FMS197 Lighthouse Goodness

The words here photo real light but they are much more visible in person.  I started with some inspiration from Brian King over at stampwithbrian.com.  I used the It's Wild background stamp my wonderful upline Mary Fish at stampinpretty.com  gave me at convention last week!
I stamp in Soft Sky on Soft Sky card stock.  Added a Basic Black banner and the lighthouse stamp from From Land To Sea.  I hope you have a lovely weekend!
My daughter is having her wisdom teeth extracted today so we are in for a fun weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Here's To You!

This is the card I first designed for my card class but then decided too much DSP hidden plus I never got the color I wanted for the flower.  I first colored in Blushing Bride and then went over it with Melon Mambo.  I used my blender pen but probably would have liked the aqua painter better.  Oh, well.  Sometimes it is fun to try.
Hope you have a lovely Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

PP255 Special Day

I wanted to design a card where you can see a lot of the DSP and finally after many tries, I finally like how this turned out!  This is also my 3rd card for card class next week.  I feel so blessed that I won this stamp set called Garden in Bloom from my upline Mary Fish at our monthly webinar a few weeks ago. And on top of that, Mary's upline, Lisa Pretto is so generous that she sends out a goodie box each week for being consistant in posting our creations and I won this beautiful DSP called English Garden.  They coordinate and so had to use them together for August card class!
I also love the Tags & Labels dies and how they nest together with so many possibilities!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Traveler in Lost Lagoon

I wanted to use up some more of my Typeset DSP and then saw  a card I really liked using this set and DSP with Lost Lagoon....really like the combo!  The card I saw was from Cindy Beach over at stampspaperandink.typepad.com.

I changed it up a bit and pulled out a retired stamp set for the sentiment.
I hope you enjoy your Tuesday!  I am with my girl today who is getting all her wisdom teeth extracted!  So much fun!

Thanks Vintage Leaves!

I am in love with the Vintage leaves stamp set and dies!  This is the first card for my August card class next week and I did a little casing from my friend Ann Schach over at stampinchic.com.  I used some of her colors and only stamped and cut a few leaves since my guest will make two of these cards and I did not want them stamping and cutting all night.  But, of course, they can stamp as many as they are willing to cut out that night!
I hope you have a wonderful week!  I will be sharing more from convention soon!
Thanks for stopping by!

Note Pad for 3D Swap in Watermelon Wonder

Another note pad covered in Watermelon Wonder DSP from the 2015-2017 In Color Paper stack.  I stamped a flower from Flower Shop and added a little Cucumber Crush with a small flower from my Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and that same color in Lace ribbon trim behind. I liked it without a tag or words.
Enjoy your Sunday...I am flying home today from SLC Utah!

Notepad for 3D Swaps

My sweet friend and down line Tina, bought these note pads at the dollar store to cover and gave me some so I could cover with DSP and decorate for a 3D swap at convention.  I used here the Bohemian DSP.  I covered a few others with the In Color Paper stack in Watermelon Wonder.  I will show those another day.  On the tag, I stamped part of Just For You from Floral Wings stamp set.

PPA261 A Nautical Birthday

Displaying PPA 261 Jul 23

I cannot take all the credit for this card...my 20 year old daughter helped me design.  She picked out the color combo and the stamp set.  She also suggested I put different color circle behind the circles.
I really love the new washi punch...comes in handy for a lot of projects!
Join the sketch challenge this week and remember you can use any shapes, like stars or squares in this sketch!
Happy designing and stamping!

Hello & Thanks Dahlia!

I am on my way this am to Salt Lake City for the annual Stampin' Up! Convention!   So Excited!
I will share when I get back next week!

This is my swap card for general swaps at convention this week.  I used the Greetings thinlit dies in Hello and Thanks to add to the cards. Thanks to my upline Lisa Pretto for the free box of goodies in June I won!  She sent me a pack of Very Vanilla and a pack of Basic Black card stock and a coiuple of rolls of Very Vanilla satin ribbon and the Specialty DSP called Typeset.  I was able to make 66 of these before ran out of the ribbon.
Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

In My Thoughts!

Love the English Garden DSP!  So easy to use it as a background and add a sentiment for a beautiful card!

I also highly recommend the Tags and Labels dies from SU!  They have 6 of 2 designs which make layering so easy esp. for sentiments!   So glad i have these dies...going to be great heading into the holidays for tags, too!

I hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by!

PP254 Sending Good Thoughts!

As soon as I saw the theme for this week I envisioned using the Lots of Labels for a frame but not sure what to stamp inside the frame...Then I noticed as I looked through my stamp sets that this set called Perfect Pennants is perfectly oriented for this window!  I will have to use them again on a card this way!  I added some flowers from Petite Petals (which I have not used in a while) then a little embossing and I had a quick card!
Thanks for stopping by and hope you can join the theme challenge this week over at The Paper Players!

PPA260 Flower Patch Birthday!

I got the idea for the background from Kay Kalthoff at stampingtoshare.com.  I used a piece of Old Olive card stock and sponged it in Mossy Meadow after I embossed it with the new Brick Wall emboss folder.  I then used the Flower Patch set for the flower and leaves cutting with the Flower fair framelits dies. Very Easy.  Since i had this in mind for a friend's birthday next week, I added the Happy Birthday as a banner from the B. Y. O. P. stamp set
I hope you have a fab Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

My 20 year old daughter Amanda joined me in the stamp room on Monday to make some cards for her friends.  She was running through some of my retired card stock and DSP.  She loves to punch stuff out, too!
Here are a few cards she created:

Hello English Garden

Sometimes DSP and a great sentiment is all you need!  I love the English Garden DSP esp. these roses!  I usually hoard my paper but I decided I have all year to buy more of this and I need to use it.  The patterns like this one help to already have a decorated background and then adding a sentiment is easy. This one is from the Watercolor Wishes kit.
I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

PP253 Awesomely Artistic Birthday

All the light colors was at first throwing my off but after I decided to choose a stamp set (my favorite in the new SU! annual catalog), it went really well.  I had seen another card on Pinterest do the Hardwood background with the dragonfly and wanted to try it. Thanks Leann Pugliese from weeinklings.blogspot.com for the idea/inspiration!
I decided to try the new Lots of Labels dies in a new way too.  A little snip on the one end gives them a new look.
I hope you enjoy your day and join the color challenge over at The Paper Players this week!

PP252 Better Get Better Mom

My first thought when I saw this nature challenge was to use this set.  Then I saw Ann Schach's card with the leaves set I just got and wanted to play with it.  But in the end I then decided to go back to my original idea and do a little casing from the catalog.  SU! used the jellyfish and did a similar layout with using the striped silver vellum.  I have not used the sweet sea turtle yet and did some watercolor wash behind in Marina Mist.
This card is for my mom who had open heart surgery 4 weeks ago today and is not doing well.  Many complications since home from hospital and I hope this makes her smile!
Have a wonderful Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!
