GDP275 Love You More

 

This is my Valentine's Day card this year. I just had to work purple into the black and white. I am also playing along with the love theme over at global-design-project.com today. I used the Forever & Always bundle along with the True Love DSP. A strip of the DSP was added to the white background then a piece of Basic Black and finally a white base. I cut the love in black for the solid background and the white for the word with the Always dies and added them to a Purple Posy heart punched with the scallop punch in the Heart Punch pack. I stamped the flowers and leaves on white card stock in Memento Tuxedo Black before I colored them with the Purple Posy and Soft Sea Foam Stampin Blends. I stamped the love you more in same ink on white and cut with the a label die from the Always dies. I finished off with some matte black dots.

My first play with the Hydrangea Hill suite and you know my love of all purple! I think it went well for the sketch today over at casethissketch.blogspot.com   I stamped the two floral images from the large flower with stem in the Hydrangea Haven stamp set but cut off the stem.

I stamped them on white card stock in Memento Black then used my blending brush to blend on some Gorgeous Grape, Purple Posy and Seaside Spray inks. I cut them with the matching die from the Hydrangea dies. I popped them up on a piece of Gorgeous Grape card stock layered on a piece of the beautiful Hydrangea Hill DSP before adding to the Grape base. I also cut some Old Olive leaves as well as stamped some blending Old Olive ink on. I stamped the sentiment in Grape ink on a the white die from the same die set. I like that it is stitched. I finished off with the Pastel Pearls I have been hoarding.

I did a little casing from Narelle over at narellefarrugia.com today..love her projects and these colors for the shells. I wanted to use the new Friends Are Like Seashells bundle for the sketch today over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com   I started with the Misty Moonlight base and added a print from the Sand & Sea DSP before adding a rectangle of Smoky Slate. I then cut a white rectangle for my shells and stamped some splatter or sand on with Misty Moonlight ink. I stamped all the shells on white card stock in Misty Moonlight ink and colored them with the Stampin Blends in Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and Pool Party. I cut the small shell with the matching die called Seaside Seashells but the other two I hand snipped. I placed some braided linen trim with the end pulled apart behind the shells and on top, I added the sentiment stamp in Moonlight ink on a Ornate Frame die in white card stock. Love how it turned out!

Beary Comforting Cards

 

I made this card with December 2020 Paper Pumpkin kit called Beary Comforting.

I added a few things that were not in the kit like a strip of Calypso Coral card stock on the first card.

I added a gold foil heart outline on the second and a solid gold heart on the last. I also stamped the bear with the stamp set and colored him with my Cinnamon Cider and petal pink Stampin Blends markers.

I hand snipped him out to pop on the card heart. I also used a round tag from another kit and some cut heart cut outs.

PP523 Dragonfly Inspiration

 

Great color combo challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com today! I had to pull out my Dandy Garden DSP along with the Dragonfly Garden bundle. The dragonflies were punch off a sheet of the designer paper which made this card super easy! I then added them to a piece of the designer paper with a Bumblebee color print and layered it with a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock. I then ran a piece of white card stock though with the Ornate Floral embossing folder and layered it on a Misty Moonlight base. I placed a strip of Bumblebee card stock on before I added my rectangle with images.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark ink on a label cut with Blackberry Bliss card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The label was cut from the new Messages dies. I finished it off with some Misty Moonlight dots.

 I love getting free SU! product during sale-a-bration or SAB! I am using two today on my project- a stamp set and two prints of designer paper. You can earn the set called A Touch of Ink free when you spend 100.00 or more and the Oh So Ombre DSP when you spend 50.00.

I started with the Blackberry Bliss base and layered a piece of the DSP with dots or circles and then a piece of white card stock before adding the second print of DSP. I stamped the hummingbird in Blackberry Bliss ink and then used the two step stamp to color it in with the same ink stamping off once to make it lighter. I hand snipped the bird out. I stamped the floral image the same way with the same ink color on a stitched white circle and added the sentiment. I ran some white twine around a strip of Blackberry Bliss card stock and finished it off with a bow. Love the monochromatic look especially in my fav color-PURPLE!

I loved coloring this designer paper called True Love. It comes in several cool prints in all black and white. I used my sponge daubers to add Magenta Madness and Granny Apple Green ink just where I wanted on the floral and leaves images. I then layered it on the piece of Basic Black card stock and a white base. I did add some Magenta ribbon before adhering together. I stamped the sentiment from a new set called Happy Thoughts in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white card stock and ran through with my new Stitched With Whimsy dies. These dies do not cut out but just add the fun stitching around. I finished off with a bow.
