Brighter Days With Weather Together Bundle!

I did a little casing from Valarie Moody at stampingwithval.com
for my first card for August card class.
I wanted to use the umbrella set and matching dies but there are so many
things you can do with these products together. I loved the gray and red so had to
do the cloud with the gray behind!
I love how I could stamp the clouds on the top white piece
and the cut them out with the die
and pop them up on the card for 4 clouds!  So cool and simple!
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Swap Card For Gathering Of Greatness Chicago!

Well, this card was not an easy task...I just could not make it fast or simple!
I guess when I have to make 40 of something I think intricate!
I knew I wanted a fall card and mix both new and existing product.
I used the Woodland folder to emboss the background with a little
Tip Top Taupe sponged on. I also used the leaves with dies. Love them!
I watercolored the bird on watercolor paper. I washed him over with So Saffron,
then some Tangerine Tango.  I added both Chocolate Chip and Early Espresso.
Since I was heat embossing one leaf with Copper emboss powder, I added a little
copper to the wings of my bird.
I used Cherry Cobbler on Cajun Craze card stock
and Garden Green on Old Olive card stock.
The copper leaf is stamped and heated on Very Vanilla.
The vanilla seemed a little bright so I washed some Crumb cake ink over it.
I told you there was loads happening here!
It just did not need any sentiment!
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and
thanks for stopping by!

For You Jackie!

Happy Happy 60th Birthday to my friend, Jackie Roberts!
I was able to hand deliver this to her on Wednesday this week (the day after her birthday)!

I cut out the flower top in Dapper Denim and then in watercolor paper.
I watercolored the second in Dapper Denim.
I then washed it over with Wink of Stella for a little shine!
I layered the two together and of course, added several pearls!
After cutting the stem in Old Olive. I tried several DSP for the background.
Decided to give this one a shot from Serene Scenery. Love it!
I added some burlap ribbon to give some natural look.
I stamped a sentiment right on the DSP.
This card is a 5" square.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed weekend!

PPA311 For You With Sweet Flowers!

I started with the cute smallest jar and added sweet blue flowers
popped up on top.  Love the pinch of pink !
I decided to use one of my many note cards and covered it with
the lovely polka dots from Neutrals DSP.
I embossed the circle with the Brick Wall emboss folder and added my sweet jar.
I hope you can join the soft color challenge from my friend, Lynn Hoyt.

Thank You Branches!

I cased a card from the talented Cindy Schuster
from nutmegcreations.blogspot.com.
It is a simple card but looks so sweet.
I stamped Old Olive on Old Olive card stock and cut out with the die.
I thought I was cutting Soft Suede from a scrap for the trunk but I think it was actually
a scrap of the retired Baked Brown Sugar.
I wrapped a little Old Olive twine around the sentiment banner.
I hope your Wednesday is wonderful!

GDP046 Ahoy, Ombre!

I wanted a chance to play around with the Irresistibly Floral paper.
It is all white but has designs white embossed on it for coloring.
I used a sponge roller to apply my three colors of blue
for an ombre effect. I stamped and cut out the anchor
(thought too tricky to fussy cut) and the I did cut out the sentiment
to layer over it.
I added a few fish at top with some "bubble" rhinestones.
This special paper does have some great designs and will play more soon.
I hope you can play along with this great sketch challenge over at
global-design-project.com.
Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing Tuesday!

PP305 You're In My Thoughts

I started with the copper enriched DSP called Affectionately Yours
Specialty DSP.  I also knew I wanted to do my sentiment in Copper emboss powder.
I love the size and font from the You're In My Thoughts from the
new set Thoughtful Branches.  This set will be available for customers August 2nd.
The set and dies are soooo worth it!
Now if you do not have copper paper...it is hopefully an item in the
2016 Holiday catty...you make your own!
I stamped an image that is a little bit solid but has some texture to it from the
Jar of Love stamp set in VersaMark on my Crumb Cake card stock.
I heat embossed with Copper powder on to make a banner for my sketch.
The other banner is Mint Maracon.
I finished the card with a bit of Night of Navy solid twine.
I hope you can play along and be creative with this sketch.  head over to thepaperplayers.blogspot.com

Navy & White Birthday For Cheri

Happy Happy Birthday Cheri Henderson!

I started with the DSP.  It is so hard to cut this one, too!
Love this paper and the Night of Navy and White together.
I layered two prints together and then cut out the Flourish
to layer on top.  After I was done, I really was not happy
with the flourish on top of the dots but left it alone and
decided the flip and put sentiment on the top.
I hope you have a blessed Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Seaside Suite

Playing with my fav suite!
I started with the DSP..picked two of many prints I like.
I ran the seaside emboss folder on Mint Macaron card stock.
I stamped the fish and hand snipped them.
Then I stamped the sentiment and cut with the circle framelits.
Finished it up with some Calypso Coral thick twine I had
already cut from class a few weeks ago.
I love this DSP and it is hard to cut into it!
I hope you can be inspired with this great suite and
thanks for stopping by!

FMS246 Just A Note With Texture!

I started with my fav set..Touches of Texture!
I watercolored the flowers and stem/leaves,
then cut out with the Lots of Labels dies.
I added texture with stamping to background
then added the Cucumber Crush doily.
A quick sentiment from Picture Perfect set finishes the card.
Hope you can join the freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com

PPA310 Fiesta!

I did not use all circles but the placement is there from the sketch!
Really fun sketch from Maggie Mata at
maggiemadecards.com

I made this card special for one of my small group girls turning 18
next week!
I stamped the HB sentiment inside along with the llama.
Who does not love a llama?  I forgot to photograph it...sorry!

I think the yellow circle looks the the moon or sun
...whichever is more festive!
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

GDP045 Shelter From The Storm

Great color combo!  I started with the Smoky Slate underneath the
top Whisper White knowing I would die cut to show the gray clouds!
I used those same clouds to pop up on the card front.  I stamped the rain in
Smoky and the sentiment in Melon Mambo.
I looooove the umbrella with these polka dots...Melon Mambo dots!
I die cut this from the wonderful Pop of Pink DSP!

PP304 Watercolor Grapes

Funny that I had watercolored these grapes playing around on Saturday
and then I wake up yesterday to see that the challenge for
thepaperplayers.blogspot.com was watercoloring!
So I cut them out with the Layering Ovals, then gave them more layers for stacked look!
I used the Timeless Textures set for some textured interest
on the background of Old Olive cards stock.
Always love Old Olive and Elegant Eggplant together!
Hope you can play along this week!

It's A Good Day!

I had designed this background for something else that did not work.
I had set it aside and then saw it this week and decided to color another bird
and branch for a sweet card!
I stamped the background in Mint Macaron.
I watercolored the bird in Island Indigo, Mint Macaron, and Calypso Coral.
I hope you have a lovely Saturday and weekend!

FMS245 Thank You Fresh Fruit

I started with a 5 1/2" square card...
yes, I like square cards but do not use enough!
This is my first time using this stamp set called Fresh Fruit.
I love the strawberries but since I am a Georgia Peach, I had to use the peaches.
I masked the bottom one and to stamp the second one.
I stamped the dots from the stamp and used a few retired candy dots on the stripes.
I do love the matching DSP!
Hope you can play along with this great sketch challenge this week

I tried to resist this set and matching dies but I caved!
This is my first time playing with them.
I love hearts and decided to design with them this week when I
saw this color challenge.
I was envisioning just the swirly hearts but then tried the cut outs inside and liked!

PP303 Hello From Us!

I wanted to play with these dies...mostly because I was curious
with what those birds thinlits looked like!
I had not seen them used yet.
I tried several ways for the birds
to fit on the reg card size and this was best.
I used the Seaside emboss folder
because I think it looks like wood of a tree trunk.
I also think the birds to look like they were sitting on wires...cool effect!
