PP346 Thinking OF You

I wanted to use the lighthouse
and the light shining from it to make the sketch.
I like the way it turned out with the blues and the Crushed Curry.
The lighthouse is a two step and I used Soft Sky and
Island Indigo. I stamped some water in Sky but used a
sentiment from Colorful Seasons with Indigo ink.
I hope you have a bright day and thanks for stopping by!

You're Cool Bags For Class!

I either make a box or holder for my guest
for card class each month or I decorate a bag.
This month I did a bag in Kraft (I buy these at the dollar store 3 for 1.00).
I used the Tasty Treats DSP retiring and then stamped words
from the Cool Treats stamp set as well as a
few frozen treats cut with the Frozen Treats dies along with some scallop ovals.
I think these could be for a dad as Father's day is approaching
or a kid or a cool friend!

Hope you have a cool day and thanks for stopping by!

Just For You Jar Of Love

I had a really hard time deciding on a 5th card for class this month.
I finally thought that I only used the Jar Of Love set for the
fireflies last summer when it came out but not again since.
I love the flowers and other elements for the jar and since this set and dies
are carrying over to the new catalog, I needed to use it!
I stamped the medium jar in Soft Sky and then added some "burlap" in
Crumb Cake and a string in Melon Mambo then cut it with the matching die.
I laid the jar where I wanted it and used a post it note over it to stamp the greenery
in Old Olive. After I stamped my flowers in Melon Mambo and cut them out with a die,
I decided where I wanted them and then added some more greenery.
The sentiment is from the Watercolor Wings set. I wanted a happy birthday
card but thought I would use this and guest can stamp HB inside or use
another sentiment on the outside...loads of room.
I wanted to use an emboss folder behind but the Brick Wall one did not work
the way I wanted but the Happy Heart folder worked perfectly
as you have a row of hearts on each side of the jar image.

I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and a great week!
Thanks for stopping by!

You're The Best!

Happy Memorial Day!
Hope you are enjoying the holiday!

My 4th card for class this week
uses the new Label Me Pretty stamp set and matching punch.
The floral stamped behind the sentiment is from the set
and the that is the new punch shape.
The sentiment is from the set, too. I used the layering circle dies
to cut the sentiment and the Stitched Shapes dies
for the oval in Sahara Sand.
I cut some Fresh Florals DSP in Powder Pink and layered a
Detailed Floral die on top in Rich Razzleberry.
I am using the Fresh Fig for class which was the plan but instead
reached for the Razzleberry. when I was designing.
I added some white satin ribbon which is retired
behind and some pearls to the bottom to finish it off.
I like the floral print in Powder Pink peeking out from
the detailed floral die.

Hope you have a exciting holiday today
and thanks for stopping by!

Creative Every Day!

My third card for card classes this week.
I wanted to use the new Crafting Forever stamp set and water coloring.
There are several awesome elements to this set but I love the brushes.
The sentiment is from the set and stamped in Night of Navy.
I used the Timeless Textures stamp set for the background.
I stamped in Daffodil Delight and Berry Burst on Daffodil card stock.
I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on water color paper
for the pot with brushes.  They were watercolored in
Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and Berry Burst. The pot was
colored with Smoky Slate.
I little Night of Navy card stock behind finishes it off.

I hope you have a blessed Sunday and thanks
for stopping by!

To Think Of You

This is my second card for classes this week.
I did a little casing from my upline Mary Fish.
I used the "flower medallion" as I call it from the
Eastern Medallions dies.  I stamped on Very Vanilla
the circle and sentiment from Eastern Beauty stamp set.
I used a circle die to cut it out then stamped a flourish around the petals.
I cut and layered some DSP from the same suite
and then a strip of Lime Lime Twist woven ribbon.
For my class I cut where vanilla is the base and then
the Dapper demin and vanilla layer on top as I was running
low on Denim card stock.  Still looks great!

Hope you have a fab holiday weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

FMS289 Hello In Gold

When I saw this sketch, I started staring at my stamp sets
trying to decided which one to use.
I love this Pop of paradise set and feel like it has been neglected
this spring.  And so it must be used!
I Stamped the flamingo in Melon Mambo and used the
Layering Square dies to cut it out. A little gold behind along
with the gold dotted paper from Pop Of Pink DSP.
I stamped the sentiment in versamark ink and heat
embossed it in gold emboss powder then punched
it out with 1 3/8" circle punch.
I decided to stamp the leaves in the bright green
of Cucumber Crush. I cut them out by hand.
This set always makes me smile!

I hope you can play along with this sketch challenge
over at freshlymadesketches.com
