FMS413 Rest & Relax

Fun sketch over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com
this week and I had to play with a new bundle in the 2020 mini catalog.
I got my Christmas cards and projects finished so I could play
with my fav suite called Tropical Oasis.
I did not use any of the designer paper by the same name yet.
I did use the Coastal Weave emboss folder with the Old Olive panel of
card stock and it will be anew fav!
I added it to the white base. Then, I cut more white card stock
to stamp the background in Daffodil Delight with the Artisan Textures set.
I stamped the trees from Timeless Tropical set in Soft Swede for the
trunks and Pear Pizzazz with some Old Olive sponged on before stamping.
I stamped the flower in Crumb Cake ink and colored it with
the Stampin Blends markers in Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.
I cut these plus the leaves in Old Olive card stock from the matching dies
called In The Tropics dies. I added a rhinestone in the center of the flower.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment-love this one- in Soft Suede ink.
It turned out cute and worked great with the sketch!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

Plaid Snow Globe Duo

Yesterday I showed the cards I cased from Cindy Schuster over at
nutmegcreations.blogspot.com  (can see her cards here)
I decided I had to do them in plaid...why?  I love plaid and
I still have lots of this designer paper called Wrapped In Plaid!
Funny, I looped the ribbon in the green card but gave up in the next one.
I really am not good at lopping it!
Here I used the Snow Globe Scenes dies again for the animals in gold
foil and the trees in shimmer white card stock.
I cut the globes in vellum. I added some retired sequin to the globes.
I used a sentiment from Greatest Part Of Christmas on the deer card
stamped in Early Espresso ink on white shimmer and cut with
the Lakeside dies label. On the polar bears, I used a sentiment
from So Many Stars. I tried looping the
gold ribbon from the Chrsitmastime is Here suite on the deer
card behind the sentiment label.
I used a Shaded Spruce base and a Night of Navy base for these cards.

Hope you are inspired to finish up your Christmas cards/projects!
Have a wonderful Black Friday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving and Snow Globe Trio

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I just had to case Cindy Schuster's at nutmegcreations.blogspot.com
great snow globe cards! I just wish I was better at looping that ribbon behind! Ha!
You can see Cindy's cards here.
I have been wanting to play more with this Still Scenes bundle.
I used the Seaside Spray card stock for bases.
I added the same print from Feels Like Frost DSP.
I cut the globe in vellum and added to background.
I cut the pieces from the Snow globe dies and added the globe.
Some I added the sequin in white snowflakes or silver.
The churches are cut in silver foil and the animals in
Early Espresso card stock and the trees in shimmer white.
I also cut the sentiment labels in shimmer white from
Lakeside dies. I stamped the sentiments in Early Espresso ink
from So Many Stars (with the deer), and Greatest Part Of Christmas
host set. I finished off with some Seaside Spray metallic ribbon
looped behind the sentiments.
Hope you enjoy your holiday
