GDP137 Be Calm

I am doing a little casing with my sketch from Linda Callahan.
So did a great job with this scene and so I took some element from her.
I started with the Large white oval.  I stamped some waves from the lovely
new stamp set called Lilypad Lake in Pool Party
then I took a piece of Pool Party card stock and did the same on it.
I stamped the two lily pads and the heron on white card stock and
cut them with matching dies.  I colored with my Melon Mambo
and Lemon Lime Twisty markers.  I used my Melon marker to color
on the sentiment just the two words I wanted to add to my scene.
I layered all on a Melon base and added some glitter dots to finish it off.

Hope you can play along with this bright color combo over at

Fabfri136 Bubbles & Bottles!

I thought about this DSP and this set when I saw the colors
for the color challenge so went for it!
I stamped the bottles in Basic Gray and Bermuda Bay.
I laid them on a piece of the Bubbles & Fizz DSP retired from SAB this year.
I layered Basic Gray card stock behind then a Bermuda Bay base.
I stamped the sentiment in Bay on a white strip and layered it over the bottles.
I added some glimmer enamel shapes to the sentiment strip.
I then had to use the silver foil to cut some bottle tops...so cute!

Hope your day is bubbly!

Under The Sea Adventure

I have been wanting to make this with the clear block since saw this set!
I used the clear block D inked in Marina Mist and stamped on
a piece of Whisper White. I then layered the sea weed and plants in
Old Olive, Tranquil Tide and Soft Suede.
I stamped my octopus in Calypso Coral and cut him out to wave at us!
I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and then used my finger to
distress the paper and add Suede ink around with a sponge.
I layered it on a piece of Tranquil Tide for the base.
Love how it turned out!

Hope you have an adventure today!

It's A Beautiful Day!

I went with a clean and simple style today which reminds me of
my fearless leader, friend and up line Mary Fish!
A new set called Love What You Do is now available as an early release.
It is in the new annual catty starting June 1st but SU! is letting us all get it early.
I stamped the background in Pool Party and the flowers plus
sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black.  I layered on the lovely
Petal Passion DSP and then a thick Whisper White base.
I added the Pool Party enamel shapes for a little 3D (plus a saw
I had a little ink in the upper left corner there)! haha

Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

Rooted in Nature with Fig and Grapefruit

I designed this card as I was playing around with what to do
for my classes this past week.  I decided not to use the
new Rooted In Nature bundle until later.
I stamped the tree on white card stock in Soft Suede and cut it
with the matching die. I placed it on a Crumb Cake stitched circle.
I layered some Fresh Fig card stock along with a strip of
Nature's Poem DSP in a Grapefruit Grove print.
I stamped the sentiment in Fig as well as the texture
from Timeless Textures set on the Crumb Cake background.
I placed all on a Fresh fig base.
I stamped the leaves from the set in both colors and used the dies
called Nature's Roots framelits.
I finished it off with the twine from Nature's twine in Grapefruit.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Petals & More Mother's Day Cards

My friend asked me to make 5 Mother's Day cards for her
(between her extended family and her husband's they needed 5).
I grabbed the Petal Garden DSP with the Sweet sugarplum print.
I used two different print as per above.
I layered Rich Razzleberry card stock before placing on the
Sugarplum base.
I stamped the flowers from Petal Palette
in Memento Tuxedo Black and then colors them with
the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin Blends.
They were die cut with the Petals & More thinlits dies as well as the
Old Olive leaves and the Whisper White flowers underneath.
I stamped the sentiment from the You're Inspiring set in Sugarplum
and cut it with the label die in Lakeside framelits dies.
I finished it off with a few pearls along the bottom right.
It reminds me I need to make a card for my mom, too!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by!

Foil Boxes For Class

I made some open ended boxes for my classes this week.
I used the Foil Frenzy DSP which is thick and a kraft color
on the opposite side.
Perfect for boxes to hold cards from class.
I cut the 12' by 12' to 8.5" by 11" and scored on the
long side at 4.5" and 6.5" then scored on the short side at 2" and 6.5"
I cut the flaps and used scor tape to hold together.
I cut the butterfly from my Butterflies thinlits dies
with the Champagne foil paper and added to front.

Hope you have a beautiful day!
