Birthdays Are The Best Days

I made a few birthday cards about two weeks for a
couple of friends with October birthdays.
I used my new set called Beautiful Friendship.
So easy to make some fast cards with beautiful images/florals.

Top card uses the new in color Magenta Madness along with another in color
called Just Jade and touch of Blushing Bride ink.
I ran a Just Jade ribbon and added a bow and the sentiment on a
stitched circle.

The bottom card uses Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape inks
along more Just Jade.
I added the sentiment is on a stitched circle plus a scallop one behind.
Grabbed some Gorgeous Grape striped ribbon and bow to add.
I did some casing from Marelle Taylor over at marelletaylor.com

I got the layout for this card from from Kristi Gray over

birthday card that made me grab my Dressed To Impress bundle.
I started with the white base and added the Stylish Scroll EF piece in white.
I added a strip of Purple Posy gingham paper down the middle
and then cut a white stitched circle.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and then stamped
the images in same in on white card stock. I colored them with my

GDP263 Season Of Leaves

I did a little casing from my upline Mary Fish over at
stampinpretty.com for the leaves and layout on this card
for the challenge over at global-design-project.com this week.
I love these leaves from the Gathered Leaves dies
and I wanted to play with them again.
I pushed the leaves dies into my Rich Razzleberry ink pad
and then laid them down on my Pumpkin Pie card stock
and ran though the die cutting machine so it cut and embossed them
adding he ink into the grooves. Tip: It helps to spritz the card stock
with some water to help the dies really emboss well.
I then layered them on the white and black Stitched Nested Labels dies.
I also stamped the sentiment from Gather Together set in Rich Razzleberry
on a small Nested Labels dies in white.
I added all these to the Plaid Tidings background and the black base.
I finished it off with the linen thread bow and gold dots for some bling.

I was sad to see I did not have any current cake or cupcake stamps
for this challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot but I did have cookies!
Thanks to the Nothing's Better Than bundle I made a fun plate of
Christmas cookies to share.
I grabbed the plaid print from 'Tis The Season DSP and
layered it on a piece of Garden Green and a white base.
Before attaching I did run a bit of retired Garden Green ribbon
around the layers. I cut the scallop circle in Garden Green
and circle in white all from the Layering Circles dies.
I stamped five cookies from the Nothing's Better Than set
in Cinnamon Cider ink on white cards tock and cut them with the
matching dies called Love You More Than dies.
I placed them on my "plate" and decorated them with "sprinkles"
or red rhinestones. I started to keep them plain since they
looked like ginger snaps but they really needed bling.
I then stamped the sentiment and shape around in Cherry Cobbler
and Garden Green from the Warm Hugs set.
It was cut with the Warm Wraps dies and then I added a circle
from Stitched Shapes dies in Garden Green behind.
I also had to stamp the cute little candy canes from the set bundle

Christmas Gleaming In Real Red

This bundle called Christmas Gleaming carried over
from last year and I decided to pair it with the
Plush Poinsettia specialty paper in vellum.
I layered the paper over a piece of Real Red and then on a white base.
I cut a Stitched So Sweetly die rectangle in white and stamped
the sentiment in Shaded Spruce from Itty Bitty Christmas
which also carried over from last holiday season.
I also stamped the flourish from the Gleaming set
on the top of the scallop white in same ink.
I punched out the sprig from the Sprig punch in Shaded Spruce card stock.
After cutting it in half, I added it to the top to look like a branch
from which my ornaments are hanging.
I stamped on white the large ornament in Real Red and then
punched it out with the Gleaming Ornaments punch pack.
I used the smaller punch in that pack to punch the Real Red foil ornament.
A red rhinestone on the ornament plus a white 1/4" crinkled
seam bunding ribbon bow finish it off.

FF0069 Happy World Card Making Day With Hugs!

Happy World Card Making Day to you!

I usually do not post on Saturdays but had to
share with you all on this wonderful day!
I have been stamping and buying Stampin' Up!
for over 22 years and it is still my hobby!
I have a special person that inspires my each day and
I did some casing of him for this fun card.
My friend and fellow Pal, Brian King over at
stampwithbrian.com
You can see his card here
I get big inspiration from him with color combos and layouts.
I also sometimes forget about a set or paper and
when I see him use it, it reminds me to pull it out and use it.
This card is for the challenge over at
festivefridaychallenge.com I picked stripes,
circles, embossing, clean & simple plus the trim could
count as twine.
I grabbed the Heartwarming Hugs suite
and used the stripe designer paper for my colors.
I used a Pear Pizzazz base and layered another piece of the
same color on after running it through the Tasteful Textile EF.
I then layered Real Red and the striped Heartwarming Hugs DSP
for the background.
I wrapped some Real Red braided trim around and added a bow.
I stamped the circle sentiment from Warm Hugs set in Real red ink
on white card stock and cut it with the matching die from Warm Wrap dies.
I also stamped the cup in Early Espresso ink from same set and
two stepped it with Pear Pizzazz ink. It was cut with the same dies.
I cut a Pear stitched circle to add it all on from the same die set.
It was a quick and easy card thanks to this wonderful suite.

Hope you enjoy your day however you are spending it.
Thanks for stopping by!
