PP396 Hello Animal Outing

I received this set called Animal Outing at Onstage in April.
I have been waiting to order the matching dies to use it
but this challenge called for me to pull it out.
I stamped the kangaroo with the koala bear in Memento Tuxedo Black
on water color paper and water colored with my aqua painter
the back ground in Pool Party and Lemon Lime Twist.
I colored the kangaroo in Soft Suede, and Sahara Sand.
The bear is colored in Smoky Slate.
I stamped the hello from Thoughtful Banners
and thought I could send this to someone as just a note or
use the stamp "little ones" with the set inside for a baby card.
I layered a piece of Pool Party cut
with the Layering Square dies in a scallop square.
I used a Lemon Lime Twist base layered with a piece
of Whisper White ran through the Big Shot with the
Hexagon embossing folder layered on top.
I added some Lemon Lime Twist ribbon that just retired along
with some of the same color in sequins which also just retired.

Fun challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com

June Class Bags

I make or design something each month for my class
guest to carry their cards home and it was bag time this month.

I had planned a nautical theme for the bags this month
but did not find white or red like I planned.
I found black.  I thought no way but my daughter
said I could come up with something bright/colorful for them.
I turned to retiring DSP like Tutti-fruitti and Picture Perfect Party.
I cut the DSP at 4 1/2" by 6" and adhered it to the bags.
I then stamped a sentiment on white card stock and cut it out
with the circle dies along with a Lemon Lime Twist stitched circle die.
I tied them on with either black or Bermuda Bay twine.
I added some sequin to finish them off.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
Thanks for stopping by!

CTS274 Be Happy

I started this card with the new in color DSP
Call Me Clover.  I like it but it is my least fav of the
new in colors so I though I need to make a thoughtful
effort to use it-esp the paper!
I added it to a Very Vanilla base and also cut a vanilla
circle die cut. I stamped the tree from the new set
called Rooted In Nature in the Clover ink
and cut it with the matching die.
I stamped with the same ink the sentiment from the set
and hand snipped the vanilla strip.
I decided to run the thick Very Vanilla twine behind but
it happen to do the shape.
I was trying for something else.
But I like the way it turned out.

Light You Shine In Blueberry

I decided my class needed to make another lighthouse scene
since it had been a year and almost a half ago we used this set.
I wanted to show off the new Blueberry Bushel in color
and it does look fab with the water here here.
The Very Vanilla base has a layer of Blueberry and then
a layer of Crumb Cake then another piece of Vanilla.
I stamped the lighthouse in Blueberry and Crumb.
I stamped the sand and weeds next in Crumb plus the birds at the top.
I Stamped several layers of the water over for depth.
I also used a sentiment from the same set in Blueberry.
I finish it off with the Pineapple Punch sun.
There are so many sentiments you can used on a card like this
so i will have several out for my guest in class.
Hope you have a beautiful Monday and thanks for
stopping by!

Beautiful Day In Pool and Razzleberry

I cased a card my friend Brian King ( stampwithbrian.com)
did several weeks back.  I changed the colors but I like the fold.
I cut the Pool Party Card stock like I would for a regular base
at 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and scored it at 4 1/4".
I then cut all but 1 1/2" of the front flap.
I then adhered a piece of Rich Razzleberry to the front and then the
white card stock stamped with the new Love What You Do stamp set.
I stamped in Memento Black Tuxedo and then colored it with
Rich Razzleberry Stampin Blends.
Before I stamped the flower and sentiment, I did stamped the
background watercolor stamp in Pool Party.
I added a another flower stem inside and colored it with the same blends.
I finished it off with some pearls on the front.
Hope my class likes the card this week in class!

Have a lovely Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Varied Vases In Heather and Lipstick

I love the new color Highland Heather!  Well, I love purple!
This purple will get used a lot!
I layered the piece of Heather on a white base
after I ran it through the Big Shot with my
Layered Leaves embossing folder. and added some
new 1/8" grosgrain ribbon in Lovely Lipstick.
I stamped the vase from Varied Vases in Heather and the tulips in
Lovely Lipstick and used the matching Vase builder punch
and popped them up with dimensionals.
I stamped the stems and leaves in Granny Apple Green
on the stitched white oval.
I layered a scallop oval in Lipstick behind.
I stamped one of the lovely sentiment on the banner in lipstick.

I really like how this third card for classes turned out!
Have a lovely day and thanks for stopping by!

Just For You In Mint and Petal

With a little casing from the new annual catalog
that starts today June 1st, we have a second card for
card classes next week.
I stamped my trees from Rooted In Nature set
in Mint Macaron- first in full ink and second after I stamped the
first without re-inking the image.
I cut them with the matching dies called Nature's Roots framelits dies.
I stamped the laves from the same set in Sahara Sand
on the same color paper and cut them with the dies.
There are three of them tucked in behind.
I cut the square in the new Petal Pink card stock--love it because it is a
soft pinky-peach color. It pairs well with loads of colors, too.
I layered it on the Soft Suede banner
embossed with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
I stamped the sentiment from same set in Suede on the square.
I finished it off with a Mint Macaron twine bow.
I wanted it to look fresh but not too fall so
I went with the Sahara Sand base and light colors.

Hope you have a lovely day and thanks
for stopping by!
