PP727 A Spring Garden With Love

I am playing along with Claire's theme challenge for spring flowers this week over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com and I am using the new online exclusive suite called Lovely Garden. I have a white base and cut three pieces of the Lovely Garden DSP with the Textured Notes dies to make a background. I used the Thankful Garden decorative masks to blend colors of Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo and Shy Shamrock inks with my blending brushes. After I finished with the masks, I stamped the outline image from the Thankful Garden stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink over the top before cutting it out with the matching dies. I popped it up on my background and added some white starburst sequins.
I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink on a piece of Basic Black card stock from the same stamp set and heat embossed in white powder. I cut it out with the Mixed Labels dies and looped some Pretty In Pink ribbon behind it.
I hope you can play along and do not miss getting this suite!
Have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!
Windy

  1. Love this Windy - what a wonderful collection of pinks! The blending in the background paper works really well with your floral stem - I am hooked on this new set! I'm intrigued that you stencil then stamp, in terms of method; I usually do it the other way around, but I don't know why! I'm going to try it your way and see if I prefer it! Thank you for sharing over at The Paper Players this week!

  2. How gorgeous! I have the bundle but not the papers. They look fantastic behind the bloom. Like Joanne, I'm intrigued that you stencil the colour then stamp. Thanks for joining in with us at The Paper Players.
