FF0035 Dreams Set Sail

Yes, you will see this set/suite a lot from me!

This is my third card for classes next week and can use it for 

several occasions. I started with a white base

 and layered a piece of Night Of Navy embossed with the Subtles emboss folder. 

I added the strip of Come Sail Away DSP with the sail boats down one side.

I then started layering on the white stitched oval. 

I ran the seaweed through with the Mossy Meadow paper and cut it in half

to place one part one direction and the other going opposite.

I stamped the boats on white in Navy and Seaside Spray inks.

I colored the bottom of the boats with the Balmy Blue marker. 

Those were also cut with the Smooth Sailing dies.

I cut the wheel in Soft suede and the sentiment was stamped in 

Navy on Seaside Spray and cut with the label die in the same set.

GDP191 Hello Free Birds

This is my second card for classes next week and perfect 

for the bird challenge this week over at global-deign-project.com

I stamped the birds from Free As A Bird in Memento Tuxedo Black

on thick Whisper White and colored them with the Stampin Blends markers.

I cut the image out with Stitched Nested Labels.

I used the same dies to cut a Crumb Cake one and then cut it in half to add 

behind the image.

I stamped hello from the set in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I ran the Daffodil Delight piece with the Tin Tile emboss folder and 

layered it on the white base.

I finished it off with the white dotted ribbon and a Floral Romance gold seal.

Happy Father's Day!

This is my Father's Day for card class next with

featuring the Geared Up Garage set and dies!

I stamped the car many times on the Tranquil Tide background

in the same color and then layered it on a Very Vanilla base.

I stamped the car on a piece of Very Vanilla in Memento Tuxedo Black

and colored it with my Stampin Blends markers in Real Red and Mango Melody.

I cut it out with the matching die. I added it to a vanilla oval 

stamped with some Smoky Slate "oil". I stamped the sentiment 

in Memento Black on Smoky Slate card stock

 and cut it with the matching die. 

I cut the gears out with silver foil paper. 

Hope my dad will like it as well as my class.

You can do this set pretty much in any color!

I used the Tranquil Textures DSP for the main background

and layered it on a Fresh Fig base.

I stamped the sentiment from Sailing Home in

Tranquil Tide ink on the white stitched rectangle along with the 

birds in Fig.

I stamped the light house in VersaMark ink on a piece of Tranquil Tide

and heat embossed in white. I cut it with the matching die

plus the Fig wheel and the Sahara Sand rope. 

I added some Fig behind my white rectangle and a silver pearl

to my wheel to finish it off.

FabFri164 Hello Wild Rose

I thought of this DSP as soon as I saw the color challenge.

I used the Floral Romance  DSP with he white

and Pear Pizzazz background and layered it on a white base.

I then stamped the wild rose in Flirty Flamingo and then stamped off to color it 

in with the two step stamping. I stamped the leaves in Soft Sea Foam and 

cut the rose and leaves out with the matching 

dies called Wild Rose dies.

I also cut the label in white card stock with the same dies.

On this label I stamped the sentiment from the set in Flirty Flamingo.

I added the pearl to finish off the card.

PP443 A Tropical Happy Birthday

I love this suite too and glad it is carrying over

to the new catty minus the DSP called Tropical Escape.

I tried to use several patterns to make it look tropical and chic.

It was easy to do when the suite is called Tropical Chic!

I started with the Granny Apple Green base and layered one pattern

of paper for the background, a second strip in two greens 

before placing the pink Blushing Bride strip on top.

I stamped several blooms from Tropcial Chic set in both Blushing Bride

and Lovely Lipstick and cut then with the matching dies called Tropical.

I also cut a few large leaves in Shaded Spruce. 

The sentiment is from All That You Are set stamped in 

Early Espresso ink and punched out with the 1 1/2" circle punch.

I finished it off with the Artisan pearls in Lovely Lipstick.

CTS142 A Nautical Birthday

Love this card! I love this suite!

I love nautical things!

The suite is called Come Sail Away suite!

I used a piece of the designer paper called 

Come Sail Away DSP layered on the 

Night of Navy base.

I stamped some of the compasses along the side

in Navy. I then grabbed a piece of shimmer white card stock 

and washed some Seaside Spray ink on with my aqua painter 

after I cut it with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

I layered that piece of more Navy card stock.

I stamped the lighthouse from the same set

Sailing Home in Navy on white card stock

and cut it with the matching die from Smooth Sailing dies.

I also cut a wheel from the same dies in Soft Suede. 

For the sentiment, I stamped each word from the Well Said

set on a piece of Navy and heat embossed in white powder.  

I finished it off with a silver metallic pearl on the wheel.

Love this DSP especially the birdcages!

I started with the designer paper and layered a piece of Old Olive

card stock before placing all on the white base.

I cut the stitched circle of bird from another piece of DSP.

I added the Olive stitched circle then stamped the sentiment

from Perennial Birthdays set in Soft Suede on the white banner.

I then stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black from 

Free As A Bird and colored with my Stampin Blends markers 

in Calypso Coral then I hand snipped them.

GDP190 A Come Sail Away Thanks

Love the Come Sail Away suite from SU! 

It starts on June 4th and I am so happy to play with it now!

I layered a piece of white card stock and a piece of 

Come Sail Away DSP on my Night of Navy base.

I added a stitched oval cut from more of the DSP.

I placed a strip for Seaside Spray with a rope die cut in white.

I love that die!

I stamped the lighthouse on Navy in white emboss powder

plus the sentiment.  I cut the wheel in Soft Suede and added a

gold metallic pearl to the middle. 

Great elements all working together!

FF0034 Hello Magnolia Blossom Z Fold Card

I went for creativity and fun fold today for the challenge

over at festivefridaychallenge.com

I did a Z fold card with the Magnolia Lane suite.

I used a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock cut at 

4 1/4" by 11" and score it in the middle at 5 1/2".

I then score one half of that at 2 3/4" and fold.

So simple. I decorated the front with some 

Magnolia Lane DSP and then the large flower from the

Good Morning Magnolia set.

I stamped the flower in Memento Tuxedo Black

and colored it with the Stampin Blends markers.

I cut it with the matching die called Magnolia Memory dies.

Inside I added some white and Petal Pink 

card stock and stamped my sentiment from  the same set

in Memento Black.

I finished it off with a gold gem in the center of the flower.

***Big tip: since the blends marker bleed 

through the card stock and would show on the back of 

my flower, I added another blank piece of white card stock

cut in the same shape to the back of my colored flower.

2019 Congratulations Graduate Cards

I had a grad open house this weekend for two guys graduating

from same high school.

I used the school colors( pretty close)

in Blueberry Bushel with white and black. 

I stamped the background with the Artisan Textures stamp

in Balmy Blue and added the sentiment from

Flourishing Phrases in Memento Black. 

I cu the numbers with my Large Numbers dies

from retired black glimmer paper.

 I have a feeling I will need more of the designer paper

before long...love using it! 

This new suite will be available June 4th called 

Magnolia Lane. 

I used the DSP here by the same name in the middle 

layered with Mossy Meadow card stock then on a Petal 

Pink base. I added the strip 

of Mossy with the sentiment heat embossed in white.

The sentiment is from the Well Said set.

I then cut the flower background in Mossy along 

with the leaves and the detailed flower in Petal. 

Love these dies called Magnolia Memory.

I finished off with some pearls.

PP442 Simple Thanks

I love the ruffled emboss folder but it always reminds 

me of siding on a house!  In this case, it makes this card look cool!

I used the folder to emboss a piece of Gorgeous Grape and then layered

the Grape on a white base.

I cut a white stitched oval and popped it up on the Grape card stock.

I stamped the vase in Memento Tuxedo Black on Grape and same 

ink with the leaves on Lemon Lime Twist. I used the matching punch called 

Vase Builder to punch them out.  

I stamped the sentiment on a black banner using the

VersaMark ink and white emboss powder to heat emboss it.

I finished it off with a Grape glimmer dot.

I like this clean and simple theme but since I do not have a plant 

stamp it got me to think creatively.

FMS388 Thinking Of You Magnolia Blossoms

Grabbing the Magnolia Lane DSP for this 

sketch challenge gave me the colors for my sentiment 

and flowers plus the base in Mossy Meadow.

I did not stamp the flowers..they were cropped from 

the designer paper withe matching die.

I stamped the sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia

on the stitched Petal Pink circle in Mossy ink.

I added a three pink pearls to finish it off.

Geared Up Birthday

I needed to send a birthday card to my step father

this week and I remembered I still had some pieces 

sitting on my desk from November Onstage with SU!

We do some make and takes and I did not assemble mine

but brought the pieces home. I used the black/silver ribbon, 

the DSP square and the Tranquil Tide gears die.

I added them to a Crushed Curry background 

where I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo 

Black from the Geared Up Garage set.

I also stamped the car from this set on black paper

with VersaMark ink and used white embossing powder

 to heat emboss. I cut it with the matching dies.

I finished it off with a black base.

Inside I did stamp the sentiment from Perennial Birthday

in Tranquil Tide and the tool box in black on 

white card stock.

GDP189 So Very Much Butterfly

Love the colors for this week challenge over at 

global-design-project.com 

Gorgeous Grape being a fav color, I knew I would 

use it for the base. I added a layer of Pineapple Punch and a white 

piece of card stock for the background. 

I used a texture stamp from Artisan Textures set in 

Pineapple to create a splashed background for my sentiment and butterflies.

I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala set in GRape

and cut it with new dies called Stitched Nested Labels.

I stamped the butterflies in Coastal Cabana and Grape

and punched them with the matching punch called

Butterfly Duet. 

I added some rhinestones to the butterflies and then colored three 

with my Highland Heather Stampin Blends marker and added to the 

bottom of the card.

I like the clean and simpleness of this sketch.

I started to emboss the background or stamp on it but I

liked it clean and simple.

I used the new in color called Terracotta Tile for the base.

I stamped the bird, leaves, flower and sentiment in 

Memento Tuxedo Black on the white stitched label

from a new set called Free As A Bird

then colored with the Stampin Blends markers.

I used Ivory and Petal Pink on the bird plus Pumpkin Pie 

on the beak, Granny Apple Green on the leaves 

and the flower in Flirty Flamingo.

I hand snipped the flower and popped it up on the leaves.

I used a piece of Granny Apple card stock and a banner of new 

DSP called Bird Ballad.

I finished it off with some black gems for bling.

Vibrant Vases For You

I am in love with these new Stitched Nested Labels dies.

It is hard to see the stitching here in my photo.

I cut the white and then the Berry Burst to layer.

I added them to the Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala DSP

and the Berry Burst base after running some retired Berry ribbon around.

I stamped the vase from Vibrant Vases on white in Lemon Lime ink

and punched it out with the vase builder punch.

I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black and Berry Burst 

and hand snipped them out.

I popped both up on the white label

 and added a Granny Apple Green glimmer dot.

I finished it off with a Berry Burst bow.

Bright Future Grad Cards

I had a request from a few customers to make some college grad cards.

These are simple but reflect the school colors. 

I used an old set called Pure Grumption that I have held onto to make sure

 I always have grad sentiments. 

I used the confetti emboss folder for the first along with Night of Navy,

white and gold foil. 

I used the stars emboss folder for the second along with Basic Black,

white and gold foil.

And last, I used a the simple stripes folder with Merry Merlot,

white, Basic Black and gold foil.

The little grad hat is stamped in gold ink from a retired ink pad.

The top two were made for females so I added the extra bling, of course!

All the cards look like this on the inside with the 

sentiment from Flourishing Phrases.

PP441 The Greatest With Tropical Chic

A great colour challenge by Joanne this week for The Paper Players!

Love this bundle and so glad it is carrying over to the new catty!

I started with a Granny Apple Green base

 then added some Tropical Escape DSP.

I mated the white card stock with some Lovely Lipstick

and ran a piece of Granny Apple Green ribbon around.

I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black 

on the white background. I stamped the leaves in Granny Apple Green

and the flowers in Pool Party, Lovely Lipstick, and Daffodil Delight.

I cut them along withe big leaves with the matching dies called Tropical.

Sentimental Rose Birthday

I made a full size card with some of the pieces of 

the April Paper Pumpkin kit. I cut the front of one card with the

script writing and then I stamped the rose and the leaves

in Gray Granite on the splash colored card stock.

I stamped the Happy Birthday from the kit and set 

called Sentimental Rose on the pre cut label. I added some twine and 

enamel dots fro the kit to finish it off.

I added it all on a Gray Granite card base.

Thinking Of You Flamingo

Another piece of DSP from my friend Jennifer 

from the new SU! annual 2019-2010 catalog starting 

June 4th, 2019. 

This one is called Follow Your Art DSP with some awesome 

bright colors!  I added it to a piece of Coastal Cabana,

Blueberry Bushel, and a base of Calypso Coral card stock.

I wrapped some Coral twine around before adding my circles.

I stamped the flamingo in both Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral

from Fabulous Flamingo on a white circle 

and then the sentiment in Blueberry from Colorful Seasons set.  

I added the scallop Blueberry circle behind.

Very fun card!

Magnolia Lane With Sympathy

My sweet friend Jennifer sent me several 3 1/4" by 4 1/2" 

pieces of some new DSP in the new annual catalog starting June 4th, 2019.

I used this piece to make a sympathy card.  I used last one in my stash 

this past weekend and this made the perfect background.

I started with the Mossy Meadow base and then a piece of white 

card stock, the DSP rectangle and then a Petal Pink frame 

cut with the stitched rectangle dies. 

 I cut the stitched oval and added the sentiment from 

Flourishing Phrases plus a few Pink pearls.

I know I am going to love this Magnolia Lane DSP and 

the matching items in the suite.

Hello To A Wild Rose In Highland Heather

I just got the new bundle called To A Wild Rose

that will be available for all in the new 2019-2010

annual catalog on June 4th, 2019

A perk of being a demo for SU! is getting some products early

by pre-ordering this month.

I bought three bundles total to play around with until the 

catty goes live on June 4th.

I took a piece of white card stock and stamped the rose outline in

Memento Tuxedo Black several times and then took the "solid"

stamp and filled them in with the Highland Heather ink.

I layered o piec of Basic Black card stock behind before adding to

the Highland Heater base.

I cut a stitched black circle and and heat embossed the 

hello in white emboss powder. 

I finished it off with some Gorgeous Grape enamel dots.

This set has a three step rose plus leaves and some lovely scripted

sentiments.

Here is my card:

I kept a neutral base with Crumb Cake card stock

but I decided to flip the layout as well as his colors!

I grabbed the Lemon Lime Twist Gingham Gala DSP

for the background and added the layers of Balmy Blue

 and Whisper White.  I stamped the sentient from Healing Hugs

in Blueberry Bushel on my white card stock and then I stamped the 

rose in Balmy and leaves in Lemon Lime on another piece 

of white card stock.  I hand snipped them to pop up.

Really clean and simple like the one I am casing- I was tempted to add

pearls or enamel dots but held back!
