Wonderful Tree

I had some pieces of my tree card left over from classes last week
so I decided to use them in a little different way.  I first stamped the
background with the wood piece stamp from Rooted in Nature
in Sahara Sand on the Sahara Sand base.
I turned the banner to the side after running it through
the Pinewood Planks embossing folder.
I stamped the sentiment from same set in Soft Suede and the
large tree in Mint Macaron.  I cut the tree with matching dies
called Nature's Roots framelits dies and placed it on the
Petal pink stitched square.  I tied a Mint bow from the
Nature's twine and added a copper leaf from the
Leaves trinkets embellishments.
I like these colors together!
But I can't wait to use this set for amazing fall cards coming soon!

hope your day is amazing, too!
Thanks for stopping by!

Lovely Sympathy

I keep grabbing Lovely Lipstick when I used this set and
vellum but it is so pretty!
I cut a strip of vellum called Graceful Glass designer vellum.
I colored the the flowers with the Cherry Cobbler Stampin Blend marker
but it look so pink I used the Lipstick card stock to pair with it.
I also used the Old Olive and Pineapple Punch blends
and then layered it on a strip of Whisper white,
I cut a black detailed die from the matching dies called Stained Glass
to layer under. I stamped the sentiment from the Painted Glass set
in Memento Tuxedo Black to finish the card.

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Be Calm Heron

I have seen several people make scene using the heron in
black so it looks like a shadow and I finally got around to making a scene, too!
I used my clear block D inked up in Calypso Coral to
stamp the background.
I stamped the sentiment from the Lilypad Lake set in
Memento Tuxedo Black.
I cut the heron and two of the grasses in black card stock
with the Lakeside framelits dies.
I layered the white on black and then Coral for a very quick card.

Hope you have a calm day and thanks for stopping by!

Beachy Thinking Of You

Yes, we should be on the beach when you are reading this.
We go to Sanibel Island every year and I am in love with the beach there.
This card I cased some from the new annual catty and used colors to look
like sunset time. The Waterfront set makes it so easy to make this scene.
I started with the water using two stamps but both with Coastal Cabana ink.
I used a thin bit if the long land looking stamp to make a very thin sand land.
I stamped it and then tree trunks in Crumb Cake ink.
I stamped the palm tops in Granny Green Apple ink
and cut them out for a little depth.
I stamped then in Pineapple Punch, Flirty Flamingo, and finally Pool Party
to make the sky.  The sun was stamped in Pineapple and then over it in Calypso Coral.
When I stamped over it, it did not seem to look round anymore but I like it!
I ran some linen thread aound with a bow and popped it up
on a piece of Wood Textures DSP and layered it all on a Crumb Cake base.
The sentiment is a fav from Colorful Seasons set stamped in Coral.

Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

FMS340 Under The Sea One Of A Kind

When I saw this sketch, I knew what paper and suite I would use.
I think I will need to buy more of this designer paper called Tranquil Textures
since I am using so much of it in a short time period.
I layered the DSP on some Tranquil Tide card stock and then the
Soft Sea Foam base. I added a piece of Crumb Cake netting,
a Fresh Fig sand dollar along with a Mint Macaron one.
I also used the sea plant in Mint and Tide and all cut with the
Under The Sea dies. I stamped the sentiment from
Sea OF Textures on a Sea Foam banner and then finished it off
with a Mint twine bow.

I hope you are inspired today!
We are on the way to our beach vacation on Sanibel Island right now!
Come back for my projects this week (several beach/ocean related)

GDP141 Bloom With Happiness

What to do with this color challenge!
Pumpkin Pie is prob a least fav color of mine.
I decided I could do something with the vases from Varied Vases.
I pulled this DSP I still have a little of called Playful Palette.
I thought I could distract with the lovely black and white dots!
I stamped the shelf (not really straight I think) in Memento
Tuxedo Black and then the vases in Real Red,
Pumpkin Pie, and Rich Razzleberry.
I added the sentiment in Red underneath.
I also stamped the flowers in Granny Apple Green
and Real Red stamped off once.
I corner rounded my papers and added a Real Red card stock strip
between ran around with the new black cord.
I even manged a bow.  It is a little stiff.

Hope you can play along with this bright color challenge

FF0009 A Sea Of Blue

Lots happening here! Well, mostly Brusho which makes everything happening!
I used a piece of water color paper to sprinkle my Prussian Blue Brusho
Crystals on and spray with water.
It make a wonderful ocean water background for my friend
Harry the Octopus stamped in the new color Balmy Blue.
I cut him out with the matching dies and layered a piece of net in white
to pop on the blue! I stamped the sentiment from this same
set called Sea Of Textures in Night of Navy on a white banner.
I layered the water color paper on Navy and then a white base.
Love all the texture!
This could be a father's day card.  I already have one ready for my dad
from last month's class.
These die cuts are so much fun!
Hope you can play along over at festivefridaychallenge.com
