PP594 Time For Tea

I am playing along with Anne Marie's theme challenge this week and decided I wanted to do two tea cups not stacked and without flowers in them like I have been doing lately. I cut both cups from the Teacup dies in Flowering Fields DSP in two different prints. I love the washed look of them. I placed them on the white panel cut with the Scalloped Contours dies and stamped with the sentiment from Cup Of Tea in Rich Razzleberry ink. I then stamped the teabag in Highland Heather ink and the small sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink plus the lemon in Daffodil Delight ink all on a piece of white card stock. I cut all out with the Teacup dies. I added a piece of white twine to hang my teabag. I layered the white panel on another piece of Flowering Fields DSP and Highland Heather base. I finished off with some purple flowers from the Fun Flowers resin shapes.
Hope you have a sweet day and thanks for stopping by!

Lighthouse Point Casing For The Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is “CASE the Catalog” so the Design Team chose a card from the new Annual Catalog and has CASEd it with their own creative twist. We really hope that you are inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My favorite bundle in the new annual catalog is the Lightouse Point bundle found on page 100. Above, I included a photo from that page of the projects Stampin Up! has provided to inspire us. I chose for the hop today to do a bit of casing from the card on the lower left in green. I kept the layout and sentiment but decided I would love it in Balmy Blue!
I took a white base and added some Balmy Blue ink to the middle of the base by blending with my blending brush. I then cut a circle out with the Stylish Shapes dies from a piece of Balmy Blue card stock. I ran the piece through the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder for texutre. I stamped the lighthouse on white card stock in Smoky Slate and then added the Black stripes. I stamped the light on white card stock in Crushed Curry and the sentiment in Black ink and cut it all out with the Lighthouse dies. I even cut the ladder looking die in Crushed Curry with the same dies. I finished off with some black matte dots.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 13th. Our theme will be “Create Your Own Background” when our Design Team creates a background using any technique they wish, such as stencils, stamping, watercolor, embossing but not DSP.

Until then, have fun in your craft space!

Hope you have a bright and beautiful day!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hues Of A Happy Birthday

I am using more of the flowers I cut from the wonderful Hues Of Happiness DSP last month. I cut many colors along with leaves from the designer paper to have handy with I wanted to make a card. I grabed a pink and yellow one to add to my piece of Basic White card stock cut into with the detailed background die from the Blossoming Happiness dies. I also added the leaves and some leaves cut from the Forever Flourishing dies in vellum. I layered it all on a piece of the Hues of Happiness DSP with several colors and a white base. I stamped the sentiment from Happiness Abounds set in Early Espresso on a white strip. I finished it off with some Daffodil Delight dots from the glossy dots assortment.
I hope you have a happy Tuesday and thanks fors stopping by!

FF0110 Beyond Chic

I confess I have not played with this gorgeous Texture Chic suite as I want to hoard this designer paper! But alas, I did finally cut into it for the festivefridaychallenge.com to use feminine, pink, sparkle, friendship sentiment, and patterned paper. I grabbed two patterns, one for the background layered on Petal Pink base and the other for the banner down the left side. I also cut into the beautiful distressed gold specialty paper for more bling/sparkle using the Chic detailed die. I then stamped the shell from the Season Of Chic set in Petal Pink on white card stock and cut it out with the same dies along with two shells in the same distressed gold paper. I heat embossed the sentiment from the same set I stamped in VersaMark ink in gold on white card stock and cut it with the Lighthouse banner die.
I finished with a few genial gems that seem to blend in.
I hope you have a beautiful Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Flamingo In Paradise Cascade Tri Fold

I wanted to do a fold card that could stand up for display so I used the cascade tri fold for my best friend's birthday card! She and I collect and love flamingos so that that reason I still have the Friendly Flamingo bundle.
The card uses a 5 1/2" by 12" piece of Crumb Cake card stock. I scored it at 4" twice to make three panels all measuring 4" each. I then cut the whole piece across to make it shorter for the front two panels. I cut designer paper that just retired called Expression In Ink DSP for the front two panels and inside I cut some In Color Shimmer vellum in Polished Pink and a piece of Polished Pink and Basic White card stock. Inside, I stamped the two sentiments from Friendly Flamingo on the white panelin Polished Pink ink.
I then cut two palm trees in white card stock for the middle panel from the Palms dies and a flamingo in the shimmer vellum from the Flamingo dies.
For the front, I added a flamingo stamped in Polished Pink ink on white card stock and cut with the Flamingo dies. I also stamped the floral piece on white card stock in Granny Apple Green along with a little flowers ring for the flamingo's neck and cut with the same dies. I did add a little Polished Pink to the flowers with my Stampin Blends marker.
I was hard to get good photos but hopefully you can see some of the details.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous weekend!

GDP345 A So Much Thanks Lighthouse

Yes, give me any color combo and I can use it with the Lighthouse Point bundle! Ha! I did use it today for the color challenge over at global-design-project.com  I started with the Deckled Rectangles dies cutting one in white card stock and another in Starry Sky. I then stamped the background from Lighthouse Point set in Petal Pink ink twice and a small "ledge' piece three times for the lighthouse to rest on. I then stamped the stripes in Starry Sky ink on a cut out lighthouse from Sweet Sorbet card stock. I then stamped the sentiment in Starry ink on white card stock and cut it with the Lighthouse dies. I added all to a Sweet Sobet base and finished off with a few Starry Sky matte dots.
Hope you have a blessed Thursday and thanks for stopping by!

PP593 Beachy Birthday

I was happy to see Ann's tic tac toe challenge this week over at thepaperplayers.blogspot.com as I love to play along. I have been wanting to make a beach scene and do a little casing from Carol Brown in the UK at thestampingground.co.uk when I saw her gold embossed palm trees. So I picked the top row across with birthday, embossing and ribbons. I cut a white base then another piece of white card stock to blend some Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake inks with my blending brushes. I then cut into the top piece with the Stitched With Whimsy dies for the stitiching. I grabbed my Paradise Palms set to stamp in VersaMark ink and to heat emboss in gold embossing powder the trees three times. I added the white 3/4" frayed ribbon plus used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut a Crumb Cake banner. I stamped the sentiment from the set in Bermuda Bay ink and cut it out with the All That die in an oval shape. I finihed off with some opal rounds. I wanted to put them around the trees but it just messed up the beautiful sky.
Thanks for stopping by and have a beautiful Wednesday!
