GDP353 Sending Splendid Hugs

 

I really like this color combo over at global-design-project.com this week! It gave me another chance to pull out the Splendid Day suite. I just love this foil paper and decided to place this Soft Sea Foam print on a white base and then add a strip of white card stock to the middle. I stamped the large leaves from the Splendid Thoughts set a few times on it in Soft Sea Foam ink. I then stamped the stem in the middle in Gray Granite ink on a piece of white card stock and colored it with my Soft Sea Foam Stampin Blends markers. I cut it out along with several stems in Soft Sea Foam, Blackberry Bliss and Bermuda Bay card stocks. I then stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss on a piece of Bermuda Bay cards tock and cut it with the half circle die. All dies from the Spledid Stems dies.  I added some Brushed Brass butterflies and the lovely Soft Sea Foam seam binding ribbon to my white panel.

FF0114 The Beach And Back

 

I am playing along with the picks challenge from festivefridaychallenge.com with torn paper, texture and brown. I just received my fav set from the holiday mini called Sunkissed and made a card I posted Tuesday and this one here using that set. I also just received these new dies called Split Card Textures dies and have been looking for a card to use them. All came togther pefect. The base is Early Espresso card stock and I used the die to card the Crumb Cake card stock panel. I then stamped the sentiment on Very Vanilla card stock in Early Espresso ink and cut it with the Stylish Shapes die (not bannering the right end). I also stamped the palm image on Very Vanilla card stock by coloring with makers on the image in Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake inks and cut it with the Stylish Shapes circle die. I finished it off with rustic metallic dots on the sentiment banner.

PP601 A Chic Thanks

 

I just love the Texture Chic suite and happy to use it today for LeAnne's sketch challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com I grabbed a Petal Pink Base and added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock rab through the Timeworn Type embossing folder. I cut a strip of the Texture Chic DSP with the shells on it. I then cut from the Chic dies a two small shells with Petal Pink card stock and a large one with the distressed gold specialty paper. I then stamped the sentiment from the Season Of Chic stamp set in VersaMark ink on a Petal Pink die cut from the Stylish Shapes dies and then heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I finished it off with some iridescent rhinestones.

Hello Wonderful World

 

I am playing with lots of new product I just recieved this last week from the new holiday mini plus the Sale-a-bration (SAB) broschure. You can earn things for free with a 50.00 or 100.00 purchase now thru August 31st, 2022.  Here I am enjoying the Wonderful World stamp set plus the Wonderful World DSP I earned free with a 100.00 purchase. I layered two prints together on a Melon Mambo base. I added some white twine around one panel before attaching. I also tied a knot. I then stamped the flower on a white Stylish Shapes circle die in Melon Mambo and Mossy Meadow ink colored directly on on the image with my Stampin write markers. I also stamped the sentiment from the Ranunculus Romance set in Melon Mambo ink on the circle. I finished it off with a few heart pearls.

Happy Birthday Sunshine!

 

I love this new set in the holiday mini catty called Sunkissed! This is my first play with it and I stamped the umbrella image plus the seashells in Early Espresso ink on a white Stylish Shapes square die. I then used several Stampin Blends markers to color the image in like Pool Party, Soft Sea Foam, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Mango Melody, Petal Pink and Calypso Coral. Hard to see some of the small items like the shells at the bottom. I also stamped the sentiment from the set on white card stock and cut out with the half circle die from the Spledid Stems dies. I added to a piece of Soft Sea Foam stamped in the same color ink with the palm trees stamp image twice. I finished it off by adding to a white base and some opal rounds gems.

Best Wishes With Cottage Rose

My first play with the Cottage Rose bundle. I knew it had to be a purple color combo of course! 

I stamped the images from the set Cottage Rose in Basic Gray ink on white card stock and colored in with the Stampin Blends markers in Mint Macaron, Highland Heather and Mango Melody. I cut them out with the matching Cottage Flowers dies. I then cut a base from Highland Heather card stock,  added a panel of Basic Gray, a panel of Basic White ran through with the Tasteful Textile EF-retired, and then two panels cut with the Deckled Rectangle dies-one in Gray and one in White. I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray on the top White die. After popping up the images, I added some pastel pearls in Highland Heather to finish it off.

This is my first play with the Christmas Scottie bundle and I like how it worked out with the sketch challenge over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com  I stamped the pups in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock. One I could punch out with the Scottie Dog punch and the other two I hand snipped. I also stamped the bows in Blamy Blue ink on white card stock and punched them with same punch. I added the bows to the dogs and a black matte dot. I then stamped the plaid stamp on a strip of white card stock and cut it in three pieces to add to my white background. I then layered a piece of Balmy Blue card stock as while as a Basic Black base. I stamped the sentiment in Memento from the set on a white banner cut from the Stylish Shapes dies to finish off.

GDP352 Happy Thoughts

My first play with the new Fond Of Autumn bundle in the holiday mini catty. I wanted to keep Susan's sketch for the case the designer challange over at global-design-project.com  I love that this is one big piece and easy to color. I wanted to use some light colors with a little pop. I stamped the image on Very Vanilla card stock in Soft Suede ink. I grabbed my Stampin Blends markers and used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Petal Pink, So Saffron, Soft Succulent and Sweet Sorbet. I also stamped the banner in Soft Suede ink and the sentiment inside in Sweet Sorbet ink. All were cut out with the matching Autumn Bouquet dies. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock for my background and stamped the ink splatter stamp from the Quiet Meadow set over it in Petal Pink. I popped up my images and then layered all on a Soft Suede base. I finished with some rustic metallic dots.

A Happy Birthday Watercolor

 

I am trying to do some water coloring for water color month. I water colored the the flowers from the Happiness Abounds set stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black with Fresh Freesia ink. I added a little Mango Melody ink to the center of the large flower. I cut them out with the matching Blossoming Happiness dies. I cut a piece of white card stock and used the detailed die from the same set for the cut outs. I layered it all on a piece of the Hues Of Happiness DSP and a white base. I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink on a strip of white card stock. I cut a few leave stems in vellum from the same dies to pop on. I finished it off with some pastel pearls.

PP600 A Big Deal Wave

 

I decided to grab my whale from the Whale Done set and let it ride a wave from Waves Of Inspiration set for Ann's Kards For Kids challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com 600th. 

I stamped the wave on white card stock in both Coastal Cabana and Tahitian Tide inks from the Waves Of Inspiration set. I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done set in Orchid Oasis ink. I also stamped the whale in the same color ink on white card stock and punched it out with the matching Whale punch. I punched out the water in Tahitian Tide card stock. I layered the white card stock on a Orchid Oasis card stock with a panel of Tahitian Tide card stock.

Happy Thoughts Sun Prints

 

I wanted to make my own background using the awesome Nature's prints set. I took a piece of Orchid Oasis card stock and stamped the ferm over it with white craft ink. When it was dry, I added it to a white base. I then cut a piece of the Sun Prints DSP in the Gray Granite print and wrapped some Orchid Oasis twine around several amd finishing with a tie. I stamped the sentiment from the same set in Orchid Oasis ink on white card stock as well as the stem and the flower in Gray Granite. I cut them out with the matching Natural Prints dies. I popped them up on the DSP panel and added a bit of Wink of Stella to the flower.

Sending Hugs

 

Just made a simple card to send to a friend. I took a clear block I and inked it up with both Parakeet Party ink and Tahitian Tide. I sprayed water on it and stamped it down on my white card stock panel. When it dried, I stamped the sentiment from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set in Tide ink to the bottom. I then stamped on water color paper the bee and the stem from the same stamp set in Stazon Saddle Brown ink. I used my water painter to water color the stem with Parakeet Party ink and the bee with some Mango Melody ink. I used the matching Splendid Stems dies to cut them out and then popped them up. I added all to a Tahitain Tide base and a few rustic metallic dots finsihed it off.

Lots of Tea Cups Birthday Card

 I am back from a 3 week vacay! We traveled from Orlando Fl to Lake Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Napa Valley, Monterey, Carmel and San Francisco CA. It was long time but we had great adventures. We celebrated my daughter Amanda's 27th birthday there in San Fran and today I am showing off her birthday card!

I am not a big fan of the slim line cards as I do not like having to fill in so much space and make an envelope to match but this was a special occasion! This was for my daughter Amanda's 27th birthday. She loves turquoise and tea/coffee. I thought a slim line would be great so I could stack many cups together. I used the new in color Tahitian Tide with the Poppy Parade and some Mango Melody. 

I cut the Tide card stock 8" by 8" and score in half  for a 4" by 8" card and then added a piece of white card stock cut 3 3/4" by 7 3/4" to the top. I stamped the cups with the Cup of Tea stamp set- one in Tide and one in Poppy. I cut them out with the matching dies called Teacup dies. I also cut a solid and detailed cups with the dies to layer together from Tide card stock. I cut the last one from the retired Flowering Fields DSP with the Poppy print. I stamped my lemon in Mango Melody on white card stock and cut the same dies. I stamped the tag on white card in Tide ink and cut with the macthing Teacup dies. I added the tag with some white twine to the top cup. 

Before layering the cups on, I stamped the sentiment in Tide ink to the top from the Flowering Tulips set and used some splatter from the Quiet Meadow set in Mango Melody ink. After all the elements were layered on, I finished with some Tahitian Tide in color dots. 

I did decorate the inside with a Happy Birthday sentiment and more cups before forgot to get a photo. I made the matching envelope to fit the card with the retired Flowering Fields DSP using the retired envelope punch board.
