. I stamped the sentiment from the Relaxing Waterside set in Secret Sea ink on a piece of white card stock. I stamped the chair and bird in Pecan Pie ink from the same set on white card stock. I colored the chair with the light Golden Glow Stampin Blends marker and the bird with the light Hydrangea Hue marker. I cut them out with the matching dies and finsihed with Hydrangea Hue dots.
Hope you can play along and have a beautiful day!

Birthday Triangle Treat Box For My Girl

I made a treat box to hold my daughter's lip gloss for her upcoming birthday! Check out the box from thepaperpixie.com here  My friend and fellow demo, Julie DiMatteo, always has what I need to make a 3D project.  I have a piece of Fresh Freesia card stock for my triangle box. I used different Lighter Than Air DSP patterns on all three sides. I used the cutouts from a retired emphera pack probabaly two years old. Sorry can't remember the name of this one. I tied a bow around with Fresh Freesia seam binding ribbon and added some silver sparkle gems from a Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped the sentiment from Simply Said set in Blue berry Bushel ink on a Fresh Freesia die cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.
My ends did not come out perfect so no photo of those.
Have a w wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Shelling Birthday For The Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s Stampin’ Pretty Pals Blog Hop is all about the Male Room theme—because the men in our lives deserve handmade cards too! Whether you’re creating for a dad, husband, son, grandson, brother, or friend, this hop is packed with ideas to help you craft something special. Today, the Pals are sharing male-themed card designs using Stampin’ Up! products, from bright and playful styles to classic looks and quick-and-easy layouts. If you’re looking for fresh inspiration (or just a good reason to dive into your craft room), you’re in the perfect place.

I made this card for a male friend and neighbor's birthday this weekend using three beachy sets, some heat embossing and blending brushes. I have a Secret Sea base cut at 4.25" by 5.5" and I layered with a piece of white card stock that I blended three inks with my blending brushes- Secret Sea, Lost Lagoon, and Pecan Pie. I then stamped the shells from the Shell Collecting stamp set with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder and my heat tool to make the background. I then cut a piece of Lost Lagoon card stock 3" by 8" and scored in half at 4" on the long side. I added a piece of white card stock inside which I blended some more Pecan Pie ink and stamped some small starfish from the Beach Time stamp set in the same ink. I then stamped the shells again in VersaMark ink on white card stock and heat embossed them in white embossing powder with my heat tool. I then blended the inks over them before hand snipping them out. I arranged them on the front and added some holographic sequin around. I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink from the Boardwalk Fun stamp set on a white label cut from the Rectangle Stitched dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Keep the inspiration going! I hope my project inspired you to create something special for the guys in your life. Be sure to continue along the hop for even more Male Room inspiration from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals. Next month will be Flowers in Bloom, so mark your calendars!
