CTS358 Hope Is The Power

CTS358

I think this is an easy sketch but I sat forever trying to decide what to do
since I knew I wanted to use my new set called Power Of Hope
along with the new embossing folder called Stone.
I think I got hung up on colors for a while but glad I decided for the
black background and pops of Real Red.
I started with the white base and added the piece of Basic Black card stock
after I inked up the folder top with white craft ink and pressed it into
the card stock to give the stone look.
I then cut the Real Red strip and ran it through the Subtles embossing folder.
I cut the white scallop rectangle from Stitched So Sweetly dies.
I stamped the temple stamp from Power Of Hope in Memento Tuxedo Black
ink and colored with the Real Red and Ivory Stampin Blends markers.
I stamped the sentiment beside it in Real Red
and added some red rhinestones to finish it off.

Love the way it turned out.
Hope you can play along over at casethissketch.blogspot.com
Thanks for stopping by!

FMS421 and PP477 Cherish

I did a little casing of my friend Linda Callahan and you
can see her card here. I decided to use the color
challenge over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com
along with the sketch challenge over at freshlymadesketches.blogspot.com
I started with the black and white print from Golden Honey DSP
and layered it on a Real Red base. I cut the white square and the
Basic Black scallop square from the Layering Square dies.
I stamped the parfum bottle from Dressed To Impress set
in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with my
 Petal Pink Stampin Blends markers.
I added some pearls I also colored with those markers.
I stamped the flower and hand snipped it after coloring it in
Real Red Stampin Blend marker.
I stamped the sentiment from Forever Blossoms on a white banner.
One day I will buy the matching dies for this awesome set.

Hope you can play along over at both challenges this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

GDP226 Bee Merci

It feels a little busy but aren't bees suppose to be busy!
I started with the Basic Black base for the sketch challenge
over at global-design-project.com this week.
I added the layer of Golden Honey DSP then cut four strips
of another print of that designer paper 1" by 3 3/4".
I cut the tower from the Parisian dies in gold foil.
I cut the Merci sentiment in white card stock form the same die set.
I stamped the bees from Honey Bee set on white in Memento Tuxedo Black ink
and cut them with the Detailed Bees dies. I colored a little on
them with a retired gold marker.
I ran the retired gold twine around tied it to finish it off.

Hope you have an amazing Friday and thanks for stopping by!

FabFri182 Colorful Happy Birthday

I decided to get colorful with my sentiment for the color
challenge over at fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com
this week.
I pulled out my Stamparatus to help line up the Happy Birthday
4 times with each color from the SAB set called Happy Birthday To You.
I layered the white with sentiments on a piece of Bermuda Bay
and then a white base.
I cut cherry blossoms from the Cherry Blossoms dies
in Melon Mambo card stock plus some leaves in both
Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay card stock.
I think it turned out kinda cheerful!

I hope you have a colorful day and
thanks for stopping by!

Paper Pumpkin Valentine Treat Holders

January's Paper pumpkin kit called I'll Be Yours provided 20 of these cute
treat holders/mini bags/mini envelopes. I decorated 15 of them
to take to my Bible study group this week(actually today).
All these elements came in the kit including glue dots.
I just bought the chocolate squares that easily slide in the holder.
I added a glue dot under the flap to keep the flap closed as the twine
is just for decoration. The kit  also came with the Stampin Spot
of Mint Macaron I used to stamp the for you sentiment.

Hope you have a beautiful day and thanks for stopping by!

CTS357 Simply The Poppies

First, my DSP is not lined up perfectly.
The sentiment at the bottom got a little smeared with the last word
and there is a cover up happening.
I was determined to not re make this card for the sketch challenge
over at casethissketch.blogspot.com
I used the Peaceful Poppies DSP in two prints cut at 1 1/2" by 4 1/4" strips
and added them to the white base.
I then cut the white circle and the Rich Razzleberry scallop circle
with the Layering Circle dies and stamped my poppies
from Painted Poppies set in Memento Tuxedo Black.
I colored just the flowers in the light Poppy Parade Stampin
Blends marker then added a little shading with my
light Blackberry Bliss blend.
I placed my sentiment at bottom in Memento from
the Varied Vases set. I had a little adhesive that must have smeared
down where I stamped the word best and it messed it up.
I then stamped the sentiment again on white cards tock in
Razzleberry ink and punched it out with a 1/2" circle punch.
I popped it over the mess up and it is now adorable!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and
thanks for stopping by!

FF051 & PP476 Love Of Lots

I used several elements for the challenge over at
festivefridaychallenge.com  I have arrows, a heart, red,
and pink on this Valentine's card I am also using in
thepaperplayers.blogpspot.com love is in the air theme.
I started with a Real Red base and then a white card stock layer
before the arrow print of From The Heart DSP.
I cut a Real Red Stitched Nested Label die to add my
heart I stamped from Heartfelt set in Flirty Flamingo
and punched with matching punch.
I stamped the sentiment in Red.
I stamped the arrow in Memento Tuxedo Black and hand snipped it.
I finished off with a few red rhinestones.
This card is for my son so I was keeping it simple and kind of masculine.

Hope your day is full of love!
Thanks for stopping by!
